Posts: 413Thanks guys, very much appreciated for all your feedback.
The bar / gogo experience is not new to me, I lived in BKK last year and Soi Cowboy was a place I spent a lot of time plus I would go on the weekends to Pattaya.
Is the gogo scene in AC similar to BKK / Patts or different?

1. Go to balibago. Com It has all info about hotels and prices. Call individual hotels and try to negotiate the best price. Sometimes they give you a discount if you are staying for a week or more.
2. Hotels on and around fields avenue are on the expensive side.
3. Bars on fields avenue charge more for barfine.
4. If you are arriving late why not stay one night in Manila? There are cheap hotels near Manila bay cafe. You can get a girl there cheap if you are not too picky.
5. Next morning just walk down to swagmans and take fly the bus for 600 pesos. It will drop you and your bags to your chosen hotel in AC.
Your thinking of paying 3000 pesos for taxi will cover room, girl and maybe bus fare.
6. You can go to perimeter bars and barfine girls cheap. But do stop in fields avenue bars for experience.
7. There are discos where you can pick up freelancers cheap. Just lock up your valuables in safe deposit box. All hotels have them either in the room or at reception.

The girls are nice and have always provided me with good sex. I prefer Candy Bar over most of the bars on Fields Ave. There are several post of Candy Bar on YouTube for guys who want to take a look inside the bar. The girls are not 10s, but they look good to me. I have always loved nice and sweet brown skin Filipinas and Candy Bar has them (as opposed to the whiter skin Filipinas at the big clubs on Fields Ave).

Anything you need, you can pick up cheaply locally. Umbrellas all around for about 100 pesos.

I always stay at Sunset Garden in A. C. Which fits your price range, and they do have a pool, wi-fi and a resto.
August weather can be quite rainy in the Philippines, and you could run into something; so, be sure to bring a small umbrella, flip-flops, and maybe a rain jacket: you'll be OK. The bars will still be open.

Posts: 413Thanks guys for your feedback and answering my questions (X-Man, West Coast and Fast Eddie 48) very much appreciated guys!
So to recap, a cab ride from the MNL international aiport at night to AC will take about an hour and should go for around 2700-3000, sounds good to me. After spending almost 24 hours on a plane, I wouldn't mind paying for a private car to get me to my hotel without any hassle. Much better than hagging with a cab outside the airport.
Is there like a guide to the AC scene in here like the one in say the tremendously helpful Bubba guide in the Rio forum? Rio was my fav playground before but lately, I've been having the yellow fever and it's been Asia for the past 2 years.
Fast Eddie,
Thanks for the hotel suggestion (Cental Park) , I'm going to look at it. Is it near the action or not?
Also, if I were to arrive at my hotel around midnight, which bar would you suggest for a first timer for his first night in AC? Open to all suggestions guys!
Thanks again!

Barfine most small bar at field start at 1500 p include FS tip is option I tip 200-300 p if service is good, the bigger bar with better Quality girl like the Camelot, Blue nile and Crystal palace is 1900 to 3000 p don't be cheap if you are only going to be here for a few days go for a 3000 p super hot girl for one night about 75 USD now I am back in the US and I say to myself I should of barfine the 3000p girl not to save 1500 p for a 1500 p girl.

Posts: 4567I prefer to spend a night or two in MNL and then take one of the hotel bus services like FLy the Bus. But the cheapest hotel with a pool is going to be 2500 or over in Manila. Has anyone stayed at Copacabana lately? It has a pool and is directly across from the EDSA Entertainment ctr, and is also near a bus station. If you plan to go to AC the next day, you probably don't need a pool.
Nevertheless, a late night ride to AC has some advantages. Traffic should be light, so about one hour. Also you avoid the check in / check out at a Manila Hotel. I'm not sure how much a cabbie from the airport will charge you, but they would probably be more trustworthy than a taxi you flag on the street somewhere. For safety reasons, you might ask how long he has already been driving. You don't want a sleepy driver.
There will be a lot of rain July thru September. You can buy an umbrella at the mall. Take (or buy) sandals for when the rain is heavy to avoid wet shoes. X.

Hey gents,
I'm planning my first trip to AC. 2nd to the Phils in late August. Some typical newbie questions:
- how long is it to reach AC by taxi from the international airport in Manila? Is it safe to cab it if the flight lands late at night in MNL (say around 9-11pm)? Or would you guys recommend to spend the night in MNL and get to AC the following day?
- what would be a good hotel to stay, which is near the action for around 1000-1300 / night? Not concerned about brakefest but wifi is a must and a pool would be a nice bonus but not vital.
- weather wise, is that a good season? Or is it the rainy season / hurricane season?
- roughly speaking, what are the current rates for ST and LT at the bars in AC?
Apologies for the newby questions, I will read the entire AC section as my trip approaches.
Thanks!

I spent 2 night here and it was fully booked except for a junior suite. Everything looked new and staff was very caring and accommodating. It's about 5 min walk to field ave. After checked in, I went there around 1:30am and did bar hopping. It looked like good stocks got depleted because it was not impressed with the quality and asking barfine was 1800-2000. So I went back emptied hand and felt I wasted my time here. Next evening, I realized that Devera was next to Pony Tail bar. I checked it out aroung 6pm and they had 75 in stock. I took the advice fom this forum and I talked to a Mama. She presented 7 fresh meat and BF was only 1500. I got a fresh one.
