POA is not at the same level as Rio.
Karadanche is the best terma in town, and it can be good only when they have their monthly party. I was not impressed but I went on a Sat afternoon. Entrance fee was R$30 or so.
All hotels should be guest friendly. If you need some comfort, Parthenon is not bad at R$124 for double booked online. There are more affordable hotels in Centro area in the R$80 to R$100 range.
Besides Carmen and Gruta Azul, you can try your luck at boate Swing on Rua Pelotas, 150.
Between escorts from Golden Amanda and laseducion; boates Carmen, Gruta Azul that's a lot of ground to cover.
Just tell yourself you're saving money while at Carmen as same girls will work at W in Sao Paulo for R$600.

I agree Carmen is the best boate in POA. Regarding previous post about take out. In Brasil you pay the price of the room for take out. So if the room costs R$50 for one hour, taking out a girl should cost R$50. It is common for girls to want to do session in house so that allows her to do multiple tricks but by midnight many customers take their girls back to hotel.
Price in POA should be same as in Cur, R$150 for short time. If you pay R$100 you have gotten a good deal. Girls in Carmen usually ask R$200 and settle for R$150. Some Carmen girls end up at W in Sao Paulo so it's not a bad way to sample gauchas to spend a few days in POA. (W charges R$600 for same pussy).
Karadanche can be ok if you happen to go when they have their monthly party so best is to call them as the regular shift is not that good.
Gruta Azul is the most expensive, fewer nicer girls attitude wise compared to Carmen, but girls will go for R$200 with some negotiation. Picking up a girl is costlier, on top of the room R$50 you have to pay for a bottle of wine R$80. Don;t be surprised if some girls ask R$500 as opening bid. Best is to laugh this out.
As mentioned also, Carmen does have a shuttle and will pick you at your hotel. If shuttle is busy, they will pay the taxi fare. So when you leave Carmen, even if you;re headed to Gruta ask for the shuttle as they will pay the taxi to drive you back to your hotel. The reason to do this is many taxi cabs are ripoffs in POA, the ones near boates. Some use the trick to switch bills so if when you;re going back with a date from Gruta, hold on to the bills and say out loud bills numbers.
I would say Gruta Azul has no ugly girls so selection is better than Carmen.
Also the Carmen manager/owner speaks very good English and tries to make sure customers are happy so talk to her if you have any problem finding girls. The food is also good at Carmen while at Gruta do not drink or eat as everything costs a fortune.

Update on Carmen’ Club in Porto Alegre (POA)

Let me update you on the Carmen’s Club located on Rua Olavo Bilac, 336 – Section of town called: Cidade Baixa – Tel. (51) 3228-7184 or 3225-8188 and www.brasiltopmodels.com.br they are also an outcall service when they are closed on weekends.

I arrived there at 1:00 am on a recent Friday night and my taxi driver got paid Real $ 30.00 from the club. He did not tell me this, but insisted in entering the club with me. I found out later from another taxi driver that other clubs are also paying that amount per client, the other clubs are Grutta Azul and I forget the second name.

When I entered they gave me a white drink card, where they wrote my name on the top. At the entrance lobby a guy from the house told me (after I asked him) that I would not have to pay the house a bar fine if I wanted to take a girl out. I entered the big room, where there was a strip show and a few girls where dancing either by them self or with customers. A waiter wanted to seat me immediately, which I declined, since I wanted to see what was going. A small blond approached me after a few minutes and asked in broken English, where I was from. I told her not from POA and that I wanted to just stand there for awhile. She got the hint and talked more to her female friend, who also looked constantly at me. I then decided to ask her to sit at a table to get the info on prices from her. A waiter picked out a table for us and seated her. I offered her a drink, she ordered a power drink, I believe called Red bull, I ordered my drink. I asked how much would it be to take a girl out, she told me R $ 150.00 for Carmen’s Club and whatever the girl wanted usually R $ 150. 00 or 200.00 depending on the time desired. I told her, that I might not be from POA, but I wasn’t interested in the gringo prices, but the real prices. She asked if I didn’t want to pay her R $ 150.00 and that was just the going rate. I said maybe true, but without the house fee of R $ 150.00, since the guy at the entrance told me 15 minutes ago there was no fee or fine to take a girl out. She called the owner/madam and asked me to repeat to her what I just had told her. The madam told me that there must have been a ‘language’ confusion and that there is a fee. I could tell she left somewhat annoyed by me and not by her entrance guy who told me a lie. I was not interested in further discussing the fees/prices with the little blond and told her that that was too much money for me and she should probably look for another client while the night was still young. The blond also had gotten ‘cooler’ after I told her that that was too much money for my budget. She then realized I was not falling for her foreigner prices, but at the same time she was not going to lower her initial offer. It was her loss and she stood up and left.

