i have read number of comments people leave on sxm and one that stood out from few people is the safety at night around the casas. carolina's, seaman's, etc. people say is dangerous area at night.

can someone shed some light on safety at night? is it dangerous to walk in that area at night or simply to be around? is it safe to drive with rent-a-car?

any feedback is appreciated and it will definitely help fellow members be safe during stay.

i have been to st. maarten many times and always have a rental car. i have parked at the various houses in the day time and at night, never a problem. you might see some local guys hanging in front of the clubs, but this too has never been a problem for me. as for walking, during the day, it is a fairly long walk from philipsburg to carolina's / seaman's / el capitan. but the road to carolina's via the stadium is now paved and i doubt you would be threatened by anyone during the day. at night, however, this road is quite dark, and i would not recommend you walk it at that time. there is not much traffic on that road in the evening. there have been reports of a few incidents walking the paths between those three clubs, even though they are close together, both day and evening. if you chose to walk between them, i would stay on the main roads and enter the club sites from the main road. the main road to defiance is a much longer walk, and a road with many twists and turns, not well lit, and vehicles driving at high speeds. i would never walk that road day or night, and often wonder how often locals are hit along that stretch. a walk to defiance from philipsburg would likely cost you all of your mojo going, but burn off the alcohol on the way back in time to swing into the other three clubs to start over.

I am a yachty, regular to sxm. I know all the clubs, usually going to carolinas or seamans as I prefer the rooms.

Now I am thinking about having a girl to hang out with for 1 or maybe 2 days. I will be in a nice hotel and was curious if this would help the bargain.

So my questions are-

Would staying in a nice hotel help with price?

I was thinking going in at midday, hanging for an hour or so and doing a sample or two. I was thinking if I like a girl after 30 mins offering 350 to head out around 2pm, back 9am next day. Would this be realistic? (I mean she already would have 50 bucks from the 1/2 session, so really she has got 400 out of me). If I got her for 2 days, would she come down a bit or would it probably just be double.

Also, any recommendations for known chicas that prefer to get out and stay somewhere nice. I am wondering if most chicas prefer to make the cash in the house or chill with someone cool for a while?

Just like anywhere else where there is some poverty, be cautious but don't have to be scared or worried. Driving in a rental car is very safe but walking alone at night is not. Taxis are safe as well.

I keep my boat in St Martin all winter.

When I haul the boat for work I stay in a nice hotel.

The chicas do not seem to care as long as they are out of the clubs.

The chicas do like to get away from the 24/7 hell holes they work in but,

I feel it is not a bargaining chip. They are there for the $$$. If it makes sense to do

I would suggest sessions with chicas you like then ask if they would like to have an early

You already got sage advice from LS and Shark. I will address only the two questions above.

Hotel: If you are staying at a total dump, that would be a negative. A 3 to 5 star would not make a difference. A really fancy hotel might tempt the girl to quote you more and she will wonder if you are willing to pay $500 a night for room, why you are negotiating with her for $50 bucks :-D. BTW, a nice hotel and good treatment from you might tempt her to give you a steep discount the second day or second time. That has happened to me.

If you can get a 9 for $350 from 2 PM to next day 9 AM, that would be a good deal. Multa would be additional.

Fully agree with Lucky S on this. Just adding two more cents:

Girls are different, and so are the guys. You really should not skip shopping around a little. In addition to the obvious market dynamics (popularity of girl / popularity of club / high vs. Low season / time spent with your girl / your service demands) , there is an obvious human element here that should not be ignored:
- Some girls simply LOVE hotels and would do "anything" to get away from the bars.
- Some girls are hesitant about leaving the safe grounds of the bar to something unknown with a stranger.

And then there is this wonderful thing called chemistry: We always brag about testdriving the girls before committing to a TLN, but guess what, lately one girl insisted on testdriving ME before committing to an outcall! In a split second of vanity I prepared myself for giving her the best sex ever, then a quick reality check and 0, 01 seconds later it all made sense: I AM a stranger to her. Who am I? Would she be comfy with me? What are my service demands? Would she be able to sleep at all and work the next day? Am I smelly or clean? A party animal or a tranquil dude or a dud? Am I a nice guy or a douchbag? A smelly toothless old fart or a young rich Spanish speaking salsa dancer? Of course, there is a huge difference for a girl spending 20 mnts vs. 14 hours or more with a guy.

