    Perhaps I'm just missing things. I'll take your word for it that there are possibilities there. I generally rely on getting The Look, but I've never received that sort of eye contact there.

    I'm guessing you're a new arrival (within the last 8months) to Cebu. Yes my experience differs greatly from yours because you are new to Cebu and I am not. On the Cebu General Reports Thread someone mentioned semi-pro street meat over on Junquera, and you replied "Where on Junquera?", so that tells me you know little to nothing about Cebu. Everyone knows about Junquera, and I'm not putting you down just calling it the way it is.

    So just to recap. There's semi-pro action available at Robonsons fuente. Look downstairs around the food court or on the upper levels. Alot of the semi-pros will not walk right up to you and announce in front of all the other locals they are for sale, but the action is there. It's just not so in-your-face as it was previously. Gessuuss DS has been posting about (and enjoying) the semi-pros he pulls from Robinsons for over a decade. I think you can't see the forest through the trees.

    In the good ol' days guys would gather at Bo's coffee and the filipinas would circle. Back then there were fewer foreigners in Cebu and most of the locals could care less what happened. There used to be a alot of semi-pro filipinas that would work Robinsons both inside and out and the quality was ten times better IMO. The corner of Ramos and Mango used to be a big spot for pickup girls, not anymore. Things have changed.

    It seems Robinsons is trying to clean up it's image. Locals have known for years that the mall and in particular Bo's coffee was the place to see filipinas go with imported guys in exchange for pesos. Now Robinsons has changed the planter boxes on the corner of Mango-Ramos from a flat granite top (where the pimps, viagra touts, street kids and semi-pros used to sit and offer services to passing foreigners. The new granite is peaked to prevent 'stand-by'. The mall has also stationed a new guard that walks between the employee entrance over to the fruit stall on Ramos. He is there to make sure everyone who is hanging around leaves the area. Notice the locals who sell puppies have moved from the Ramos side of the walk-over to the other side? The guy with the peanut cart is gone too. Now you know the reason why.

    Also the guard stationed inside Robinsons department store on the first level (between Bo's and Cafe de Paris) has been moved from inside the store to 20ft outside the door in the main portion of the mall. His job now is to watch shoppers who exit the store and to watch out for semi-pro and locals inside the mall who are not there to shop. Subtle changes indeed but it has forced the action away from Bo's. Yet whenever I walk past Bo's I shake my head at the half dozen or so desperate looking sexpats who continue to sit there and cast a line into an empty pond. I have seen the same guy with the same worried and sexually frustrated look for the past couple of months. He has balding jet black frizzy hair down in kind-of a mullet. He has thick black beard growth, dark eyes, no tan and always wears the same clothes. Black sneakers, black socks, black cargo shorts and a black t-shirt. The only thing that changes is the t-shirt. He hangs at both Cybergate and Fuente malls. Is that you Azil?

    Couple those factors with the stigma that's been attached to being seen at Bo's coffee inside Robinsons fuente and you know why the action has moved away from that spot. Geessus if you can't spot the semi-pros around the food court stop at the first table behind the lechon baboy store and infront of the grocery. Ask the old time expats to show you the semi-pros. After the laughter stops (5-10mins) they will be happy to point out the filipinas or call one over for you.

    WR,

    There is a morality policy that has been adopted by most of the schools in Cebu. If a filipina is seen by a school official wearing her school uniform while in the company of a foreigner who is not a blood or family relation. The filipina faces being expelled from school and might not be allowed to graduate. Some semi-pro former students have started to wear old uniforms around because they know it brings them more pesos from horny foreigners.

    This is the same morality policy that got a few Cebu students into trouble for posting bikini and smoking pics on FB last year.

    Hu, that's about every 'newb' mistake one can make. In the same vein, recently a gent wrote on the AC thread, saying he had walked the streets for hours each day and night, looking for fresh GFE. He stated he was uninterested in 'pro's. AC is not that kind of place, the snatch is mostly in the bars (pros). He, and Hu, have apparently went to Phils without spending a lot of time reading the Phils boards. In defense of Hu, the Cebu thread has been bare lately; not a lot of reports.

