I'm thinking of going to Guardalavaca, Cuba. Any of you guys been here? If so, can you share all the info you have.
What's it like?
Where to stay?
Clubs to go to?
How's the chica action?
Chica friendly Casa particulars?
Going rate for chicas?
Where's the best place to pick up?
What are the chicas like, attitudes, etc?
Thanks in advance.

I've finally booked a trip for beginning of May and am about to book a villa 1min walk from La Maison (Bar, Restaurant, Nightclub and fashion Shows) in Playita de 16.
Do you know if this a good area for girls, and within walking distance from the old town?
Thanks

Posts: 61I realize this is an old post but I will post for informational purposes.
Private taxi Varadero to Havana will cost every bit of 100CUC ($100USD / 80EURO)
What you need to do. If it is in the daytime go to the bus station in Varadero. There you will find people with private taxi. You can get a ride to Havana for 10CUC. 15CUC max. This is someone with a private car. It is illegal (for them). At first they will quote you nutty prices like 60CUC but they will go for 10. I ride these from Havana to Santa Clara regularly for 15CUC and that is 180km further.

Posts: 61Cuba immigration now is fast and easy, no hassle at all. They might harass you for a laptop or electronics. In this case they give you a piece of paper where you need to bring it back with you.

I know I will have to show my passport when I get to Cuba but how is that situation handled? Or what should I expect when landing and going through the immigration process?
Thanks

Posts: 11I won't be difficult to organize maid service, just ask.
Yeah it is better to ask the owner if you can bring in guests. If the casa has a license (and I think the casas from that website all have a license) , your belongings will be secure, as the owner is in trouble when things get stolen. Therefore, it is also better to inform the owner about guests, so that he can check IDs. It is like in many countries where hotels register girls for the safety of their guests and not to report to the authorities.

Posts: 130Thanks HL! I really meant maids to clean the rooms actually, as I didn't notice such a service advertised on the website.
Besides do you mean it's fine to ask the owner if I can bring girls in the villa? Is there any kind of security to check who comes in and out in such casas anyway?
Well noted about double checking the availibilty of the casa, will do!
Cheers

Posts: 11Talk to the casa owner to be sure that you can bring girls. Usually, the casa owners will not invite girls, as it is tricky business, pimping is illegal by law (prostitution is not, but girls are prosecuted according to a more general law for 'anti social behavior. ') , so most casa owners do not get into the business of inviting girls. Go to one of the discos mentioned on the website.
Also, when you reserve a casa in Cuba, you can never be 100% sure the casa will be kept free for you, as there is no payment by credit card. So, after you get address and phone number, call beforehand to confirm.
