I checked this one out for several days after Crazy4thai's review (thanks for that one!).
I would disagree with him that it is at the same level as the Citadines; the Citadines I would say are more clean and well-maintained. In Le Fenix they are some stains on the carpet, walls, etc. However I still like Le Fenix more. It has an hip factor to it, it's not as boring as many hotels, including many with a much higher price. It reminds me of the Renaissance in a way (obviously a much cheaper version of it). Nice rooftop bar also. The pool and fitness room however are very small and just useless.
The location is good, close to Nana, and right in front of Q Bar, Bed Club, and another club I forgot the name of.
Totally girl friendly in my experience. You can bring girls in from the 1st floor, bypassing the reception, or register them on the 2d floor, either way, no problem. I've even sent a girl to my room before I had checked in, with a phone call to the reception.
At 999 baths a day, this is the best value for money I've seen in BKK so far. And Wifi is free.

Not much to say that Barco hasn't said yet, see his previous reviews. It's a hip hotel. Many gay customers. Colorful lobby and rooms. Top of the line everything, from bedsheets to bathroom fixtures. Nice huge mirror on the side of the bed.
This hotel has personality, compared to many 4-5 stars hotels that can be comfy but bland by comparison (for example, the Grand Millennium). Location is not that good for P4P, you need a taxi for a few minutes whether you come from Nana or Cowboy. It hasn't been a problem for me though.
The breakfast is excellent, with a lot of variety (buffet).
Personally, I loved it. This is the hotel I stayed in the longest during this trip. At 3000 a day, an excellent deal for the money, given what you get.
Note that Wifi is expensive at 500 a day.

not sure if its available for farangs too.
haven't you also heard numerous stories of thais with bought driver's licenses causing accidents and never having learned to drive properly? i thought this was well known. e.g. one girl i have know for many years told me she bought her license and had a few accidents due to not having learned to drive properly. she was also is bad accident when on a motor-bike. an **** kid in a car/trunk crashed into the back of her motorcycle. not sure if the kid had a license at all.
what about the incident where several people were thrown from the van on the expressway. did the girl driving the sedan have a proper license? i forget. the real important problem is that people in vans don't wear seltbelfts. sorry i'm getting off topic.

It's not unusual in rural parts of this country and I know several persons who can't have an ID card or a passport because their parents did not register their birth (often, their parents themselves don't have any identification document). Most of them are children of peasants or farmers and don't have much chance to become something else when they grow up. Some girls with no ID card become hookers (usually in a local brothel), but it may be problematic for them and for their customers too if a police officer wants to check those girls' age and nationality, for instance!

General Advice:
Don't go with girls on their first day in a bar or MP who are just trying out. They can be rip-off girls, who are not intending to really work at the place.
Take reliably sourced girls to your Hotel room and there is little need to worry about security stuff.
