Are Anma the same as double-barber poles? The Daum map pictures did not show any double-barber pole so I cannot work out which shop it is suppose to be showing.

Also, can some one post the Hankuk characters for Anma. Will put this on my smart phone for reference.

1. Anma (massage parlors) are not the same as double-barber poles. Anma offer baths, often body to body rubdowns, often BJ, tongue baths, AR, and FS for 180, 000-230, 000 won depending on where and when you go. The minimum mongering service in a double-pole barbershop is an HJ. You can get BJs and FS depending on the place and the price.

2. Anma in Hangeul: &50504; &47560; . If you can't read the hangul here, it's the purple text in the middle of the attached picture. (Here's a tip on other phrases to look for: Often places that offer anma-style service for lower prices, about 80, 000-120, 000 won, have barbershop poles that say &45224; &51088; &55092; &44172; &49892; or &45224; &51088; &55092; &44172; &49548;,"men's lounge", or &49828; &54252; &51592; &47560; &49324; &51648;"sports massage".)

I have read many of the reviews and seem to understand basic protocol for Seoul. However, I am still confused by locations. I am headed to Seoul for the first time and staying close to the Korea World Trade Center. (Subway Line 2. Exit 6) What are the best places for an american to go in that area?

A question about Streetwalkers in Itaewon.

A couple of nights ago a buddy and I were out in Itaewon untill 3 AM or so. We noticed there were about four girls working on the street around the Hamilton Hotel, between the Hamilton and KFC; one was by herself and the other three were together. He walked up to one that was by herself and she quoted him 100k to go back to his house. She did mention that she had a motel room across the street-in the African Alley, I think. I was suspicious if this girl was a TS but he said she wasn't. Anyway, the next day we were talking about it and he said she was ok, kind of mechanical-and he said she was from China.

Has anyone else seen these girls and know anything about them? My TS / TV radar was going off more on the other girls working closer to the Hamilton than this one, who was near KFC.

Hey guys, I've been lurking on this board for quite a while and decided to help people out. Below are links to daum maps street view. This is in Korean, but it's pretty easy to navigate around and I always find it's much easier to make my way to new places after seeing how to get there online. On any of these you can click the X in the window to zoom out to see where it is in the city.

Let's start.

Mirai. Gireum Station Red Light District. Immediately outside of exit 10 you will see rainbow flap type things. Walk through and you're in the RLD.

Anma Street at Seoulleong Station. Take exit 10. Make your first left and then your first right. (you can also go left) This street has at least 5 anmas on it. I've tried this one and had an enjoyable experience.

Comodo Anma near Seoul National University of Education. I really enjoy this place, it's very upscale and comforting. Directions are a bit difficult, as it's not right near the station. Exit 14 from Seoul National University of Education, walk for a while until you hit a big 4-way intersection. Go right, there is a Red Glasses store you will pass, followed by a Mr. Pizza on the 2nd floor of a building. Take your first left down a small street, then your first right. Walk for a while and you'll be there.

Cool. Exit 2 from Gangnam station, walk a long time until you hit the Prudential tower, go left. Look for Cool.

Belle. Exit 2 from Gangnam station, walk a long time until you hit the Prudential tower, cross the road and go left. You will turn right up a small short road to find Belle.

These are all the places I know definitely. I hope users in the future can provide directions with daum maps, as it makes things so much simpler for me.

Went to Soelleung station exit 10. Wanted to go back to Senso Anma. Went in, the lady who was there was still brushing her teeth. Wasn't the previous young lady. She hesitated. She then asked me where I came from. Told her I was a foreigner. Then she said service was ready yet. So I walked and found Good Morning Anma. The lady accepted me. 200k. Didn't ask me for style of girl. Sent me up for shower. Then brought me to girl. Wasn't very pretty. About a 6. Boobs fake but well done with nice nips. She is 29. Boobs about be / see. She found out I was foreign and then went to call her reception. Then came back and started the usual action. Okay service but no rimming. Ok service as I was in a rush.

Was there about 530pm.

Chuseok is a three-day public holiday with the middle day being the holiday (Same goes for Lunar New Year's Holiday). If shops of any kind are closed at all, they'll usually be closed for the middle day only.

The last time I went to anma, I didn't get the local treatment. I don't speak or read any korean, so they were reluctant to give me service. Taken upstairs and had a cute, but slightly curvy sweetie. She spoke excellent english and did the full single girl routine. No special service.

Afterwards, we were chatting and I asked which days she worked. She said that she was off on Sundays so she could go to church with her family. A nice Catholic girl!

After hours of reading your reports and listening to your helpful advice I came up with this plan. Please let me know if this sounds weird. I have a 15 hour layover. I'll be there from 6:00pm to 10:00am on a Monday-Tue.

6:00pm-7:30pm Travel time to central area from airport. (By Metro)

7:30pm-10:30pm Go to Cheogdam station. Outside there are 5 anmas to choose from. All located on one street. I was thinking Hera or Super Anma. Here I can relax, take a shower have a little fun and maybe eat.

10:30pm-100am Go Itawoen station. Go outside and drink at some of the girly bars. Stop and check out Peach Fuzz and ABC. Is peach fuzz a bar style place or just a room salon?

1:00am-2:30am Go to an RLD, Does anyone have any suggestion? Something close by. Is Mirai RLD interesting or would a college HJ place be better?

3:00am- 6:00am Want to go to an upscale Anma for foreigners so I can relax, get a massage, shower up and unwind.

6:30am- Go back to the airport

So 588 is a good RDL with a lot of young hotties! It's kinda hard to describe Peach Fuzz etc. I think it's like a little bar for like a couple of people? With just one kb girl that does it all?
