1. I want to look like a young Paul Newman (blue eyes ).
2. Be able to dance like Fred Astaire.
3. Have the money of Bill Gates.
4. Speak Spanish like Ricky Ricardo (thanks Ricker for that one)
5. Be as funny as Collin Quinn.
There I think that should entitle me to get some fine Latina Non Pro Pussy.

Posts: 1281El Chavo is also popular here in Colombia.
Don't try to pick up Spanish from Roberto Carlos, he's Brazilian and sings with a pretty thick accent.

I don't know if you are joking or not, but really this is the truth, watch a popular television show and you will, if you study, pick up colloquial Spanish. Like in Mexico, they are constantly quoting El Chavo del Ocho. It may not be proper Mexican or Colombian Spanish, but the goal should be to speak street Spanish, rather than proper Spanish. So TV, like Suso el Paspi, or el Chavo del Ocho, is really a good source.

A good way to learn Spanish, once you reach a certain level, is listening to music. For Mexican standards, you can listen to Vincente Fernandez, Lucha Villa or Jose Jose among many others. Also, Roberto Carlos. The top album for Mexican classics, for learning, and a great album by any measure, is Canta en Espaņol, by Eydie Gormet.

Posts: 250Already planning my next visit
Hello, all,
Just returned from a fantastic trip to Medellin. Now if I could just kick this post nasal drip I acquired on the plane home!
I have to say that learning Spanish really pays off. I have these CDs in my car that have been repeating over and over for months. Sitting in traffic has never been more productive. Being able to spend a full day with a chica and even a second date changes the game completely! My Spanish is not great but I can get by. At times, the gringo tax was in full effect, especially during my short stay at CB. But otherwise, with just a little patience and putting forth a good effort, I was shown an unaccountable amount of compassion and generosity. In general, the people are so freaking friendly it makes me sad when I realize how desperate and impatient we gringos act in spite of all the luxuries and conveniences we so blindly take for granted. I think to make a better impression while visiting their country, we just need to slow down a little. I recommend games. Cards, dice, checkers. Whatever you can think of. I found a backgammon board in my apartment! Hours of entertainment, fabulous prizes and limited demand for Spanish vocabulary! Question. Whats the best way to get to and from the major cities. Specifically to CTG from MDE? I know in Peru, plane tickets are a lot less expensive if a local resident buys them. Is this the case in Colombia as well? Post in the forum or PM me. Thanks. Positive energy to all.

Put it this way you wouldn't even see a gringo in LLeras. Lucky to see one or two. There was a real novelty factor with the girls. That has seriously worn off now. In fact it has almost done a full circle where some of the girls will tell you it can even be seen as being a negative thing being with a gringo in some circles.
Venezuela is the opposite. Hardly a gringo around now. Easy work. Still not easy as Peru but hotter women.

I was in Medellin for 2 weeks in September. I stayed in Poblado for the first few days and then moved over to Laureles. I keep hearing how Medellin is over run with gringos. Occasionaly I would see gringos in Poblado but once I moved over to Laureles, I never saw another single gringo for one whole week! I rode the metro everywhere, went to El Centro and quite a few other places. I really don't understand the sentiment that gringos "are everywhere". In a country of 47 million people, the number of gringos visiting is a tiny droplet.

Venezuela-non pro action is amazing-no gringos these days. Some say danderous I never have a problem, just take care. Hot women.
Peru-easiest place in the world to score non pros along with ecuador.
Colombia-Medellin-not what it used to be. Hot non pros becoming difficult. Gringos everywhere. Hot prepagos. Not much to do there until weekends. Cartegena has a beach, old city is beautiful, hot prepagos.
Rest of Colombia does nothing for me. Cali most overated place in Colombia-hot, boring, dangerous and the women have nothing on paisas. Bogota-rain, cold, traffic jams. Baranquia-boring and hot.
Cartegena and Medellin ate the two obvious choices. Then again I'm not the type of person that travels to another country just to spend my days in shopping centres looking at girls.
Chilie-don't know it very well-not interested all that much
