Driving in Pudong last month, waiting at a traffic light, I was approached by two young men wearing military fatigues (including hats, but no insignia) who pointed to a camouflage painted jeep across the road, where two more soldiers where holding up a pair of military style infra red binoculars, offering them for sale! I've since seen the team several times around Pudong. The jeep looked brand new, but again, no insignia. Possibly a student rag week stunt? In China?

I'm staying in Shanghai this week in Pudong, and swarming outside my hotel every night are a bunch of men and women offering to take me to the "Ladies Sauna", with 300 RMB FS. I assume this is a scam, but if by some miracle it isn't, and someone knows the real deal about this, I'd greatly appreciate any information!

Anyone who goes with a tout is a fool!. No matter what they say or what price they advertise, they can't be trusted. This has been said on this forum pretty much FOREVER.

The chances of getting set up is very high, and nearly impossible to figure out if you are being set up before it is too late. You risk physical harm if you don't empty your wallet. Some people on this forum have even reported being strong armed into pulling money out of an ATM.

This goes for the Tea House Scam, the Buy me a beer Scam, the Sauna Scam, the Hottie for the too good to be true price Scam, the I am Learning English will you practice with me Scam, the I am an Art Student come see my artwork Scam, etc. You name it, it has been used as a line to draw you to a place where thugs will threaten to beat the living crap out of you. It simply isn't worth the risk. There are way too many safe options for pros not to mention freebies, to bother with the risk of a tout.

If you don't heed this advice, I hate to say it but you deserve what you get.

Those girls are there to sit, play games and drink with you. Your expected to tip them when you want to leave. You can negotiate to take them out but don't know current costs.

I am not sure about this club, but I do know that some "hot" clubs in Chengdu hire girls as "decorations" to give the club the appearance that is is "happening" whether it is true or not. I am sure the same thing goes on in Shanghai, heck that may be where they got the idea, since a couple of Shanghai clubs have "sister" clubs in Chengdu.

I have never really tried to pick up one of these gals for a number of reasons beginning with every guy on the planet has tried to get into their knickers and I don't have the language skills to make even a feeble attempt. On occasion though they seemed intrigued by my "lowai" status and have danced and laughed and tried to get me to buy another bottle which I decline.

I will say this though, they don't hire dogs for this job and as strictly eye candy. It works!

You guys seem pretty lucky. I went to this place around 11pm two weeks. I got a middle-age woman and I couldn't change because she was the only available.

The massage itself was very poor, I'm not going to blame her, she seemed really tired, those girls work for hours and are often asked to overwork (as she told me).

Regarding the Massage place referenced in the title, sadly I can not confirm the same experience. I was very near by last night, so I decided to stop in and check this place out. Based on Thekraz's review, I was very interested. My experience is below.

The pro:

- Cute, young massage girl.

- Intense massage. She was walking on my back, which I really enjoy.

- Cheap massage (RMB 208 for 70 min)

- Massage girl was very comfortable with anal play, massaging my balls, having her tits sucked on and having her body massaged / groped as well.

The con:

- It's built next to (or underneath) a local KTV. So, so annoying. Even my girl said they are totally annoying.

- My girl would take RMB100 for HJ, but for the extra RMB100 she said she'd only lift her shirt. She showed me there was no lock on the door, and felt uncomfortable. Absolutely no nudity.

- Even when I asked for her to slow down, she wouldn't.

- The showers are disgusting.

It is 600rmb for open bar on weekday nights. I didn't go there with the intention of picking up a girl, this place is a 'normal' trendy night club where 99% of you fat or old guys wouldn't even dare walk inside. But I can tell you it is full of 20 to 30 hot girls just standing at the back all night long. No-one is talking to them, they are not talking to each other either. The just stand there all night long. The music is also too loud to have any kind of semblance of a conversation inside.

Therefore I'm hoping some of you experienced guys can give me a heads up on what the dealio is with the girls there. What is a respectable price to take one home for an hour? In my opinion the girls are 'to die for'.

Yes, some saunas want the girls to fill the whole allotment of time to ensure she doesn't shortchange you and just get you off asap. The sauna business is very competitive and management wants to ensure decent levels of service to attract repeat business. There is a lot of investment that goes into a decent sauna.

