In the bar scene, I think you have to go with the "single" option to maximize your prospects.

I haven't used JIF. But generally my return on these sites has been very limited compared to the bar scene. Maybe you could run two profiles. One married / one single. Again, I think the "married" profile would not get you much action- relatively speaking. The "bored married Japanese lady looking for some gaijin cock on the side" pool is very small. Tokyo. I haven't received that particular scam, but ones similar. I am generally suspicious of any replies from "western" women on CL. I think the main scam on CL is harvesting email addresses. Generally, the replies from "western women" have no relevance to the ad you post, or if the ads are posted by "western women" have very little detail and omit any info on location. I think the popular ad re a western women staying in a hotel in Tokyo for one night is a routine scam. Also look out for ads / replies by "Japanese women" that are written in perfect English including current slang and sex terminology, or are generally too OT on the sexy side for a JPN women.

On a separate CL note, I swapped emails and cam with JPN women yesterday. She writes a long ad focused on getting good oral service. Which Canadians don't do in her opinion.