You fell for the illusion. You confess you are not a monger so I will cut you some slack. There are 3 or 4 Queensland hotels around Cebu City, they are the king of short-time stays. Many other smaller short time hotels around. Taxi drivers all know them. (Eurotel, SOGO, Prince Court, ect).

    FYI, many newbies to Cebu confuse Robinsons Mall with Robinsons Cybergate Mall. Both are located on Fuente circle. I watched a dozen or more newbs walk in or around Cybergate a few weeks ago. Some needed help loading a phone, some asked the guard where to get a netcafe when they just walked past it on the way inside. Some asked the guard where Bo's coffee was located, so clearly they were lost.

    I do however think you visited the right Robinsons. You missed my posts awhile back where I mentioned that most of the freelance action has moved down stairs to the food court area. The word has gotten out with locals about Bo's on the first floor being a spot for pickup girls. So next time make the rounds downstairs or go walk around on the upper floors and you might be surprised. But then again you seem too green to realize which filipinas are there to shop and socialize and which filipinas are there to be picked up.

    Ayala mall. There are freelance filipinas around Ayala. Most are high mileage, most are filipinas who are either former bargirls who can't work in a bar for various reasons or are current bargirls. They walk the mall during the day and work in the bar at night. Personally I avoid the high mileage filipinas and seek out the younger student semi-pros. Just be careful, if you go up to a filipina who is not there to meet guys you might get your ass in trouble. Also FYI there are 3 or 4 Bo's coffee locations in Ayala mall. The one most mentioned is on the second floor next to Watsons pharmacy, but again the girls who stand around at the railing are higher mileage filipinas. IMO the better time of day to go looking for mall freelancers would be in the late afternoon 3-6pm. Filipinas will sleep in late and if its hot outside most might wait until it cools off to go out hunting fat foreigner tummies to ride.

    Your impression that darker skinned girls are more likely to be working girls is bola. It's true somewhat in Thailand but in the Philippines it's not true. Filipinas that go with foreigners come in alot of colors.

    Mall Report

    I enjoyed reading the cebu forum while on holiday here in the Phils, some good stories although the malls and nightspots seemed a bit vague with mixed reports. So as I was bored this past Sunday with not much to do I thought I would check out the situation and write a report. I'm pretty rusty as I haven't done any mongering in 4 years but what the hell you only live once and I'll probably never be back to Cebu. My previous experience has been BBK, Pattaya, Dubai, Sinapore.

    I'm 35, tall, in good shape.

    At about 12. 30pm first stop was Robinsons Mall / Center, I read it is near all the nightspots and noticed some of them on the way past. I found some European guys in the coffee at the back on the ground floor, most of them alone. No one at Bo's out front. After a walk around I grabbed a computer at the internet cafe and spent an hour playing on the net and keeping an eye on anything going on in the coffee shop and outside. From what I could tell there was 0% with only regular shoppers. I was trying to find out on the net if the bars were open Sunday night? Decided to flag Robinsons and head to Ayala.