BTW, if you are a regular customer, and the mommy knows you, you can certainly leave early without any problem. Sometimes, the girl is required to call the manager from the room after your session and put the customer on the phone to ask if everything is ok.

Right so, but this at the end does not change the fact that instead of lettig you check out and do "short" you just spend the time in the rioni not doing much. Happened to' me. Each place is different, but she likely does get something from the 288 base price. It also depends on the place and location, but many of the VIP massages at this price include a happy ending.

Anything else you give her on top of that is likely for her to keep. Most girls have a sob story, whether true or not. Some really are hard on their luck and really do need to make money for their family back in the village, and many are just smart enough to have figured out how to manipulate customers for more money.

For the most part unless it is clear, you are with someone who knows, or you know the mommy well, it is best to ask what is included in the services and the total cost involved. It is best to be firm with these girls or you will just end up with a really expensive and lame HJ.

Long time reader, and first post. To begin with, I want to thank everyone for all the useful information and resulting happy times! I hope I can begin to return the favor.

And Maotai Road. There is a separate shop entrance on Maotai Road. Big green sign that's hard to miss. It looks like a nail salon, but just go upstairs.

It's 288rmb for a 90 min 'VIP' oil massage. The reception and wait staff were very friendly and attentive. They spoke some English and the menu was in English. The rooms were surprisingly nice. Fairly new and really clean, with shower in room, and all amenities, like tooth brush, face wash, shave gel and razor, etc. They offer you a free beverage of your choice. Pretty relaxing atmosphere.

Girl comes in, and she's relatively cute for a massage girl (7/10). She's wearing a short black skirt, white blouse, and black blazer, so kinda classy. Not like those super grungy places where they wear worn out polo shirts and jeans, or cheap track suits.

I shower, towel off, and get those terrible paper thin disposable shorts on. She starts the back massage and it's not bad, and we're chatting the whole time, and it's going relatively well. Pulls down my shorts to my knees and starts with the ass massage. Shorts back up, then onto my back where the massage part basically ends and now she's just rubbing my chest and teasing me trying to get me turned on.

I'm doing the math. 550 + 288, well, I may as well just go to a sauna for that price and get the full meal deal, so I politely declined.

Now I'm just trying to kill some time off the clock, so I suggest I give her a bit of a massage (and so I could play with that nice ass). So I'm massaging and squeezing that ass like there's no tomorrow, when out comes a 'pffft'. WTF, she just farted! She laughed, and I did too kinda, but way to kill the mood if you're really trying to convince me to get the extra. 'pffft'. What! Again. Um, anyhow.

She keeps trying to persuade me, and I keep saying no thanks, I'm fine. Time's almost up, so I'm like, look I got to go, so I get up and start getting changed. She continues to try and convince me, and when she finally realizes I'm not going for it, (what gave it away, the fact that I was fully dressed by now?) asks me for a tip. I'm like, fine, here's 50, and she's insulted. I'm thinking I didn't get anything extra, so do I really need to tip that much? And then she starts going into this sob story about how she gets zero out of the 288rmb and she only makes tips, and guys never go there just for a massage. I ended up giving her 100rmb just to shut her up, and she has the audacity to ask, how about the small bills in your wallet too? I roll my eyes and am like WTF and walk out (I did happen to see another cutie as I was leaving though. Haha).

Bottom line, if you want an ok massage with a happy ending, in a nice environment with above average looking girls, then this is a place worth checking out.

My question though is, is it true what she said about the house getting all 288rmb?

Not been there, but a lot of bars and clubs use hotties to attract people.

These girls are most likely paid be part of the decoration.

They may also be available to sit with you for a fee, but I seriously doubt you can take them home for free or at all.

House takes about 75 percent, So that leaves her (in this case) with 72 rmb. Usually the girls get a bonus of around 50 rmb for a repeat customer. So if you return and specifically ask for her she gets another 50 on top of the 72. The girls also get a bonus for upgrading your chosen package and can get bonusses for various extra services to the house: for example training other girls.

Also my experience at several MP's in Pudong, girl gets 30 percent, returning customers, or customers asking for specific girls are highly valued as the girl retains her place on the rota. Tips are always for the girl.
