After nearly 20 years in this country, I have watched with so much sorrow the decline in morality and increase in materialism of the population. The truth of the matter is that the whole society is driven by one thing, money! They want as much as they can get as quickly as they can get it because they believe they cannot rely on anybody else. Nobody does any favors unless there is direct monetary benefit involved.

Therefore, I am not surprised at all that this attitude is being reflected in the KTV pricing in CP. It is also reflected in sauna pricing. SEAJ and I were walking into the Swan Lake,"A" block this week and he asked me if I remembered his favorite BBS / KTV there before they remodeled the building. It was 1/3/5! First, KTVs started with the different price levels. For the longest time, it was 2/5/8 standard for every girl regardless of what she looked like or how tall she was. 25K for LT? Are you f-king nuts? This is ridiculous.

Soon, this will hit the BBS prices like it did in the past to the current rate of 150-250 RMB. I support BSD's initiative to boycott but I do not believe it will work. We tried when BBS pricing went up. The mommys' agreed intitially for regular customers but soon refused to take us there if we did not agree at 250 RMB ST in advance.

I am afraid we just have to accept the reality that China has become very affluent and materialistic. There are guys out there that are willing to pay and don't give a shit about the price. In fact, they get more face by paying more. As long as we are competing with this mentality, we can never win.

IMHO, we better start looking for greener pastures.

If you are a foreigner, they think that you have a large penis. Thus many girls are scared you will break them in half. Thus they filter out the girls that are willing to be with a foreigner and the ones that refuse to. That's why you have limitations of who you can choose from. In the past, all girls who were picked had to fuck you regardless. However, times have changed. It's getting harder to recruit talent in DG so they have to concede to the girl's needs and requests in order to maintain high employee retention.

No the prices of the girls are up by 50 rmb compared to last may. It's a relatively small increase as Mei Bao is well known to do volume business thus they keep their rates relatively low in comparison to other places like- yihao, eurasia, hui hua, miraton, which are outrageously expensive for girls that are similar if even a bit worse in the looks department compared to meibao.

So 50 RMB increase. No big deal. Don't sweat the small stuff. It's the KTV pricing increases that are the biggest headaches in town.

Yes. The Eurasia price hikes are in. Not sure about the model swimsuit or super models though. I saw none at the time, early April. I do see, however, that the market is not digesting these price hikes well as there were a lot, I mean a lot of girls standing around at 7:15 pm, when the flower street is supposed to be pretty empty. What I have been finding at Yihao and Eurasia in early April was higher prices, uglier girls, but not too many takers. With the canton fair raging on right now, the flood of mongers will lend support to the CP prices like QE to the US stock market. It remains to be seen, however, whether these prices will stick.

Hotels have just one chance of "making it" when they first open, to attract girls and customer at the same time. If they raise the prices just right and attract enough pretty birds and the customers will follow, and then more pretty girls. A failed open act will take years to recover, if ever. BSD may recall taking us to Xiang Yin when it first opened years ago and I have never been back or have heard anyone talking about going there ever since. And I wonder whether that place is still in business.

While one hates the prices hikes that goes with every additional hotel opening up, one must recognize that CP is really a free market and supply and demand dictates things. With every new hotel opening up, the market becomes more fragmented and more "efficient" so it is not up to individual hotel owners anymore. If I were a hotel owner, it would be my wet dream to have the prices go back to 2-5-8 and a flood of mongers filling all my rooms.

But that is not going to happen. We see the hotel room rates staying pretty much the same for the last 5-6 years, so are the drink prices and KTV room minimum charges. I suspect many of the Hui Mei Tian Lun rooms will remain empty after the canton fair. As to the girls, the price categories will pretty much remain at their elevated heights but girls have been known to move themselves down to a lower category when they couldn't obtain a sitting at the higher category. I have seen it happen a few times before but the general uptrend is here to stay unless the big picture changes. So, let us hold hands and pray together:

Heard that EuroAsia has upped their prices starting 1st April to below :-

4th Floor. 3,8. 12 from 3, 7.10.

3rd Floor. 4,10, 15 from 4, 10, 12.

2nd Floor. 5,15, 20 (Model)

2nd Floor. 6,16, 22 (Model Swimsuit)

2nd Floor. 7,19, 26 (Super Model)

Can anyone confirm? Man these prices are outrageous! Some of the 4th floor porkchops cannot even compare with the BBS girls which can be had for rmb 150-200. Just because there is a so called 6 star new Tian Lun hotel opening the KTV's are jacking up their prices in the hope of retaining the working girls. Can't even imagine whats the price Prince hotel and the new hotel sitting fees will be.

