German ATMs will give you 5, 10 and 20€ bills even if you withdraw larger amounts (if they did not run out). There also is an option to chose what kind of bills you want.

    A Lesson In Small Change

Even buying that first cup of coffee can occasionally be a problem when I first come into a new country and don't have any small change, in the local currency, from the country that I have just entered. Of course, as soon as I get off the plane or train, I head for the closest bank machine. But, if I withdraw a large amount of money, to get me started, the machines will frequently kick out all large denomination bills. People don't have a 'sense of humor' about selling you anything that is cheap, when all you have is 50's. 100's or larger notes. And, the limited banking hours do not always coincide with my entry into a new country, where I could go in and ask for smaller bills. Wait 'til you see the look on the lady's face that takes your money at the entrance to a WC, when you have to [CodeWord140] so bad you can taste it, and the smallest change you have is the same amount that you are going to pay for a session at an FKK! It's happened to me before, and you probably won't get in. And some of those old gals take those jobs real seriously, and may be prepared to kick your ass if you still think you are still going to use the pissoir!

So, I really did have a point, at the beginning, of what I've learned to do, to help create small change. When I go to the bank machine, now, instead of withdrawing the maximum I can withdraw for the day, I'll withdraw a larger amount, at first, but, when the machines asks if I want to make another transaction, I go back in over and over, and ask for the minimum amount dispensable (usually 5's or 10s). That way, I start my trip, with a billfold containing a full range of bills, and I still only get charged for a single ATM fee.

Now, I can go get my coffee, store my luggage, buy my tickets, pay for a [CodeWord140] (get coins before you dare take a [CodeWord140]) , and go get laid!

For example I read here that Villa Vertigo is not a good choice for Sunday because lots of mongers use free entry that they gain visiting VV any weekday. So, I am looking for some info like that.

    Thanks.

Hmmmm.... I guess to each their own. I personally would prefer to visit Villa Vertigo on Saturday and then get free entry again on Sunday! VV is a large club (particularly when the garden is in play) and is not usually all that busy on Sunday even if some do turn up for free entry. Personally the ladies and the ambiance of Villa Vertigo appeal to me more. Despite a reasonably good line up, I would not be inclined to visit ACA in the first place. But that's just me and everyone is different!

(Yes, I've tried to search the forum, but "gym" is not searchable and "fitness" brings to many unrelated posts.)
The only other gym I've seen is in Freude (Bochum). I've never seen anyone use it and it's probably just a treadmill and a stairmaster, so don't expect a 'full' exercise to be possible.

Cost you can take from the link I posted:

    http://www.bahnhof.de/site/bahnhoefe...gepaeck__.html

Only 50Cent. 1€ and 2€ coins accepted, no change given.

    Luggage Storage Costs

Thanks Dude, the information both of you provided is extremely helpfull. Along with the info you gave raises one another question- I seacrhed google to find any info but the 2 websites I came across are in German and hence I am again relying on my friends here!

Do you know the approximate costs for storage? Also does these storage places have enough room to carry 1 big suitcase (the typical 32" big one that we use for international travel)

I see from your reply that we have to drop coins. Does that mean that I have to carry coins? Never thought about that until I saw your message.

Was planning on credit cards, if they donthave that option I might be in trouble! Will wait for your replies. At the end I might store the luggage in Frankfurt International airport and then take train from there to Freidschorf station. Not sure Frankfurt airport has more payment options?

    Thank you everyone.

    CoupleAwesome-

Here is where I store my luggage temporarily at the HBF. As you are looking out into the train sheds toward the glassed in end where the trains enter and leave, the storage lockers I use are at the extreme right end. Find an open empty one, put yours stuff inside, close the door, drop coins in the slot, and turn the removable key and take it with you. I always take a digital photo of my locker number to remember it.

I am Planning a hobby weekend at an FKK April 29-May 1st. I just found out that Monday May 1st is a Holiday in most of Europe. I would like to know if there is a chance that everything may be closed or if not closed, may the FKK be scarce of beautiful woman because they are traveling home for the holiday weekend.
I don't think that any big FKK will close anytime during the 4-day May 1 weekend. They almost never close. I'm not sure, but they probably only close on Christmas and New Year's Day.

The time that I went to Oase in 2010 was the night before Corpus Christi, a legal holiday celebrated in the predominately Catholic parts of Germany (where most of the FKKs are found) : Baden Wuerttemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, Northrhine Westphalia, Rhineland Palatinate, and Saarland. I didn't know about the holiday until the next day, the day of the actual holiday (I'm Catholic and I had never even heard of this holy day). But Oase was going strong that night-there were lots of girls and clients.

However, the next day, on the night of Corpus Christi, I found myself somewhere not far from Bernd's. I wanted to go there, but I didn't have the address and I didn't know how to get there. Later, I was told that the club was closed that night because of the holiday. So Bernd's, which is always closed on the weekend, might be closed Monday and Tuesday of the labor day weekend.
