Guys can anyone please confirm if it is possible to find blonde Cuban women in the island particularly in the provinces? I was talking to some guys and they said some clueless Russians and Americans had illegitimate kids in Cuba who are now the few blonde chicks now in the island. Cuba used to be (and still is) one of the favorite vacations spots for Russians and being as promiscuous as they are I doubt some of them did not leaved some few Russian female kids over there.

I emailed one of the casas I usually stay in Vedado about current Dollar Exchange a the Cadeca. She Quoted me. 87 CUC per dollar. About 13% of the top even though the published Offical Rate is 1 to 1. I am pretty sure is correct, Does anyone know if bringing Euros is a better idea, or the other currencies also get hit the same? Appreciate your input.

Posts: 734You are missing a number in the land line number. A few years ago, a digit was added to the beginning of the 6 digit phone number to make it a 7 digit phone number. Sorry but I don't remember what that digit was for Holguin.

Hi Folks,
I have heard conflicting reports on the age of consent in Cuba.
Can someone tell me the legal age. I'm hearing either 18, 17 or 16.

Anyone have any success selling cuban cigars? From what I read some people suggest getting them appraised and taking offer at a local Casa Del Habano. Being a shop I suppose the profit margin is far less, anyone in-the-know on the subject? I'm from Canada, PM if you prefer.
Thanks

Posts: 322My experience has been that customs knows very little about OLFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control). Most of the time I have to educate them about USA law. They always ask me for a copy of the "General License". I tell them, the General License is a self certification that travel is legal as opposed to the "Specific License", . They then ask again for a copy of this general license, its absurd!
You are right about this, right or wrong, they, in their ignorance can make your life difficult. But, they cannot do much more than delay your processing because, in the end, unless you are transacting business with Cuba, you are clear.

Posts: 286I agree with you but you have to kiss Customs ass.
It is what it is .you have to play the game by their rules not yours.
Don't be stubborn. I know from experience.
Since you clear US Customs in the Bahamas odds are against you even more.

Posts: 322United States Government has never prosecuted a USA Citizen for mere travel to Cuba. Now if you intend to engage in business / trade with Cuba, . Think twice.

Remember you have 2 entry stamps on your passport with different dates.
One stating the date of arrival into the gateway country and another entry stamp stating the arrival date into the gateway country when you depart from Havana.
Where were you between these 2 dates Sir?
Its not rocket science. Be careful and respectful.
If you are a proffessional or have a goverment job I would NOT risk travel to Cuba.
