It will be on Ave. Revo and Calle 7. For more info google Tijuana Tequila. Booths with Tequila, raffles, etc. The preview of the Queen contestants will be on Saturday at 8 PM. From the look of the video from last year they have some very hot women.

Shows start at 2 PM, and I think it actually opens at about 10 AM.

Headed down to Tijuana immediately after work on Friday and stormed my way from parking lot behind JIB to the zona. Same deal.

My friends and I finally made a weekend trip again to Tijuana. Overall good times as always. I won't recap my entire trip but post some details that may help others.

First night we went to Peanuts and Beer outside the zona on Rev. Avenue. I know what many have said about this place with respect to being a shadow of its former glory and the rip off tactics some of the staff have done to others etc. However, I like this place and always try to get there at least once a year. First off, there were about 15 or so girls working including some pretty decent girls and 2-3 hotties. They still have the 2 songs for $20 and you can get sex etc either in the larger curtained areas or downstairs for $40-85 total, either way don't expect a nice clean bed etc. There appears to be a lot of bargaining power especially after you already had a girl or two. They also will throw in lap dances beforehand and really weren't watching the time especially if you throw a few bucks to the woman pimp waitress. I really think YMMV also is very high here. They did scam me once when the woman pimp waitress said 2 lap dances, BJ, and sex for $40 for the girl on stage. Then it became $20 for the room and $5 for the condom after I paid the $40. I came in her mouth so I wasn't too mad afterwards. The other 2 girls I had were straight forward and no scams. I was going to make a Tijuana trip next week, and with all this talk about the good exghange rate I was thinking about if I should get pesos before I cross (never done it before) but it sounds like a good idea. I was just wondering how it would work at the Ticuan. I know they require a credit card as far as booking and getting the internet discount. I did notice on my last credit card statement it does say something about the exchange rate. So do they already take into account the value of the dollar. Or is it better for me to book it on the card but then when it comes time to pay, pay in pesos and have it taken off the card.

Always ask to be billed in foreign currency when you use your charge card overseas. I don't know the technicalities of it but it winds up being more favorable to you. What you may not realize is that a lot of people will charge you an extra percentage to use your card. Why? They want to defray the vendor charges onto you. Usually that is around +10%. Basically if you want to use your card to pay you pay ALL costs. Welcome to the 3rd world.

On top of that you will have I think a 3% international adjustment fee added to your card when using your card overseas. If you get points back that you can cash in for money later on you may not care. My math skills are not up to par to figure out the cost benefit ratio for you.

Cash is king. If you like a place make a deal via email and pay in cash. Hide it where the sun don't shine until you get there. No fees no hidden charges and no worries.

Pesos will serve you well for SGs and most other local purchases...well recommended.

* Don't forget to go to the bank and get 5's 10's and 1's. Load up...you WILL NOT be sorry that you did.

Hey dudes. I'm on my last day of a three day trip. I'm staying at Hotel Ticuan. A great hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. If your Spanish is lacking you won't have a problem here as the staff all speak English. NFL and MLB playoffs in the bar on big flat screens. The hotel is very clean and modern and it will be my first choice on return trips. First night I met Anabel. One of Tania's girls. She is very, very sweet and very accomodating. Despite the language barrier we were able to communicate. We had some dinner from the hotel restaurant and watched a little tv before she departed. If you like seafood, I recommend the seafood soup. A very large bowl filled with shrimp, mussels and many other tasty tidbits. The fettucine alfredo is good too. I arrived late Saturday afternoon after being awake for over 24 hrs due to work and travel. Anabel came over and helped put me to sleep. Sunday morning I was up early.
