Planning to go to Tijuana in a month and stay in mexico for a week. Previously I stayed in san diego and crossed the border everyday which appears to be little bit of hassle. When we are getting good hotel at probably 40 dollars a night in safe area, why not just stay in Tijuana for a week instead of daily up and down? Any thoughts

Went down to Tijuana last Sunday around 2pm. Walked around for awhile and I thought that it was going to be a disappointing day. You're' both right. And you're both wrong. The people that work in at the border crossings are CBP (Customs and Border Protection). It has been this way since DHS was formed nearly a decade ago. They do both immigration (checking your passport and assessing if you have the right to enter the country) and customs (99% of the time it is asking: are you bringing anything back from Mexico?) They will run the x-ray machine occasionally but for the most part they're looking at how you answer the "are you bringing anything back from Mexico?" question. With one x-ray machine and up to 20 lanes of crossers, during peak times it could cause significant delays when most of the Mexican crossers are carrying nothing more than their lunch and most tourists are carrying dirty laundry. If they think you're a smuggler you go to secondary).

The other agency people get confused about on this forum is ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). ICE are the ones that bust businesses for hiring undocumented workers. Or bust companies for importing bootleg videos. Although there are ICE guys at the port of entry, your average border crosser will not deal with them. The ICE guys tend to wear street clothes unless they're conducting a raid and then it is a vest or windbreaker with POLICE FEDERAL AGENT written on it. It is never a good time when these guys show up.

It's green. All glass front. I don't really know the name it's the only massage place I've seen on Revolution. I don't think she said her name was Karina, but I could be wrong.
