True. I have not heard of such high amount being asked before. Think it is usually something like 200 HKD. The door is blatantly obvious about the discrimination. Number of times I have walked passed guys in the doorway being charged for entry and I am waived right through in front of them.

To add: If you are speaking Enlish with an obvious American or English accent, you will probably not be asked for cover regardless of color and race.

I think the atmosphere and quality of the bars varies a lot. Over the years, my favorite Wanchai bar has consistently been Neptune's 2. A good mix of girls show up there. The sexiest appear to me to be Thai and Viets although there are plenty of Filipinas and Indonesian girls too. I like the lighting in this bar. You can see everything clearly. Some bars are a lot darker which I do not like. The music is not bad and not too loud permitting some conversation. Bottom line, I always seem to find what I am looking for here. That said, there is stiff competition in Wanchai. Other bars of note are Escape, Laguna, Neptune's 3, New Makati, Boracay, the bar above Joe Bananas, traffik I think, Typhoon, and more. I tend to get some of these bars mixed up, but never Escape (the former Fenwicks), and the Neptune bars.

Also as many have written, DH Sunday afternoon is another matter all together. Last time I was there on a Sunday I just followed some girls up a flight of stairs to, I think it was Traffik or maybe Forrest. I won't be sure on that until I get back to HKG to definitively make note. It was a pretty nice bar in any case.

BTW, I am going to be back in Wanchai in 6 short days to kick off my 2012 South East Asia winter trip. I am flying Continental 20 hours from West Palm Beach Airport, change planes in Newark and then on to HKG. I am going to arrive this Saturday at 8:30pm. My plan is to walk into Neptune's 2 a little after 10pm and have a sexy girl in my bed by 11:30. I am only going to spend 2 nights in Hong Kong on this leg of my trip before heading off to Macau, PI and Los, but I will return at the end of my trip in late March and spend my last 5 nights here. I have not packed my suitcase yet, but I can't wait.

I don't rate Hari's or Sticky Fingers but it is right beside the SW's in Mody Road.

Basically the Wan Chai bars are all the same. Try Neptune 11, Neptune 111, Escape, Borocay, New Makati.

Insider (the old Laguna) , Traffic and Forrest are there as well but IMHO not so good, but you never know. Amazonia might pay off as well. Joe Bananas has a few Thais.

Avoid the GoGo bars (the curtained doors on the main Lockhart Road) like the plague.

Most of seniors here reported that the Cover Charges are not imposed, but I was asked for 500 HKD as cover charge and for that they were not giving me HKD 500 worth credit, just one drink, this is so fucking costly. Is it be'because I am an Indian (Brown Skin) or is it because this is a norm on Sunday evenings? Any inputs would be welcome.

It is solely because you're Indian. Same is also often imposed on locals (non-western locals) and youngsters. WanChai bars business model is about catering to white guys and many of the bars impose cover charges for others. From my experience of frequenting Wan Chai bars, you are unlilely to meet Chinese WG's there. Some have actually told me they are banned in some of the bars. If this is a must for you, then I suggest you look at hotel reservation girls but get them to come to your hotel. I have reported on this in the past and it has never failed me because I make it clear to the pimp that usually answers the phone and with whom you make the arrangments, that if there is a switch I reserve the right to reject them. Unless of course she is "acceptable". Down side was they don't speak English. I have met some stunners however.

Absolutely no problem with the girls you bring back to Kowloon from Wanchai. A return taxi fare will resolve any potential problem in that area.

There are also some SW's in Mody Road that might be of interest to you and if you fancy some scrubbers then there is the Temple Street market, but you will need to speak some Chinese.

You could also try the hotel massage services that advertise on the internet, which I did on my last visit. A lovely Chinese girl started off by giving a massage that turned out to be a bit more and on her second visit the next day there was no mention of massage!

Hari's bar 2nd floor Holiday Inn on Nathan used to be great for very attractive Korean, Mongolian, and Thai girls, but it looked very sad my last two visits in 2011. Since you are staying in Mongkok, stop by Hari's for a beer around 10:30 and see if the top quality has returned. If not, get back in a taxi and head for Wanchai.

I do not recommend ruling out 141 Hotel Reservation girls if you are looking for pretty Chinese, Korean, or Japanese girls. The 141 site is a great source for this type of talent. Search the TST section of the website and filter for service 700hk to 900hk for quality PRC girls and above 1000hk for local, Korean and Japanese girls. I think you will find better quality, price and service than escort agencies. The girls stay in fairly decent 4* hotels.

If you do decide to check out Wanchai, you will find some hot Viets, Thai, Filipina, and Indo girls. The few times I have stayed in East TST, I took girls out of Neptune's 2, no problem. We made out in the taxi all the way back to my hotel. Lastly, there are some very good looking Chinese FL's hanging around the open spaces on Mody St in between the Intercontinental and Regal Hotel.

What else? You can try Noble Sauna in Peninsula Center & Kobe Sauna in the Regal Hotel off Mody. These two places are more upscale than Dundas 37 and other typical red light HKG massage joints, which is why I am suggesting them since you said you did not prefer massage parlors.

My last piece of advice to you is, unless your preferences are set in stone, go with the flow and check out the places everybody pretty much agrees are real good. When in Rome, do as the you know who do. There are great private clubs stocked with amazing Chinese girls, but unless you speak the lingo or have a friend to take you there, they are pretty much off limits to you. Hong Kong is a great town. There are lots of varied opportunities here. The message I am trying to convey is don't miss out on Wanchai bars or 141 reservation girls because of some preconceived ideas. If you can be flexible with your preferences, you will have a great time without lowering your standards.

I'm visting HK next month for 4 nights and I've been diligently doing my research here, but still have a few specific questions. I've been to HK several times but always just for a night on the way to or from mainland China, and always with SO, so I haven't "played". Enough has been written about this Pilgrimage of Sex in HK, Temple street is where you need to visit when you are looking for quick fun at a low cost. Hi.

Continuing with my last week indonesian catch. I had nice session in the morning. No holes barred. She is really a fucking machine.
