It has been two years since I've been here, and last time I took the group van. This time took the taxi. Something about you pay 70 pesos in addition to the metered rate, and got the receipt. Bit tired from the flight. Anyway, taxi to Ermita.

I know the route how to get there, and he drove it correctly. Quickly. The meter said about 10 kilometers. And the final cost: 1200 pesos. Took my bag out, and went to hotel. Asked the gal at the front desk."No sir. Taxi from airport should have cost 300 to 500p at most. Did you get the driver's license? Did you keep that receipt which was given to you?"

You must have got the taxi from taxi mafia guy. When you exit ignore all taxi guys approaching you, make a left turn and go to metered taxi desk. They will give you a slip of paper after asking you what hotel you go to.

Generally these cost 300-400 to Malate. Their meter is rigged but I guess they are official license holders.

Cheapest is go one floor up and catch a taxi which is dropping off someone and insist on meter. Even here the taxi guy wants to quote you a price. If he does not agree get out and get another one.

You need to ignore the security guards there who try to block you into getting a taxi.

On the right meter last time I took in October it was 155 pesos. I gave the driver 200 pesos.

That sucks. I noticed the only times taxi drivers try to rip me off is when I get on at the airport. Twice, I've asked to get out of the taxi because of the stunts these idiots try to pull on me! FYI, always keep that paper the guy at the airport gives you of the license plate and stuff.

Yes X. I thought after I had reflected on what I said in my post that perhaps IFRp was being unintentionally ambiguous (even though you said it was ambigious lol). In fact, I interpreted his usage to mean that most of the dating site women were freelance seekers of remuneration, and this might well be a narrow (and erroneous view).

Well the post you refering to is my pretrip Manila report I guess. As it turned out, if you read my posttrip report, I just gave the scammers (age, looks) some pisos (between 200 - 500php I don't mention any figures but I am sure I did not give them any blue 1000 bills). The reason for giving scammers some compensation seems odd to me sitting back in safe Norway thinking about it. I guess I just wanted to have an easy exit and don't have someone (if they have some co workers nearby) hurting me when I exit the mall (maby a bit paranoide but this I have been adviced to do from people knowing Manila in and out) Except from the 2 realy poor girls which I did a sharity run with as I felt by heart I should, I did not pay the last 4 anything (I fucked 2 of them). They refused me to cover anything (litterarly) except wine and dine but that I do back in Norway as well so fine by me. So if they were freelancers they did not get much business from me, hehe. 2 of them(not fuck) I want to meet again as they were stunners..

There were two things that called my attention: When I asked IPS's employees about the amount of time one can spend with the girls picked up from Timog Ave. They all said "It all depends on you, sir". I'm not sure if they meant that for 1500 pesos you can ask for more than one encounter or you can ask the girl to stay more time.
