I don't see any decline in the interest of Chinese women for foreigners, rather to the contrary. I am doing better now with freebies than I ever have in the 16+ years I have been living in China.

OK, if you are looking for the 18-23yo super stunners in the major cities, you are facing too much competition from the new rich locals and BSD overseas Chinese guys that shower them with money, apartments, cars and lavish gifts. I set my sights on the 28-35yo age group. In this age bracket, I am not competing with the BSDs and have great success.

I have been reading with interest the recent threads on westerners travelling in China with local girls: I seem to be getting a problem with the 'reverse direction'.

I am a 60 year old Australian living in Sydney. I am married with a couple of young kids, but a 'stale' marriage. I played around with quite a few younger Japanese and Chinese girls in my single years, and would now like to try out some mature women for the occasional sortie. My 'market research' indicates there are a lot of reasonable looking local divorced or widowed ladies in the late 40s to early 60s who would like some company. Just for the fun of it I put a listing in a Chinese dating / marriage agency website, stating quite clearly where I was and what I was looking for.

Needless to say I have already been inundated with dozens of marriage proposals, obviously written by agency 'translators', which in no way address my criteria. However a couple did stand out. One was a woman with a daughter living in Melbourne who she visited regularly, and offered to come up to Sydney and meet me. The other was a mid 40s widow whose endearing features include 'liking to walk around the house naked; horny most of the time; lots of sexual energy waiting to be released; get hot and wet easily'. She seems quite willing to jump on a plane and come over here, after exchange of only a couple of e-mails, and not even a decent photo of me. Both women assure me that although they are really looking for permanent relationships (which I have told them I'm not) , they feel there is nothing wrong with having an extra 'friend' in the meantime.

There is an old saying business 'if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is', and these proposals have set my alarm bells ringing. Neither woman has made suggestions of my 'funding' any part of their trip yet (they appear to be independently well off) , but I can't help feeling that it is all a bit too easy. The first one I feel reasonably comfortable about, but the second one is a bit 'scary'.

Any past experiences or suggestions from other subscribers?

One thing I was told before I came to the great 'Middle Kingdom' and has always rung true, is that Chinese will never tell you everything. But be assured, you will pay. Women of this age who are divorced and have a kid, have little or no chance of scoring a Chinese guy. They are probably thinking that once you get a taste of their oriental charms, that you will be putty in their hands, and if you are paying, they have nothing to lose. Play the game, try them out, have some fun, but keep your guard up Chinese women have all the tricks to beguile you. Might be easy to get, but difficult to get rid of. Store your conscience in a safe place and enjoy the experience.

One technique that western men use is 'drawing the alphabet' with their tongue. Quick random patterns are often effective.

To support my studies, I have substituted Chinese characters for the alphabet when 'going down'.

I did not know that Shenzhen is pretty easy too because I thought most of the single women in Shenzhen are occupied by Hong Kong men already.

It has been a while since I've been there, but I just went to the nightclubs. At the time the women were not only approachable, but they were approaching me. These were freebie women, not pros seeking a transaction.
