I have recently become a paid up member of this site, after lurking for a couple of years. Time for me to give back.

Thanks to some of the good reports on this site, I have had some good experiences. I am frustrated, however, by the lack of directions or maps included in some reports. I am committed to providing maps with any place I report on, and to tracking down some reports of distinction and piecing them together with maps. Thanks already to JohnnyCanuck for helping me find where his DBP place was.

It is surprising how few reports I have been able to find about anything near the City Hall area. Yes, there is the Koreana. I went there once a few years ago on a Saturday, and was given a good (but expensive) legit massage by a bulky 40-something ajumma. Not a fancy bathhouse. Just your standard 3 o4 4 baths and a wet and dry sauna, sleeping room, workout room, etc. But they have good massages there. The massage is a legit 60+ minute massage with back-walking, oil on your back, steam towels, etc. Then at the end you have a nice hand relief. Depending on the girl, she may ask if you want "seobiseu" (service) or "mamuri" at the end, or she might just get into it. It doesn't cost any extra and it feels good, so what the heck.

Downsides: they don't speak any English, there is no mutual touching that I have experienced, the girls keep their tops and bottoms on at all times, some girls will sit on the foot end of the bed and hook your legs over theirs and then work your Johnson, they also put the face pack on you just before they begin that part (I like to have an unobstructed view so I ask for no face pack).

The girls are mostly in their early to mid 30s. Quite friendly and professional, but maintain their distance. The massage has recently gone up from 80, 000 won to 90, 000 won. The bathhouse itself costs around 5 or 6, 000 won to get in. All up, you will need about 2 hours (bath, massage, wash off, get dressed, etc).

There is also this barber shop (here: http://dmaps.kr/7hqh). It is in the B2, so pass the hof / cafe on B1 and keep going down. Haircuts can be had there, but they are fairly basic short back and sides. Receiving a haircut while stripped down to your wifebeater and underpants might feel a bit strange to some. It did to me. Then comes the massage. It is a legit massage followed by HE. Oil on the back, but also down your ass-crack and then some oily fondling of your pecker while you lie on your stomach. Some guys might pop at that point but I never have. Back walking, steam towels is an option, foot washing, the works. During the end part, your mileage will vary. I don't know if this will be much good except to someone who stays at the Ramada Hotel (unless someone else recognizes and can identify where I was).

Anyway, I was in Seoul for a couple of days suffering from the effects of travellers sickness in Qingdao. I was staying at Ramada Hotel (112-5 Samsung-dong, Kangnam-ku). During a stroll back to the hotel after dinner at the seafood buffet at the COEX (highly recommended) I spotted the telltale barber poles. 3 of them in fact. There were 2 separate locations. I went downstairs through the closest door and when I got to the bottom mamasan stared waving her hands and shaking her head. I definitely got the message that whites weren't allowed.
