Thank you, great suggestion for the Beach Road option.
I don't mind paying the bucks when I see something that blisses my eye, just don't like to overpay and feel stupid cause IMO, most think generosity is a weakness to be exploited. LOL.
Guarantee if won't be my first time or last time on both overpaying & stupidity.
My goals for self improvement are pretty easy since they are starting off at a low bar. Haha

I see this often living here like you and I see it a lot on the darkside. I'm not that age yet but I'm getting there? Here is my take cause not all farangs with thai women of this age has to be married? With or without rings? Like many like yourself you are here to put as many marks on your belt as possible but for many like you see these guys for their own reasons (to each their own) are here not for the sex any longer but for companionship and mostly someone to take care of them. They a pay old women a salary (old bar girls ?)who can speak some English etc. That will help them around, cook, clean, and take them out. In return they get a monthly salary, hopefully a clean place to live and sleep. Their kids are all grown up and mostly don't need them so what they make they keep for themselves and hopefully when the gravy train runs out they have saved enough to keep them going until their own demise.
Maybe you have seen him? At the Big C extra in the food court near the Sunrise Taco, there is usually a old guy with a old thai women. He rolls this shopping cart from upstairs which has a few groceries. He buys a small lunch from upstair already cooked for around 20 baht then sits downstair in the food court eating while the old women walks around shopping and then she comes back and they just sit. I've talked to him a few times and he seems happy with the situation and I say good for you old man.

Mr. Jj197,
I have read your post. I think you are way ahead of many tourists by being well groomed. The Thais are fastidious people, and they are totally turned off by uncleanliness and body odor. Some cultures, I have heard, find natural body odor attractive. Is it the phermone argument? I don't know. I practice good hygiene also, because I don't like rejection. I want to be able to approach a Thai lady I find attractive, and not be eliminated from consideration because I don't meet her grooming standards. Also, I have heard many Thai ladies complain that when they get back to an Indian persons room, they find 4 other men waiting. I don't have knowledge of this for a fact, its just what I 've heard some PFP ladies say. I've been coming to Thailand since 1994, my last trip was my 15th visit to the LOS. So, I do like to think I have some experience. I think you will be fine. Just be fair, and treat all Thais with respect, unless they treat you otherwise. Even then, its best to walk away from any situation that makes you uncomfortable.

Guy just asked for a wiki version to help him get his feet wet when he hits the ground running. I love reading the forums, the posts and read the different experiences. But I would appreciate also a guide, a summary to help with a lot of common questions asked such as were is the best ATM or where do I get my teeth cleaned, or transportation etc, so I can focus the majority of time concentrating on our common hobby here.
For example: Hmm, want a soapie, but I have been walking up and down Beach Road, and going up and down soi and no luck. Oh, I remember this guide that talked about soapies on second road around soi2 and soi 3. TUK TUK time. Now I can spend my time choosing which girl will recover my manhood; p.
A guide / wiki just will help some users pointed in the right direction. No guide will ever capture or replace the feeling, the smells and sights of moving from soi to soi. And yeah, youare so right, that is a big part of fun, walking around and exploring.
Also, no one is telling you have to stop chatting here until you post a guide. A few just asking if there is already a guide, or if there is a guide in the works.

P. S. Disclaimer: Yes, I am new to the ISG forum, so yes, so my forum posts are of a low count, and yes, no trip report yet. One will be coming though in 7 weeks but for a different country. But all that will not invalidate on what I have to say here.

Mr. Enternational and other ISG members. I have stayed in Pattaya for 6 months at a time, (6 month. 3 entry visa) for the last two years. The boys in brown also set up an afternoon checkpoint / roadblock on the "dark side" (east side) of Pattaya every afternoon. They have waved me over twice. Same drill, show a license (International drivers license, I obtained in the USA before entering Thailand) and then lift up the seat. They are checking for drugs. If for some reason, you are carrying anything illegal, they will make life uncomfortable for you. Of course, a large donation to the "tea money" fund will more often than not help you to extricate yourself from a delicate situation. There is a roadblock every afternoon in Phuket, between Patong Beach and Kata Karon. If you arent wearing a helmet, or have violated some other Thai law, either real or imagined, you will be fined on the spot. Last year, the fine was 300 Baht. I met a Russian national who was on the same plane I was on the way to Kuala Lumpur for a visa run, and he told me the fine is now up to 500 Baht. When Cambodia realizes that their sanitation standards are a deterrent to many western travelers, and make an effort to improve their environment, I will be spending more time in Phnom Penh. Am I whining? I don't think so.

WS is Walking Street. One of the most famous mongering and bar spots in the world. You never heard of it in this forum?
Results? For me every mongering place in SEA.
That is all part of the experience to me. That is what an adventerous man does. Especially at these places.
Not following a road map.
I gave you the basic spots to hit that have been repeated here 1000 times. Go to those spots and walk around and take the place in for yourself. I bet you have more fun.
