Have Kerrie provided the transportation. For $10 round trip you cannot go wrong. I paid $40 for a taxi ride from Sosua to BB and through I was getting a good deal. A taxi from the airport to Sosua is $20 each way. Have Kerrie pick you up in front of BB's. She knows what is going on and is cool with it. In fact we mongers make up a large portion of her business. Just be polite.

I was planning on splitting my June vacation between Sosua and BB. But if I can get Kerri to provide transportation I may stay the entire week at BBs. I'll have to drop Kerri an email.

Costambar cabs arent outrageous they are a complete scam, rip off. I enjoy BB's but I hate those damn cabs, you can't go anywhere without spending an arm and a leg and nobody can come in and get you that they know you are paying. And I swear they will not come off their ridiculous prices, they would rather sit in that shack then make money.

If you call ahead and have a cab or driver pick you up from the airport and take you into Costambar they allow you to use them the rest of your trip. The last time I was there I did this and after using him through out the trip I had him pick me up to take me back to the airport. I had it set up with another guy at BB's to jump in and share the cost. We step out in the street and the cabs had followed my guy in and started yelling only one while holding up his finger. So my guy says he would be suspended for a month because of this terd and we literally had to take separate cars to the same flight so that Costambar a-hole could make his money. I was furious and have sworn from here on out they will not get a penny from me for a tip ever again.

Same thing happened to me in Dec. I meet a guy at BBs in Dec who had a regular drive. He offered me a ride back to the airport but the driver refused to take me because he would get in trouble with the taxi union. So I hopped into a cab that was waiting outside of BB but we got stopped at the taxi stand on the way out. I had to change cabs. Apparently it was not this driver's turn. What a pain!

I have found that a good vibrator can increase the fun in the room. On my last trip I had one girl ask if she could just go up to my room to use the vibrator. She said "you no pay. I dive with Scuba Elite when I'm in Sosua. Kerrie runs a great boutique operation. North Cost Diving is a 'cattle boat' operation. The diving in the bay is only fair and the best sites are on the western wall out by the airport. You'll be spending most of the time diving Three Rocks. After diving everyone sits out front of the dive shop sharing a few beers & swapping stories. Around 5pm it was time to head to La Rumbas to fine some late afternoon entertainment. How are you getting to Sosua each day?

I spent four days at BB in December and had a great time. Interact with the girls, spend a few pesos and they will treat you right. Keeping some beer and booze in your room is a good idea. Your late night guests and you will want some party material. Baileys & tequila are the most popular but the chicas will drink what ever you have. The motel shuts down around 12pm-1pm. Make sure you have your date line up by them because all the unattached girls go home and there are no other options in the area. I did not tip much, never more then a couple hundred pesos. Mostly I showed my appreciation by giving repeat business to the chicas I enjoyed.

Something similar occurred to a cousin seven years ago but in Santo Domingo airport in our way back to Puerto Rico. He was asked with how many girls he slept during the trip. The interview was as described by you and I had only dirty clothes to bring in. Besides, I do not believe in pictures but you could see the guy's a-has -that he knew well why someone would visit DR alone but he did also look at my passport - "oh, you were in Dubai" etc. Towards the end, a boss showed up and kind of apologized with the usual "we have to do it" and gave me a form on which to complain. I have to say, it was the first time in my whole traveling life, I had that experience. On another note, I travel to EU on my EU passport and passport control flicks through it. Just a cursory glance compared to the "welcome home" drill given by immigration here to a US citizen. Eh, que voy a hacer?

i've traveled to the dr alone dozens of times, they don't care if you were in the dr banging chicas 24/7, you can be as big of a pervert as you want to be, it's not against the law as long as you aren't going with **** girls. they are looking for drug smugglers. just tell them you were on vacation, don't be rude but be firm in your answers as they are trained to read your body language and are watching you for nervousness etc. not so much in what your answers are. use the same story for every trip "i went to pop, stayed at playa dorada, laid on the beach every day, yes i was by myself." that's it. don't have pictures of naked girls on your computer, though i always bring mine and have been pulled into secondary many times and they never look at it. remember, what you did was not illegal, assuming you are a usa citizen, they have to let you through and can only bust your balls to a certain degree.

They are not interested in your sexual activities. They are only trying to find out if you are involved in drug smuggling or money laundering. Tell them you went to stay in a brothel. That's not illegal in US law, is it?
