I was in Centro a couple of days ago around 3 pm. I decided to to the walk up the stairs. I have not been there since last year. I am nort heavier than last year, but for some reason that stairway seems more narrow than before. I may have been there at a bad time, maybe a bit early I guess. A little late, but just a suggestion for anyone faced with a similar dilemma. South America, and particularly Brasil (and especially Rio) , is such a whole different world, like a different planet. To live one's life without visiting is almost an omission.

Once you decide to do it, the p4p scene is pretty different too. High end to low end. And plenty of it. But without going into many paragraphs, I think the best reason to visit is to experience a culture that is so different, so refreshing, a major part of the planet that views the world we live in in rather an eye-openingly fresh new way. Just my tuppence. But it's a long haul flight from Europe and a bigger undertaking. And can be quite overpowering.

For a seriously big awakening, it's worth considering a double location. For instance, include Buenos Aires in the same trip to get another vastly different view on the world (plenty of very different p4p there too). Or visit one of Brasil's more remote regions that can really open the heart. Remember Brasil is big. Roughly the size of the USA!

First of all thanks to all mongerers pay attention to my questions. Since last week I have made a lot of research in ISG. If I had done that much work on physics I could have get easily a Ph. D. But anyway.

In my opinion Brasil is really worth to try once in a life for those close to Brasil who lives in USA for example or people who can speak basic spanish.

I am not sure so many people can speak english there in Brasil. But for example Malta or Spain has many German, Norwegian, English. Etc etc tourists who came this close destination for a short beach and sun vacation.

Moreover English speaking percentage beneath local people must be higher than Brasil.

So I think if someone like me who can only speak english and live in Europe, and not so much into P4P scene, must choose Spain first and secondly Malta.

Of course I am curious about which is easier for a one night stand? A drunk German or Irish in Spain nigth clubs or a Brasilian in Rio?

I think women on a short vacation much more into to have a one night stand than who is primarily look for a more serious relationship in her hometown.

So Spain gets another plus from this point of view. Also Malta is an international English Learning Center for all world. There are thousands of students there who just came there for studying.