I am boycotting these so called high class hotels which thinks we are carrot heads thinking with our dicks. If they don't have enough business, the girls will not earn enough and they will naturally run back to the other places which has customers.

I think your attitude was a bit cold and I kind of understand from the girls point of view. She spent her little money time with this guy and when it was time to go to the hotel for some bigger money time he folded. So she was upset that her 1100 night turned out to be a 300 night and maybe, just maybe (but I kind of doubt it) , she really wanted to fxxk. I guess I really don't understand the guys taking a girl who does not want to go out, assuming they want a take out. I always specify up front that I want the girl to go out, back to the hotel and almost always for LT, and have never been turned down. I was not able to make that clear in CP as I was with BSD, but still, every girl I picked, in four KTV's, was OK with going out. Some day I would like to meet him and other members of the forum-I'm sure they could teach this "old Guy" a few new tricks.

Given your seniority I and others will respect your views, however you seem new to CP and as Joe mentioned, wise for newcomers to manage expectations and follow the lead of CP veterans. Hope you continue to enjoy it while it lasts.

I concur with BSD, even though I've not gone to CP for a while now due to busy work schedules. However BSD is going to game the system, I'm on and I'll support. Just don't ask me to sign a petition or something to that effect. Heh.

I go to Zhuhai on an occasional basis for work, prices used to skyrocket till the 500-600s range till Macau and CP started drawing all the girls (and customers) away. Now after major crackdowns, and after all the customers decided that a short walk over to Macau is a much better spend for the money, prices for streetwalkers are now back in the 300s range and they now aim to please. Deflation DOES and CAN happen.

As most of you have read in the forum lately, WG prices are sky-rocketing throughout CP and it is mainly due to the tactics of the new hotel (Hui Mei Tian Lun. HMTL) trying to lure girls to work there. The pricing for their girls are 3-8-12; 4-10-16; 5-15-20; and 6-18-25. Yesterday was my second time taking customers there and it is not good. Yet! There were probably less than 100 girls that were in the 3 category, about 100 girls in the 4 category, about 60 in the 5 category, and 1 in the 6 category. I saw many girls I recognized that have worked at other KTVs, a girl that was at Yihao at the 3-6-1 category, and is now a 3-8-12 at HMTL, another one from Fuhao that was a 3-7-11 is now a 4-10-16, another one from Mayflower that was a 3-6-1 is now a 5-15-20, is this ridiculous or what? For the newbies coming here, they have no clue but for the guys that are regulars (I consider guys that comes once or twice a year a regular) , is very disheartening to see that prices has absolutely gone out of whack! The sad part about it is that people just complains but does nothing about it and continues to sit multiple girls, allow girls to leave early, tipping for mediocre or outright poor service, is just ludicrous. I got the second biggest room in HMTL last night and just the damn room fee was a whopping 868RMB plus 10% service fee. Ridiculous! Also 4 DJs in the room? Ridiculous! And the manager said they have a very small allowance on complementary food and alcohol. Crazy!

Unfortunately, HMTL's tactic of alluring the girls to the new hotel has caused a domino affect in CP, as of April 1st, Fuhao said again changed the WG pricing from 3-6-9 (no change).3-6-1 to 3-7-11, 3-7-11 to 4-8-12, 4-10-15 to 5-12-18. OK. A very important suggestion! As you handle many newbies to CP and with your area of expertise, you have to take the responsibility to explain to them the "deal", what to expect, what to pay, how to handle, how to treat the girl, etc, etc. If you don't do your job, and make things clear, then the newbie is going to just throw the dollars at it and nothing will be accomplished! BUT, the newbie's will still be happy with the price and the mediocre service they got because they don't know any better, and whatever they got was / is better than they get on their home turf. If you don't explain to them, and even your,"regulars", what to expect and demand, you are just perpetrating the situation of prices up and quality down. Just remember demand and supply! I do speak from experience and know that a more proactive approach will help-the "let's wait and see" approach is counter productive.

The prices and attitudes of these KTV / WG is just getting pretty outrageous. The club owners are not going to roll back prices nor demand these gals gives better service. The prices and attitude of yesteryear are gone. I spend very little going out with clients / friends to DG / CP these days. I rather spend time with some of these sex starved er nais / mistress in a hotel suite for the evening. Their attitudes are great and the gifts they buy me are pretty outrageous. Giving them some tlc goes a long way for me. The pleasure I receive back is priceless and the evening cost me zero.

The scenes and experience of yesteryear is gone on the coast. You may still be able to find good service and attitude of the WG as you go west into the interior.
