I posted on this in the general Tijuana forum too, but tonight was my first night back in Hong Kong in a long long time. The girl I was with spoke limited English and my Spanish is equally limited, so a masero helped with the negotiations. But he was trying really hard to convince me to use what I think were private rooms in the Miami Club (he definitely said Miami). He said the cost was '10 drinks' and that it's a better deal than the hotel because I get the whole hour. Can someone tell me if this is a good deal? I was paying $8 / drink so that's $80. Alright so the big fight between pacquiao and marquez was that weekend and I won some money. I wanted to blow it off with some vegas strippers but my friends didn't want to go. The security guard who was killed was a really cool guy. Spoke perfect english and he told me that he used to work for tijuana pd. Young guy. 25yo. Sad. What actually happened, is that the security guard who's name I won't disclose, was Not working front door entrance, but was working the entrance to Miami bar section. And the bad guy was harassing a few of the girls, and was eventually asked to leave the girls alone, when he didn't, he was then thrown out of hk by guard / victim. Bad guy was highly intoxicated, and took it personal and even warned the security guard that he was going to return with a gun and shoot him. This happened around 3am. At 5m the guy came back sure enough through the alley entrance and walked towards the Miami bar and found the guard and shot him just as he promised he would. Guard then walked towards the middle stage and collapsed to the ground and died within minutes. Bad guy was able to make it out the front door but was shortly apprehended by security and a dozen meseros who from what I hear, put a beat down on that piece of shit. That's the real story. R. I. Yea I also knew this guy, a good guy. My 2 cents, for the give or take 15 years that I have been playing in Tijuana, I always had in the back of my mind that these guys at the door should have some type of body vest protection, something.

So I understand it right, the guy tried to get in at 11pm in the front but was turned away, and then returned at 3am to enter through the alley entrance and that's where he shot the security guard.

Bummer story.

Just got up and took my early afternoon stroll over to HK. The doors are sealed shut with signs stating that it is closed by the City of Tijuana and the PGJE (District Attorney). The word on the street is that about 4 AM this morning a Mexican customer shot and killed one of the meseros. I am here until Tuesday evening. I will post something when and if it reopens.

Ex-boxer named EL BAZUKA (The Bazooka) showed up at back alley door at 3AM, doorman wouldn't let him in, guy got mad, claimed he was an undercover investigator for the judicial police, shot the doorman dead with a 9MM. Guess he didn't want to buy a beer at the door. Bar is closed for homicide investigation until owners pay a large "administrative fee" to reopen.

With the rain gone and a sunny Sunday, I headed down to Tijuana in the late afternoon.
