    Thanks Blackwhite99 and Carlos3000

Thank you both for the information.

Currently there is still 1 open issue. The Nigerian embassy in Berlin didn't accept the invitation letter a friend issued for me. They rejected it because my friend is student, she has no international passport and therefore does not have enough credibility, to take care of me so that I'm not scammed. LOL

Looks like Nigeria does not want tourists. But I'm working on this problem.

    Cheers,

    M.

Money: Credit cards are accepted at only the major hotels and with the major airline offices. Cash for everything else. USD is widely accepted as an alternative to the Naira. Either bring in enough USD / EURO / GBP to cover your stay, or use one of the many ATMs which I always found to be reliable. If you want to change money, try the Malam at the Eko hotel, they give much better rates than the banks.

Taxis: There are several new private taxi companies operating in Lagos now and who use new cars (with working AC) and reasonable drivers. You can spot them on the Lagos roads. They have a central booking office number splashed down the side. Once you've found a car / driver you're happy with, deal with him directly via mobile phone.

La Playa is a decent enough place to stay, it's run by a Brit and his wife and they will arrange a pick up at the airport for you. They have a bit of a shindig there on a weds night and there is usually a decent selection of both WG's and non-WG's to choose from.

What kind of payment do you recommend in restaurants, bars, shops? Cash or CC?

    How can I get cash?

    Where can I get cash?

    What about transportation. Taxi?

Are there "safe and non scam" taxis? How to know them?

How much should the taxi cost from the airport to "La Playa Suites" which is close "The Palms"?

    More Questions

I would suggest carrying a combination of cash (USD or Euros are fine) and credit card. There are ATMs all over and there might be one in your hotel. ATMs mostly dispense Niara. There might be ones that dispense foreign currency that I don't know about. Make sure that your CC has a smart card logo on it or you will not be able to get cash. Happened to me my last visit. Traveler's checks! People still use those LOL. The major issuers of travelers checks (Thomas Cooke and American Express) have offices in Lagos. BTW once you change your money have the driver take you straight back to the hotel so you can lock up your loot. Naira notes are very large and will create a big bulge in your pocket if you carry a lot (not a good look in Lagos). Cheers and happy mongering!

Is there something like an ATM so cash Niaras?

Or is it better to carry USD or EUROS (I'm from Germany) to Nigeria and then change them there?

    What about traveller checques?

It's been a while that I carried cash to foreign countries. Last century!

    Lagos

    Mr M,

I would not recommend taking a taxi from the Airport; too many scams and the possibility of kinnapping. Ask the hotel to send a car for you. A lot safer and could be cheaper. Use cash, Naira, for most of your purchases; again, you reduce the possibility of scams. Ask a member of the hotel staff to take you to where you can change money safely. They most likely will take you to a black market money broker, don't be afraid, that's where most people change money. Lagos is not like other countries where you can walk in and change money at a money changing shop. Changing money is a also major hassle at the banks and other "official financial institutions." Regarding getting around, most of your hunting is going to be in and around Ikoyi, Victoria Island and probably Lekki. Have the hotel arrange a driver to take you around. Daily cost for a driver should be around 10, 000 (appx $US60). Again, Lagos is not a very user friendly city so you should take all the precautions that you can. And feel free to ask your driver to hook up up. Happy mongering!

Update on prices in Abuja and other clubs

Last Saturday I went to this club in Abuja (WUSE II area I think) called Soho. Was absolutely full of white guys and local girls who were a mix of pros and semi-pro students. I went with a 22 year old university student who was an absolute beauty who I met on Badoo. After blowing 10, 000 Naira (that's about $65 USD) on drinks for her and her friends, (I tried to keep her friend's drinks to a minimum since this is a common ploy) , she came back to my place and spent the night. (got nothing in the morning) In the morning it was classic as she asked and waited for 'transport' money. I gave her 4, 000 Naira (about $25 USD) and she didn't seem pleased but didn't say anything either.

She was a real operator who fit the stereotype of smoking, having an expensive Blackberry phone, and quite the party girl but bored with me at the same time (I can't blame her). It will be interesting if she becomes a regular.

Prices in Abuja and Badoo sit

I've been in Abuja for a month and a half now and it seems that the very minimum you will have to pay for overnight is about 6, 000 to 8, 000 Naira (that is about $40 to $50 USD). This is about double other places in Africa from my experience due to the higher costs of Abuja. I would strongly recommend you agree to price before leaving. I've met quite a few girls on Badoo who turn out to be serious pros. I did manage to get one girl to agree to 5, 000 Naira for 4 hours (that is about $34 USD). In my opinion if you want to travel somewhere just to get some action for a vacation I would not recommend Abuja because of the costs being so much higher. As for clubs, Krystal Lounge in Wuse II and Grotto in Maitama are good places plus Grand Mirage in Garki to find pros. Watch out for those VIP sections that do not sell single drinks but only full bottles at $90 USD when the same bottle costs $25 in a store. If you go into the VIP section to sit down they will hassle you to buy one of these full bottles but just say no. They have not kicked me out for not buying but it is a bit embarrassing when your date expects you to buy this full bottle of whisky at $90 USD. That is why the common sections are packed. Krystal Lounge and Grotto play great music.

I cannot help you with Ikeja, but head over to Victoria Island and you will always find girls every night in Michaels and the Step Inn. Happy hunting.

If you can't get your dick wet in Lagos, there's not much help for you.

If you are in Lagos, you can go any number of clubs and beautiful women will be all over you. It's really not that difficult.

My regular girl is up North and I

    Hi guys,

For a couple months, I've had a regular gal I met who did some work in the office at the Southern Sun Ikoyi Hotel. She has since gone up North for a few month to look after her mom.

Long story short, in her absence, was inquiring to all of you whether you might have some recommendations of a Lagos-area woman that shares a unique physical characteristic of my friend who I'll call "A".

"A" is athletically slender, pretty eyes, nice skin, average breasts. Nothing unusual about that. What she did posses and I am craving is that her muff has very nice, meaty-lipped labia plus an above average sized clitabout the size of the tip of my small finger.

I have called up a couple other gals I know that are great fun in bed, but don't have these attributes quite to the level of "A".

So question : Does anyone know of a fun gal in the Lagos metro area with meaty lips and / or a prominent clit? She doesn't have to be slender like "A", but average to curvy is okay too.

Please PM me. Of course, I have some contact details of some gals that might fit your needs as well, so please respond if you have a particular Lagos woman in mind endowed with meaty lips (downstairs).

    Thanks in advance,

    Beachguy

    EKO Suites

I will be in that hotel next week and I know that ladies will appear at bars after 10 pm but heard that the average is quite low in quality and high in age! Any experience? What's price level?

    Thanks a lot
