    The Game

What did Forest Gump say: "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you going to get". This applies to all relationships (pros / semi-pros / non-pros).

My ex is a candidate to be Valedictorian at her local University, has won many awards for her academic excellence, will be working for a world class corporation when she graduates, is from MONEY, and STRANGELY enough had been asked to be an Abercrombie & Fitch model at one point in her life. Sounds like a dream come true on paper, right? Wrong, because she's a complete psycho with issues from here to the moon. My point? You never know what you're going to get.

Supersteve is keeping it real, and just giving us a heads up. It doesn't mean that his experiences have anything to do with anybody else's experiences. There are no guarantees with any girl / woman / LADY. Hugo, if you're down for your chica, then you're down, and if she's down, then she's down. The moral of the story is "Ten CUIDADO", nothing more. Supersteve has a lot of good karma emanating from his being by doing the right thing with his ex-chica's kids. We'll have to wait and see what he says regarding your questions. But I personally never saw any warning signs with my ex; It just kinda evolves little by little.

Your girl might have a "HEART OF GOLD" or be a "MANEATER". All you can do is give it a shot. If someone wants to hide something, no matter how much you want to find that out, its virtually impossible. Having "Faith" in your decisions for today and tomorrow, when using all available information at your hands now, is all you can do. It sounds like you got a good thing going up to the moment, just take it one day at a time. Peace. And have lots of sex.

I think I got stood up. Was there waiting for a while, sending her txt messages to let her know I already arrived, but no phone or text from her, waited for about 45 mins.

Anyway, glad that I have an excuse to move on.

    Viva mexico!

    Thats Some Story

It seems that it is really hard for this old fart to learn his lesson. But they are such great actresses. Each time this happens, I go back and read a report that I posted about myself on the Mexicali forum back in January 2007. It was my attempt to explain in English a newspaper article that appeared about me in the local Mexicali newspaper. I am providing the link here for others that might be falling for one of these sweet young things. It is about me and a sex worker that I met in one of the fine establishments in Mexicali when I was living there. I offer this up as a good piece of advice. When I read it, it is like a married man watching Fatal Attraction.

Thanks for sharing your story I find it quite enlightning. I had myself convinced that yes, these chicas are quite the actresses, but my thinking was they approach you in the bar they act like they love you, however if you don't buy them a drink or take them arriba the act is over. In my case I have been proceeding with caution. I figured its been close to a year now that I have been wrapped up with the same chica, she provides good companionship more sex than I need, and she never asks for a penny. So after a great 3 days I spent with her I was finally ready to let my guard down and then I read this, thanks so much for the warning.

Does anyone know where the hell is centro?
Mexican Independence Day is the 16th. The parties start tonight. A lot of "el centro" which means downtown (literally "the center") will be blocked for big parities, bands, carnival games, etc. You'll need to get more info from her like a landmark / building / store / intersection than just "el centro" since it is a sea of people and things. At midnight there's fireworks (Adelita will have firecrackers inside the bar and it scares the hell out of me. Too much time hearing gunshots in Nuevo Laredo) and El Grito (the shout) which was the start of the revolution. The roads will fill with cars and people carrying Mexican flags and partying. Viva México.

Tomorrow there's a parade downtown and later Nortec Collective is playing. With the holiday on the weekend a lot of people should be out. This also will mean many may go to the US for the day so expect longer lines at the border (especially since only half of the car lanes are open due to the collapse yesterday).

Going South, however, different story. Four Ice agents. 3 male one female had group of about 20 people lined up just in front of turnstyle to Mexico! Asking stupid questions, do you have over $10, 000, why are you going to Mexico, etc, searching bags. After about 15 minutes, I had enough of this bs! I watched the turnstyle, I watched the agents eyes in the line carefully. They seemed very interested in the luggage of young, long haired American guy. Their eyes were on him and his bags. I was maybe 12 feet from the turnstyle. The did not yet have my I'd or would not have done this. As quietly as possible I slipped out of line. They yelled when they heard the squeek of the turnstyle! I moved faster did not look back, of course! The young Mexicana in Mexico the aduana agent, was smiling, laughing, dice bravo a mi! Maybe a little daring, a tiny bit foolish but felt like a man, not like a sheep, a dupe of what was once the greatest, most free nation in the world! True, Mexico has its problems for sure but strangely feel freer here. No, will not cross there, especially around same time for a awhile. If they have a photo of me, it is of my backside! LOL!
CBP is always down there looking for 'perps' at that spot. I've been pretty lucky as I apparently do not fit the profile of a money or gun smuggler. Later at night, they don't do a lineup for people leaving the country, but just look for people who fit the profile. Whatever profile that is. As I approach the group of CBP agents and wonder if it will be the night that they decide to hassle me and wonder if I should just make a run for it. Even though I've nothing to hide, it is offensive to have my government impede my lawful travel.

It does suck. And I hate that "none of your fucking business" is not an acceptable answer to the question of "why are you going / coming from Mexico?"

They also will inspect cars in the traffic lanes leaving the US on the 5 from time to time (remember ever car's driver and plate are photographed). There are sensors in the lanes and if a car weighs "too much" they'll get flagged to get a closer inspection (the Mexicans also will flag "too heavy" cars for the same reason when you get to their side). CBP have a mini x-ray van that will be parked there often near the exit of the old pedestrian bridge. Or they'll check the I'd and the "are you carrying more than $10K?" question (my answer to that whenever asked entering the US at any port of entry is a laugh).

This stuff happens at all of the US / Mexico borders. The guys in Laredo TX across from Nuevo Laredo MX are real pricks and make the people at San Ysidro seem like courteous professionals.

    We might say "downtown"

The zona centro is, more or less, the area around Revolucion.

What a load of shit, seriously Mexico doesn't even search you entering but now we are searching people leaving? I only wish I lived in the area and did a night trip like some of the guys, I would cross at the beach and let them fumble around trying to figure out what to do. Unfortunately we already may be a country so controlled, that the extreme freedoms of Mexico are starting to be worth the change. I would have done the same thing as you, otherwise just walked to the front and started complaining which worked for me in the airport once when I was for some reason taken to a holding area. It's kind of funny that they check bags going to Mexico and they have yet to ever check my luggage coming back. If only I had enough balls to fill the bag with drugs and put a video on youtube of me crossing, I would be an overnight celebrity or in jail. Ha ha.

C'mon dog. It can't be that far / hard to find out. El centro = downtown Tijuana. Just ask her for the address.

"Como es la direccion en el centro (mi amor)?"-What is the address (my love)?

"Como llegar alla?"-How do I get there?

"Como llegar al centro?"-How do I get downtown?

    Peace

Hey guys, planning on making a trip soon, is there any site that has common spanish phrases I should know when negotiating with girls because my spanish is really bad. You know, like a quick guide on how to ask for stuff when you're negotiating.

    Thanks for any help.