    Must have got to Ayala about 2pm. Went in past Bo's coffee (mentioned in forums a couple of times) where some European guys were hanging out. Had a good walk around for an hour. Noticed a few European guys walking around by themselves. Nothing out of the ordinary caught my eye, sure there was a lot of talent but I can't say I had any girls making any real eye contact except for a couple of girls inside one of the restaurants thru the safety of the glass. I didn't bother trying to chat up shop girls as I'm not after a girlfriend. A tall girl at one of the stalls was friendly when I talked to her as they all are. After I finished my shopping and a late lunch I decided to check out the terraces. I couldn't see anything happening at Bo's, and the coffee shop below had 3 European guys sitting at 3 different tables outside playing on their cell phones looking desperate. I did a lap and ended up at a coffee place on the ground floor far at one end semi under cover from the walkways above. A couple of European guys were sitting around but once again I witnessed 0% action although I did noticed a couple of darker skin Filipinos around. Correct me if I'm wrong but in Thailand the darker skin is normally a good sign of a working girl (as the poorer girls from the provinces generally have darker skin. I presume this is the same in Phil's?) Just before I got up to leave a European guy walked past by himself heading toward the entrance of the complex looking like he was on his way out. After I left the coffee place I walked the same way and noticed he was sitting chatting to a girl. This left me wondering if this was a pickup or not, I had the feeling it was a pickup but who knows. I decided to give it some time and check out the same place later on to see if I could get the desired result. I decided in the mean time to go see if I could find a place to get a back massage and kill some time. I spent about half an hour walking around trying to find a massage shop or find one of the mall-map kiosks that actually worked. When I walked past the tall girl at the stall mentioned previously she gave me a friendly look and a smile. With me thinking I have been walking around to long in here with no shopping to show for it. Then 5 minutes later (maybe about 4:30pm) randomly while I was walking along on the second floor in the middle of the mall a girl just approaches me from behind and starts a conversation, she said that she is a (funny enough) massage girl who works in one of the other malls but now she has finished work and would I like a massage. I decided just to go along and see where this took me so I said sure why not. She also told me to walk with her almost straight away so we didn't draw attention. Its quite hard to judge a girls looks when at such short notice but she had a lovely face and after she walked a head of me a couple of times I was very happy to judge her a 8/10, nice slim body good figure and about 5'5 with normal shoes. So while walking along we had a bit of a chit chat all the usual nonsense, I suggested we go into a coffee shop but that didn't seem to register. Then she asked were I was staying, I told her I wasn't staying in town (which I wasn't) to which she suggested we get a short time hotel for three hours 250 Pecos. (I didn't know they existed in Cebu even after I had read the forums). So Anyway I said sure lets go (thinking now this girl is definitely a pro but possible GFE). On the way out we walked past the stall girl I mentioned previously who was having a good laugh with her friends as I'm sure she knew what was going down. (the walk of shame in a mall is a new one for me)

    So to summarize Ayala, in my short experience. I would say it would be a pretty brave girl to approach a guy sitting at Bo's or the coffee shop under it. Its pretty much in full public view of all the terraces, and this one defiantly didn't want to be seen picking up in the mall. I think the far end away from the crowds and observers on the balcony's would be a better bet as a first try. Keep an eye out for girls with slightly darker skin. Experienced mongers please correct me if I'm wrong. Shop girls I didn't try but could be a possibility if your after a GF rather than a hooker.

    So we got to this short time hotel, I have no idea what it was called or where it was. The girl I'm with knew the lady there (pro pro pro) and quickly organized a room with supplied condom. Her personality definably changed once we got to the hotel, it was like we are at the hotel now I can stop being GFE. I have read similar reports on here and now know what you guys mean. This is different from all the Thai's I've had who generally keep their personality consistent. At this stage I had only agreed to a massage, so anyway she goes in to use the toilet and comes out in some pretty sexy underwear. I was kinda expecting we both shower but apparently they don't do that here. I asked how much the massage was and she said 500, to which I thought okay whatever this isn't going to be where it ends, agreed and stripped down to my underwear and let her go to work. After a whole 2 minutes she asked me to turn over and then proceeded to started rubbing my cock through my underwear and asked if I would like extra service. She took her bra off and let me rub her tits to help me make my decision, unfortunately she must have had tissues stuffed in her bra back at the mall because her tits were a disappointment. Not to worry however I'm more of a ass man and she had a great ass and figure. She then mentioned sex and when I asked how much she said 5000 Pecos, with me thinking geeze she must think I have no idea. Anyway I wasn't going to let her get away with that so offered her the going rate (replacing massage cost) which she accepted to my surprise with no further negotiation (a bad sign maybe ). Things started to go downhill pretty quickly from there. She was pretty intent on getting on with business by rubbing me hard despite my saying "what about the rest of my massage". Then I asked if I could play with her kitty to which she said "bleeding only sex condom etc". Unfortunately my last experience with a bleeding girl was a do anything German, the short of it was. Blood everywhere and it really turned me off doing that ever again. So at this point I was really put off. She was a little upset (probably thinking she wasn't going to get any money). I explained to her that she moved way to fast and it wasn't going to happen like this. At this point she decided it was a good time to finish my massage and spent a good 30 minutes on me after which I gave her a massage (I actually quite enjoy massaging a girl especially if they have a hot body) That regained some arousal and we finished by me sitting on her while she gave me a handjob. I did pay her, no tip or taxi money.

