Is it just me, or has Mamba's software gone to ratshit recently?

I have just upgraded my membership in anticipation of a trip to Ukraine and, first I had lots of trouble doing so, it kept giving me an error message.

Now I cannot set an age preference for the girls I want to meet (it only offers the choice of 61-80!) or purpose (only offers Travel).

Then on the search engine, I do not get a drop down menu for Height or Weight and seems to be very erratic delivering profiles with my specified age range.

Plus of course they have taken away a lot of other useful searchable criteria, but that is a different issue.

On the plus side, I was able to change my home location to Kiev which gets me a lot more traffic!

Also, it looks like "Friendship" has become the new euphemism for P4P. What is the Russian word they are using. Can it translate differently than "friendship"?

Mamba is fucked up. I have same issues; can't search ages, height or weight, etc. Even with my VIP membership. Any other good websites?

Nope. The phrase that is used in Cyrillic is Nope. The phrase that is used in Cyrillic is Дружба и общение meaning friendship and companionship, in this case. общение can also mean communication. Good luck.

I have to say I agree with Prosal on this one anyone who has 6000 friends on either facebook or vk. Com has far too many and must have some issues. I know of a guy in St Petersburg who is similar (although he is actually Russian). When I ask the girls that I know who are also friends with him about who he is and why are they friends with him. In my humble opinion you are treating Russian girls the way you would treat Western women. In the most cases this is not needed. There is no need to try and convince a Russian girl you are not a monger they expect men to have a history and like it that you have slept with other women. Why would you need to convince her you are cool with disposable income. These are all assumed by Russian girls as you are western, Russian girls know their guys aren't cool. Sensitive. I think we can all agree to disagree about who has whatever number of contacts on whichever social site and whether or not, in English,"many girls" has the same meaning as "all of them are girls." No, sorry but I don't get it. Casual sex is common as ever in Russia. And a date is a date, wherever you hited on the girl: in the street, in a Mall, on a dating site or on a social networking site. If a Russian girl agrees to meet you, chances are high, if you play your cards right and if you have the right "game", that you will fuck her sooner or later. And most often sooner than later. Personally I fuck 90% of the Russian girls I meet. What strikes a nerve is that you state that most Russian girls are reluctant to have foreigners on their VK friend list, but YOU have "a few thousands of girls" who accepted you. The hidden meaning is that you are both in your looks and in your style worth to have as a "friend". But still, you admit that you have scored none of those few thousands, even the ones that you have dated. You'll agree that all this sounds weird.

I'm not sure what we are all debating here, I think everyone is on the same page. Vkontakte is a normal social networking site that people go onto to chat with friends, not to find foreign husbands, so it's not full of working women or those seeking sponsorships. What it does have are a lot of useful tools that let you search through the database in ways that are impossible with sites like Facebook (by location, age, and relationship status.).

It's not a good tool if you want to get your dick wet within 12 hours of landing off a plane. It IS however a good tool to get to know normal Russian / Ukrainian / Belarussian girls if you have Russian-language communication skills. I've had lots of success finding girls, who I then met up with in country, and a few I slept with. It's something you can do to line up some girls before you go.

For instance after meeting with a pair of students on vkontakte and video chatting them one Friday evening last year, I met up with them a month later when I was in country visiting and we immediately went shopping for wine / vodka / etc. And then we headed immediately to my apartment to party. It was a way to skip the whole "pick up routine" on the street or in a club.

So for me it's a nice compliment to trying to pickup girls in night clubs. And I have met some girls from VK who are open to sponsorships, but it is a very small number (less than 5%).

It does not replace mamba if pros are your thing, but it's a useful tool to add to the toolbox.
