No, I believe it's Mfangano but not 100% sure. As you exit the Central park hotel, take a left and then a left again where the street dead ends. As soon as you turn the corner it will be on your left hand side. Don't remember the name, but you can't miss it.

Babygal is the second I have met from Afrogems but first that I had a good time with (the other one was in Ghana). She is a Kikuyu and quite nice. Decided to try out a few of the strip joints last week and Applebees was an experience to say the least. Went there on impulse around 2am last Thursday. Firstly the taxi struggled to find it and stopped to ask some dodgy people hanging around. He got out to speak to them, and one started circling the car staring at me which was freaking me out. Then another climbed in the back seat and the driver got back in to say the one in the back would show us the way. Well we were just around the corner but the guy with the directions insisted on coming along. Taxi pulled up about 20 feet passed the entrance and in the dark I couldn't find the right money so had to offer a 1000. He jumped out of the car to get me change and then the guy in the back started to ask for money for the directions. I probably should have given him some but felt stuborn so he got abit abusive. Finally the driver came back with my change and before I got out he warned me to go staight in and not to stop outside because the area was dangerous. I was in half a mind to just leave as I was abit scared but the adrenalin was pumping too so I jumped out and headed for the entrance.

I climbed the stairs and stopped at the top. There was a locked gate to my right and no sign of anyone else and again I was freaking. I heard a voice and finally saw a little grate in the wall to pay through. It was 300 or 400 and I handed over 500. Just then two guys had followed me up the stairs and were crowding behind me and touching my arm. A security guard appeared behind the gate and I asked him to let me in but he shook his head and smiled at me. I imagined being mugged right in front of his grinning face but thankfully my change and a ticket appeared from the grill and he unlocked the gate and let me in. I was crapping myself and just relieved to be in one piece still.

I went round the dimly lit corner to find a small stage with a couple of half naked girls dancing and a few people lounging about. Got a Tusker from a reluctant barmaid and grabbed a seat. It then transpired that the 1000 I had paid was to enter VIP area and whatever else I wanted was another 1000. Fuck it I was turned on so agreed on a BJ.

She took me to the far bench with the flimsiest curtain (there was a bench to my right with some bloke sat alone watching us) and I had to take off my shoe to give her the money which made her laugh and relaxed me too. I figured it would have to be one hell of a BJ for her to get my shoe off and pinch the rest without me knowing. She lowered my trousers and got right on with it and she was fucking fantastic. I can't deny it was exhilerating and felt dangerous but is not for the fainthearted. If you feel the need to go learn from my mistakes as I feel this could have gone wrong easily. Correct money for everything so no messing around, not too late or too pissed, and preferably not alone.

I also tried Liddos wich was more classy and roomy but had no dance there. And the one in Florida (is it Pengo) which has the best looking girls. Again no dance as I figure that a grinding can be had for free elsewhere. Elsewhere nothing had changed. Madhouse and Simmers gets boring fending off the unwanted I find afer a while. I hung out at Havanna, Gypsys and Black Diamond which was good fun and productive. The weather was abit crap. Indeed there was a river literally one night outside Havannan, and security was strict with the grenades etc.

From reading here I have decided to stay at Terminal a couple of days when I arrive to Nairobi late October. But I looked the place up in my guide book (Rough Guide to Kenya 2010 ed.) and much to my surprise it says "No guests after 7pm". That can't be true or can it? And what about Downtown Hotel next door?

The Terminal hotel is known for being a bare-bones backbacker hotel (notice I didn't say cheap). To repeat what has already been said here by others, go to the Central Park Hotel and be done with it. Hell, even the short time hotel (700shs) right around the corner from the Central park is better than the Terminal. BTW, keep this one in mind for the girls that don't have identification or are suspect for other reasons.
