    Hilton on Orchard

I've stayed at the Hilton on Orchard a number of times but never had a problem either meeting the girl downstairs or having them come up. The only issue is the elevators are key-coded.

    Singapore Hotels. Cheap Or GirlFriendly

    A general experience:

You can find a very cheap hostel. In the range of 20-30$ SG a night, but do expect a dorm with 4+ people and potentially all the filth and smell of Asia inside.

I stayed in the Little Red dot hostel. Which was OK, Free internet. 3 computers for public use (free) and walking distance to the Lavender MRT station.

Naturally, I never thought bringing a girl into a hostel.)

Other hostels in the vicinity _ See their business cards attached.

For some action I had to move to Geylang hotels where you pay something in the range of 70 $ SG for a room.

I stayed in the Fragrance hotel. Crystal on Lor 18.

Room was OK, paid between 70 and 56 $, the funny thing was that reservation made via Booking. Com was CHEAPER than the price at the counter.

The receptionists were always diligent and wrote down the I'd details of the girls who came in, which I must say has a positive effect on the girls behavior.

Lor 18 is right in the middle of the action, so you don't need more. There were rows of girls in the lane, waiting for customers, and you can bargain with the pimp.

Rates for white foreigners vary in the range of 50. 70 $.

Behind you are the official public houses with the big numbers. There prices start from 100$ and the girls are sitting behind a glass.

They carry numbers on their bikinis, so you just need to call the number

Taxi from Orchard towers was about 15 $

Yes, there were crowds of Chinese tourists, filling up the lobby, but sometimes they were so many of them,

That nobody actually payed attention to the Walk of Shame, (which is can be pretty short, because the lobby is just about 5 meters deep from the Street door to the elevator)

Overall Fragrance Crystal hotel was a good value for the money.

    Enjoy Singapore!

    Finding a hotel

Value Hotel Thomson has some very attractive prices but it seems a bit distant from where most other hotels are located.

Can anyone comment on the location please.

    592 Balestier Road #01-01 S, Novena / Balestier, Singapore.

Can I ask for a recommendation on a hotel for max $100 a night on this list:

    http://www.agoda.com/pages/agoda/def...rchResult.aspx

You probably get I'm a complete beginner to SNG.

Is anyone around from Monday next week?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Just got back from SG, and while I stayed in a service Apt, I found some inexpensive hotels. Try the Hotel 81 Classic which is on joo chiat Road. Its at the end of the geylang area. If you book it online (use their web site) you can get their best room for $79SGD / night and that includes free internet (website doesn't clearly state that, but it does). I booked a room for GF since she was staying one extra night after I left and we did get this deal. The hotel is clean, etc. And, its right near the Paya lebar MRT stop. So you can ride to Orchard in about 15-20 mins for about $1. 75 SGD. And, its about 2-3 km from the action area in geylang (say lorongs 6-16 in geylang). I suggest that one rather than the hotel 81 near those lorongs because this seems less like a "short stay" hotel and has lots of food within 2-3 minutes of the place. Taxi from airport will be about $15 SGD, taxi to Orchard will be about the same.

Just a suggestion. GF liked the place and internet worked well. I was in the room, its small but clean, bed comfy, etc. So if you are on a budget, check it out. And, keep in mind there are many hotel 81's in SG. This it the Hotel 81 CLASSIC.

    Enjoy SG.

I would usually stay in the Orchard Road area and can get a hotel around 250-300 sing dollars for a four star, try sites like "ratesto go. Com" "wotif. Com. Au" "lastminute. Com" and you might find something cheaper.

Lookig at the hotels mentioned in your recent posts. On bookings. Com they all range from €100-€300.

Can you recommend something in the 50-100 category?

(I'm basically looking for a good "beginners's hotel with good room internet access and maybe a pool)

The best value for money hotel on Tripadvisor is.

I can't find it on the big hotel sites and people don't seem to mention it in here?

    Walk of Shame

    Whew.

Just RTFF. We all agree that all the hotels in Sinapore are GF and like someone rightly commented "Those aren't are going out of business". (Sy I don't remember your name).

Guess we can start a discussion here regarding the shortest Walk of Shame.

I've been to Singapore thrice and stayed@Grand Chancellor (Little India)

Reception approx 100 feet at roughly 80 Degrees on the left. (Elevators are only 20. 25 feet on the right from the entrance)

The only problem is that the hotel has gradually become a hub for Indian tourists and lot of them keep swarming (after check out / before check) in all around. Most flights to India are late night / early morning.

As such not a great place for Indians but shouldn't be a problem for other nationalities.

The hotel rooms are small but well kept. With clean Bathrooms. And the staff is a bit harsh on the guests.

Just my experience over my last 3 stays. (But never had any problem getting any girls in. As in no documentation required@the reception) Got a girl or 2 from OT atleast 6 times. Only problem was when I ordered room service for a Russian (Had to go down to collect my package) LOL.

Just a small piece of information for those interested.

    Cheers

MBS is a beautiful hotel. I stayed there last year. If the "walk of shame" intimidates you, then you could be in for a doozy, depending on which of the three towers your room is in. Tower 1 is not that far from the main entrance, but the elevators to Tower 3 are probably at least a hundred meters across the expansive lobby. One thing that might take the edge off is that there are so many people in the place you may well be unnoticed for the most part. In any case, don't miss the view from the rooftop with its vanishing edge swimming pool. The hotel also has an awesome gym to help you stay in shape for your nights out.

Of course, there's huge casino across the street from the hotel (accessible by underground passageway). While casinos in many places usually have some working girls about, I've never heard of that kind of action in Singapore. Casinos aren't my thing, so I didn't even go in for a look.

    Happy Hunting,
    E.M.

In general Ibis hotels, worldwide, are quite family and tourist oriented, so less used to walk of shames. But, as you proved, still GF enough.

What counts is the staff to make it GF, not much the guests, but still if too many guests get unconfortable they might moan and sooner or later the hotel management has to make a choice: stay GF and maybe see less tourists / families or favour the families / tourists and see the mongerers going elsewhere.

Riverview Hotel and ibis bencoolen Singapore

    Quick report on the RV,

The rooms are little old and run down, but the price really nice. The hotel is super GF friendly, but some times there are large groups of Chinese tourists hanging in the lobby when you are doing the walk of shame.

The internet is very expensive, I ended up getting a Singtel sim I think for around 20 recharge with an extra 7 for unlimited date for 5 days or so. This worked really well. The location was fine and really close to a shoping centre that had a few places to eat and decent shopping and lots of overseas workers. I was rate RV as good, but not outstanding.

    Ibis bencoolen.

This one seemed about the same price maybe 25 more than the RV, but the rooms where much nicer and the aircon much stronger. No mini bar but just a nicer feel about the place. The funny thing is that this was GF friendly but, I had a few girls that want to meet in the lobby and while the girl was waiting She was getting death looks from a few of the other guest. But in the end no problem came down gave her a hug and headed up stairs just like she was an old friend.

I would take the IBIS over RV, but that's really a personal feel.

Funny you should mention the Circle Line. There will soon be a new hotel opening fairly close to the Haw Par Villa station. The block of pubs and restaurants in the converted shophouses on Pasir Panjang Road at South Buona Vista has been doing pretty poorly, so the owners are going to convert it into a boutique hotel.

Which will be girl friendly, of course.