Also, as Lucky S say, if you lust for the hottest girl in the most popular club, then what is the point in negotiating the price too much? If you negotiate too hard you may end up with a no or a less motivated girl. Here is a story: A couple of years ago a friend of mine thought he had made the deal of his life negotating a $200 TLN deal (multa included) with a hottie from Carolina's. Sounded too good to be true. It was. Not suprisingly the girl got "menstrual pain" early in the morning crying to drive her back to the club at 6 am. Sure, they agreed for some sort of refund as the girl could not fulfull her part of the contract (which I think he later repaid anyway feeling sorry for the girl). Still, the night of his dreams went down the drain. A coincidence?

Then again, some guys simply don't need a motivated and active girl and are happy finding a hot girl at a minimum price agreeing to certain services and being the active one himself. Guys are different and a general advice on what to do is hard to give. What works for me does not necessarily work for you.

All I can say is it pays to spend some time checking several prospects. Try your luck out there. It you are happy with a deal, and the girl is happy with the deal, then magic can happen.

No,"nice hotel" won't make much of a difference. If it's got hot water it's already better than the rooms in Carolina. There's a ton of mega-yacht crews, pilots, etc on the island now. In just the past 3 weeks most if not all Carolina girls have been to most hotels in SXM, including the "better ones."

I'd say $350 is realistic, especially if chica "digs" you. But what if chica wants another $50? A deal-breaker? IMHO, I don't understand why some people who spend thousands to get to SXM for a short few days just wouldn't spend another $50 and go back to the hotel empty-handed or with the 4th or 5th choice. Price inflation is happening whether we like it or not. Especially during New Year.

IMHO and from my experience, chicas always prefer to leave their "clubs" on multa. Some chicas won't go with someone who's known to act crazy, others will take a hit of whatever you're taking and hope nobody ends up in the hospital with OD.

first, this is a great forum. i've been lurking for some time and finally decided to sign up. i am not a regular monger myself (i prefer the thrill of the hunt, call me crazy) , but i know quite a bit about it. how? i work for a company with interests in sxm, and have been going there for years. part of my duties are helping to make sure our biz partners have a good time when they come down. also, i know a lot of locals with good connections. finally, you may be surprised to learn that a good bit of local negotiation is done late at night at places like caroline's and blanca. at least under the old regime, i think the perception is that it's hard to get photographed / recorded in those places.

i figured i'd discuss two places that have not been discussed much. platinum and bada bing.

anyway, here's my experience, starting at platinum. i went out with a couple of the ee's from there. i like the ee's because my family is ukranian, so i'm used to the bitchy attitude (call me crazy again). platinum gets ee's and smoking hot columbians for the most part. i have yet to meet an ee there who is overtly available for outcall, though i'm told some of them can be persuaded for an exorbitant sum. i know the columbians are available for take-out. a friend brought a 9. 5 home for two days. total cost was $600 and some nice dinners / a little shopping. the $600 was paid for the first night, he never paid her any more (this was low season). he is a relatively good looking, in shape guy who is an obvious high roller, so it may be she was looking for a longer-term sugar daddy and was willing to try and make an investment in her future, so to speak. as always ymmv, but $600 for two days and nights does not seem terrible if you're into the long term gfe, and i am told (and believe) she was fantastic. he said she was open to everything, bbbjcim, greek, etc, and it was the first time in his life he had to tell a girl to stop servicing him so he could get a break.

Sorry mate, I've not seen 19-23year old 'working girls' in SXM clubs. For that you might have to go to DR or Colombia. The highest ratio of thin and petite will probably be in Carolina and Seamans.

Unfortunately, this is exactly species you won't find in the casas of St. Maarten anymore. About 3 years ago, SXM Immigration imposed a directive to the embassies to issue visas only for applicants that are older than 25 years ("to protect the youth"). Since then, there is a dramatically shift towards the more experienced and (with increasing age) chubbier ones. While everything is posible in St. Maarten, it will be the exception from the rule.

For the "younger (around 19-23 yr old) and petite (smaller) girls" you have to travel to the source.
