Generally knew that I was in for diminished service when they first reported to me that the one-shot cost would be VND400k. Then it went up to 500k for "extra good service". Then finally ended at 600k "because I was a foreigner". Not to disappoint my colleagues, I sucked it up and went with it. Girl had a nice package, but the service was rushed (she seemed to be competing to finish quickest with her friend who was servicing my colleague) and totally uninspired. Fine. Been there, done that. Got my load off and sent her off. She was a total poser for the camera. Her one saving grace.

As I told you through PM bro, its not my style to kill the market by overpaying. I believe in equilibrium. The current prices are what these girls and the system believes is fair and they are happy with. Those who overpay do not have a clue of what I am talking about.

They relate the prices here, or elsewhere in asia, to wherever they come from, to their purchasing power and to the eagerness of being able to have young and beautiful girls for so little, according to their standard of living.

What they do not realize is that by doing so, they in fact screw up the natural order of things. The girls get more gready and as they hardly can get the same over and over, they become upset, moody, unsatisfied and hence more miserable. Therefore instead of helping them. At the hotel where I am staying, yesterday morning at breakfast I saw these 3 vietnamese girls having breakfast alone at the next table. I talked to the prettiest of the 3 and got her tel number for later.

In the afternoon I sent her an sms to ask her for her rates and the answer was 100 USD ST and 150 LT. In fact they were bar girls from Gossip bar, and had been taken out by 3 guys from India. Needless to say that I answered NO THANK YOU. Translated in Dongs that is 2. 1 million and 3. 2 million. I. E. Between more than 3 to 5 times with one of the lovelies elsewhere.

So you see, these are the types of behaviors that will do harm to the likes of us. Hence the necessity to stick together and act like one.

Those places don't welcome locals so that 'local' could be a viet kieu or a singaporean malaysian. Its hard to tell at times. But I agree with you entirely. Service is unrelated to extra tips. Its crazy that prices in d1 for the uneducated is 4-5 times the market rate.