While this was going on a dark skinned young girl at a table next to ours, had been watching us/me and after sitting there by myself for a while I asked her if she wanted to join me for a drink. She accepted gladly and ordered a whiskey for her. We talked for a while, holding hands and she did not mind at all that I slid my hand in her dress at the back and the side. She moved closer on the bench the more I approached her. She pressed her nice firm breast at my side and chest several times and had a big beautiful smile. I asked her for the prices to go upstairs with a girl, since I knew they had rooms. She told me R $ 100. 00 or 150.00 I honestly can’t remember and just wanted that figure for a reference point. I was not interested in going upstairs with her, but taking her out of the club to my hotel. I asked her how much it would be if I asked her to leave, she looked at me and replied R $ 150.00. I asked if that would include the house fee, she said yes, she had to pay the house from that $ R 50.00 meaning she would go with me for R $ 100.00. I asked her for how long, by now it was 2:00 am, she asked for how long I wanted I said until the next morning, she again looked at me smiling and said ok same price. I asked the waiter for the drink bill, which he brought after the owner took a look at it, he told me R 50.00 which included my 2 drinks and the 2 drinks of the girls. I thought this was fair and probably some what discounted due to the ‘language’ confusion earlier. The madam might have realized that a lot of gringos bring in money and she better not over-charge all of them. Or maybe R $ 50.00 was just ok for 4 drinks, who knows.

I did not pay anything else when we left the club and took a taxi to my hotel. The taxi driver was Marcelo who worked for TeleTaxi Tel. 3226-1919 and his cell phone is 9203-5360. He was cool and explained the tips for the taxi drivers by the clubs, I mentioned earlier. After registering her at the reception we went to my room and it was 2:30am. She told me she was sorry, but just remembered that it was Friday night and she only got paid by the madam once per week on Friday at 4:00 am and that she had to go back again then would return. I told her that was not part of the deal and that I was not going to ride in a taxi back to the club where we just came from and then back to the hotel, she had to go alone. That put a damper on our mood, but as far as I could tell she honestly forgot and did not lie about it. She never asked for money and I told her let’s have a session then we see what we do. The session was just ok, she did not kiss me with too much passion and the covered sex was ok, but certainly less then I expected. She was friendly and caressing, but a bit nervous. She still did not ask for money, got dressed and said she really needed to get paid for the week; otherwise she would have to wait until Monday. I agreed to be Mister Nice guy and also got dressed and we called Marcelo who picked us up and drove us back to the Carmen’s club, where a lot of girls left the club alone by taxi, while we waited for her to get paid and come back out again. It took about 15-20 minutes, she apologized but each girl has different arrangements with the madam, some get paid daily some get paid weekly, and not all on the same day of the week. Marcelo was cool and explained a few things to me, he told me the price she quoted was real and not a gringo price, and that she is fairly new here, and forget her payday was Friday 4:00am.

We drove back to the hotel, got undressed again and the second session now was much more relaxed and passionate. We finally fell asleep around 6:30 am.

The next day, we got up late, went to a shopping mall for lunch, and then I bought her a few clothes. She still did not ask me for money and I offered her to buy the clothes, she did not ask for them. It was a real GFE in the mall and she got closer as the day progressed. I also bought her a pair of black boots she liked for work at Carmen’s. We returned around 7 pm to the hotel, she made a few phone calls and we went to bed again, had a great session totally unhurried with a lot of kissing and energy only a 19 year old could have. Later that evening we just went downstairs and ate at the hotel restaurant. She went upstairs with me again, without asking and we slept together holding each other until the next morning. After we got up, I asked that I wanted to take a few pictures of her, (for this board), but she did not want to show her face which was fine with me. Her name is Lauren, and I paid her R $ 150.00 as agreed, plus R $ 150.00 for the extra day, which she did not asked for. PoA has good scene tried Carmen, cover was R100 minimum consumption, room included like 100 girls, 90% blondes most 7-9s. i got there kind of late (1am or so) so most of the best ones were taken and it was a Fri. I managed to find a nice young blonde 8.5 Great BBBJ. She charged 300R (I found out later that she overcharged but what the heck).

By the way most upscale clubs offer a free van from your hotel. Just be careful, I intended to go to Gruta Azul, so I called the place and they told me to tell the guy at the reception to called them. I guess this hotel gets a commission from Carmen , because I ended up there. I didnt find out until I was having the BBBJ LOL! All in all good potential, but it gets very chilly in there. I was there in April and it was in the 50s, it's probalbly in the 30-40s now. I got a damn cold that ruined the rest of my Brazilian trip.

I thought POA was OK but not great.
I give Rio 9, SP 9, Curitiba 6, POA 6.
Curitiba and POA are weekdays only Tues through Fri.
I thought Gruta Azul had good line up but questionable attitude. Carmen was good but selection not as good. Both Golden Amanda and La Seduction have good looking escorts. Karadanche was bad.
The best looking garotas all seem to end up either in SP or Rio. But you can find good young talent in Cur and POA. These are big towns, 4M people with lots of coeds.
