    Gents,

I am totally with you regarding how it is convenience to stay over night in Zona Norte. Yes, the Rizo de Oro hotel is a good deal. The hotel has just completed upgrade their room, at least very comfy to sleep. I had the Jacuzzi in the room and cost me only $35 USD per night. I Don't think you can have that good deal anywhere in T. J. I used to stay in different hotel in Zona Norte and it was not nearly close to average motel elsewhere and still cost $25 USD per night. I absolutely can bring the Chica Tropical to my room for no extra room cost and play with her in Jacuzzi for hours. That why I like this hotel. I heard the hacienda del Santiago also good. May be cost more and need to walk couple blocks from HK.

With very decent room quietly to sleep, new room with new bathroom. Another bonus is I don't have to pay room cost when taking a Chica from Tropical bar to my room.

So, that is a saving 10usd. To me. This works out great, I can stay out late at the HK, Adelitas, and only walk a few steps to my room.

In the end, the monger should spend the night in the Zona Norte hotel, a right mind like Albert Enstein also agree too.

    Regardung Kitchenette

Ok I take that back about never using the kitchen. Yes the refrigerator would come in very handy. Since I never went in the kitchen I never even knew there was a refrigerator. But I could never see myself cooking with the worlds greatest tacos right down the street.

The refridgerator is great for keeping your beers and sodas nice and cold. And on those cold winter nights that sometimes happen in Tijuana, if you light all 4 burners on the stove for 10 or 15 minutes it makes the room nice and warm. This is something that the women really like if they are spending the night with you!

    Tijuana Saturday Night

My GF / BG invited me to attend a wedding Saturday evening. It was a tough decision miss the NFL playoff games or immerse myself in what has become my favorite pastime, exploring Tijuana and its culture. Well it turns out I missed a hell of a game.

Seeing as how marriage is sacred I won't be reporting on the wedding here, other than to say I was seated at the Prostitutas table, which did make for an interesting evening.

After the wedding we ended up at Las Pulgas the place was packed. It kind of made me think if the economy in Tijuana is so bad where are all these people getting the money to spend on drinking and partying. Anyone who has been there knows the place is huge and it was filled you couldn't even move around. I was only there a short time and the cover charge for me and 2 ladies and one bucket of beer was 30 dollars.

Anyway I guess the main reason for this report is due to the recent Tijuana hotel discussion. Normally if I was going to spend the night I would have booked a room at the Ticuan, since I have become very comfortable there, and like everything about it. But with no reservation the Ticuan was sold out. So we headed down Rev looking for a room. Wow it was 3 in the morning and the street was packed with people coming and going from the bars downtown Tijuana is alive again. We checked Caesar's and a few other places and everything was sold out. We then headed for the Zona. She suggested Hotel Tampon (or something like that) on the back side of the Tropical parking lot. I stayed there once before and if I can make s suggestion STAY AWAY. For one thing it smelled, and there were no towels in the room. I did end up going to the desk for a towel and they couldn't find any, about 10 minutes later they showed up with a ripped half a towel. But thanks to this board and especially Joe Arturo I remembered his favorite place to stay in the zona and headed over to Hacienda Del Santiago.

The guy at the desk had one room left it had 2 double beds so I think that made it more expensive $39 a night but we were tired and happy to find a room. The room was clean plenty of soap and towels the sheets even smelled really clean. I would recommend this place if you want to stay in the zona. It is located far enough from the noise but yet a short walk to the heart of the Zona. It was also equipped with a kitchen (something I would never use) which might come in handy for some.

Sunday morning or should I say afternoon we left around 1 pm and nobody ever bothered us to checkout, headed to the border and waited a little over an hour and completed another interesting trip south of the border.

It is okay to stay in LZN over night

Why anybody in their right mind would want to spend the night in LZN is beyond me. But, to each his own.

So, your homework assignment is to pick one, try it and report back here.

    Staying in Zona Norte

I have stayed in the Zona Norte numerous times and never had a problem. It is so convenient to bring a chick to your room and to just go to your room when you are finished playing, crash and start over when you wake up. One does not need to watch the clock as it is a 24/7 enterprise.

I plan to be in Tijuana in a couple of weeks have not been there in at least a year. Can anyone give me a heads up as to where the nicest and least expensive place to stay in Zona Norte is? I have stayed in Tijuana many times but it has been a while since being there.

La estrella bar was a normal bar for locals, not really nasty. Right now it is a bar for local youth, like all the Calle Sexta, Street of Tijuana youth diversion now.

    La Estrella

Could your memory be playing tricks on you? I haven't been in La Estrella for years now but as far as I know it was never a nasty bar and not known for fights either.

On my first and only recent trip to la Zona, I ran into a Mexican-American street hustler out in front of Chevalas. Can't remember his name, but you know the type. Spoke English well, grew up in LA, but returned to Tijuana to try to make some money 'cause times are tough back in the States. I've met several such 'Retornos' in Mexico in the past couple of years. Anyway, I'm enjoying chatting with this guy, buy him a beer, just getting some intel on the scene in Tijuana. I ask where the flat out cheapest, dirtiest, nastiest bar 'con damas' is in Tijuana. Without hesitation, this guy and a couple of other chulos listening in all say, 'Estrellas'. Well hell, I've mongered in some pretty scary places all over the world, you know, the type where 'Bush meat' has a whole other meaning. So straight away I want to go, and I want him to be my 'guia'. He rolled his eyes, had second thoughts about dragging a Gringo into this kinda' place, and finally said 'no way'. But it sounded like my kind of place, you know, the kind where you might want the Delta Force Team as your wingman and you sure try to sit with your back to the wall. I finally decided to stick to the Zona as my time was limited, and both the street putas and the lovely lasses in HK, Adeltas, Tropical, etc, etc, just seemed endless. The old 'bird in the hand' thing. But after reading your story, I'm more inclined that ever the next time I get to town to grab a taxista and say, 'Vamanos a Estrellas, caballero, why ahorita! '

    New Years Eve report

Was there on new years eve and I have to say I regret the way I spent my money with the girls. First off the escort way you don't know how the girl is going to turn out her attitude her looks then the worst if the be tch doesn't show up. So something to be learned next time I go to Tijuana the best girls are at hk by far and if I am going with the escorts I am going with the young hotties at hot Tijuana.

Dead wrong! The Azteca lady looked bad right off the get go. And I think her gut grew a few inches during the night because when she hopped on for a ride the next morning, her gut was the first thing to hit me, and it about knocked the air out of me!

BTW, most girls look fat when compared to the HK chicas.