    In conclusion this was only one experience, but I wouldn't recommend Cebu malls for no strings sex unless you really have nothing else better to do, a GF maybe although you can find a GF by just being in the Philippines, using public transport and talking to people. I have to say this was worse than my worst experience in Thailand, at least they tell you they are bleeding before you decide to take them home!

    I was going to check it out but they were closed that day for some holiday.
    There are three PAGCOR casinos located in and around Cebu. One located on the 3rd floor Crown Regency Fuente, one in Waterfront Lahug, and another in Waterfront Mactan. I will assume you mean Waterfront Lahug.

    There is no BI office in Waterfront Lahug but there is a Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) office located on the second floor of the main lobby. This office deals only with foreigners or previous Filipino nationals who reside outside the Philippines and want to retire in the Philippines. The PRA office does not have anything to do with normal immigration issues and no regular BI services are offered at the office.

    The PRA is a PI government created entity that is under the control of the Board of Investments (BOI). At the PRA office anyone looking to retire in the Philippines can apply for a Special Residents Retiree's Visa (SRRV). This type of visa is a multiple entry visa issued by BI and SRRV visa holders have increased privileges such as;

    -Option of permanent residency

    -Multiple entry

    -Exempted from BI exit clearance and re-entry permits and annual report.

    -Exempted from import and customs duties and taxes for household personal goods up to $7000USD.

    -Exempted from travel tax and special study permit fees

    -Tax free remittance of annuities and pensions.

    SRRA visa holders also have access through the PRA to get assistance and advice when dealing with other PI Gov issues such as;

    -Obtaining alien employment permit. NBI clearance.

    -Tax exemption-extension certificates.

    -BIR Tax identification number

    -PI drivers license.

    I visited the PRA office in 2009 when I was looking at buying a condo in Cebu. They were helpful but there is a downside to obtaining a SRRV.

    -Applicants have to be 35+
    -Obtain valid medical and NBI clearances plus a police certificates from the current country of residence.

    -One time processing fee of 1400USD. Annual report fee (not disclosed)

    -Certificate of Retirees Deposit: -
    -1A-Without Pension-35-49yrs old 50000USD- 50yrs+ 20000USD.

    -1B-With Pension- 50yrs+ 10000USD.

    -Under the 'with pension' scheme the applicant can't engage in a business or be employed in the Philippines.

    -Minimum amount of monthly pension for single applicant- 800USD. Married applicant- 1000USD.

    The money is held 'in trust' in an authorized PI bank and can only be applied to approved investments inside the Philippines. These investments include;

    -Purchase of a condo.

    -Long term lease of house and lot (lease not shorter than 20yrs)

    -Purchase of a golf club or country club membership.

    If a foreigner was looking at buying a condo in the Philippines the SRRV can be a win-win visa, but keep in mind that if the value of the property drops below the minimum investment the government can demand you add additional funds. If you sell your condo your visa will be suspended within 30 days unless the proper investment level is manintained in trust at a PI bank.

    RK,

    Here is the news release from BI.

    http://immigration.gov.ph/index.php?...839&Itemid=103

    Some very interesting stories and news releases on the BI website, like the two Chinese nationals who faked BI entry and exit stamps to avoid paying extension fees.

This wholesale reform means it takes just as long to process the application-extension as the fixer will take. Gone are the days when long lines exist and the fixers walk to the front of the line and have instant access to the officials to get their papers processed first.
