I'm planning first trip to Jakarta. I would appreciate a bit of advice.

1) Which of the Starwood Hotels (Keraton at The Plaza, Le Méridien) is GF friendly? .

Le Méridien definitely is girl friendly. I haven't been there in two years but 30 Club (Tiga Puluh) in the downstairs at Le Meridien was good to me. I don't know about other hunting grounds. Red Square seems to be a draw for young expats. Google up clubs Jarkarta Indonesia and look for the "Best Nightlife" link.

You have no worries at all at Le Meridien. They won't even look at you. Some old hags will even be sitting in the bar for you all night long. Take a girl from the club downstairs and head upstairs to your room (get a room on the club tower side is easier ). Is there anywher in Jakarta that isn't girl firendly? I never found one that wasnt.

Maybe you should also read this thread here so you must not give me your "usefull hint". There was a guy wich checked out the Blok M area in the last days. So I'm interested in latest (!) tipps.

It is not somewhere that many people know about. I will help you with some information about this place on condition you never repeat.

Top Gun will be your safest address but you must know the current code for entry. Last week it was stamping your foot upon entering first doorway. Codes for next 30 days are as follows.

24/31 April. Must carry sheet of A4 paper upon entry.

1/8May Turn in circle after door closes after entering.

9/16 May, You must state to doorman the. Special codewords "Ada Wareea"

16 May onwards is TBA.

it is not somewhere that many people know about. i will help you with some information about this place on condition you never repeat.

firstly blok m has recently been heavily targetted by the sharia police, now don't be alarmed, that doesn't mean you can't indulge yourself, but it is important to learn the system of signals that is employed there to fool these puritanical nutcases.

you should ony arrive by silver bird taxi, this alone will confirm your status and lets them know you are not to be trifled with.

upon exiting the taxi you should make the first signal. this is a discreet rep001ch around your testicular area. not too overt but by doing this you will signal to all watching the "i need a woman" signal. just a sly scratch as if you were at your mother in law's garden party. the indonesians accumulated around the place may not acknowledge you but they will have noticed. don't be fooled by the nonchalance.

once inside it is important not to confuse the girls who will be smiling at you with the sharia police. this force is very sophisticated in it's modus operandi and they use decoy girls regularly to entrap punters. your best path is to look for the unsmiling girls that are playing it cool. sidle up to them and once again give the "i need a woman" signal. but this time do it in a much more pronounced way, almost exaggerating the action. this should confirm you as a bona fide isg member and i am certain from that point that you will be looked after. isg members automatically get the 3rd hole option as long as you have clearly identified yourself with the secret signals.

There are so many hot clubs in town, but not a lot where you will be able to easily pick up a chick for a threesome. Maybe try CJ's at the Hotel Mulia. If you are wanting to take a girl from there, they are about the same price as BATS girls.

Great summary Smoothy, however I disagree about X2 and other young crowds discos as a great pick up points, most of the crowd is close groups of indo Chinese, I've been mostly to X2 and couldn't find girls approachable, few ugly hookers there but then better to go to CJ and BATS, every time I go to X2 I see some handsome good looking guys trying to get girls with no success. I prefer arabic disco as it is cheaper and you can find ok looking girls, price bet 500 to 1 juta.

Was in BATs on 3 nights ago and last night. I was quite impressed at how friendly and fun the girls are even though I am not young or good looking. Both times, danced, chatted and laughed with the girls. I find Jakarta more relaxed and fun than other cities in Asia. At BATs though, the pricing is pretty firm. After having good rapport with one girl, I asked her about 500K for the night which she turned down cold. I did not want to go much higher cause I had been spoiled by Blok M. In the end, took back a girl for 800K who was very accomodating and did everything with a great attitude. I was expecting less and got more than anticipated. But, in the end, being a cheap-skate, I think I still prefer Blok M. I have been to X2 and ran out of there as it is so plastic and ostentatious. Unless you are young, rich, and good looking, don't waste your time with these high end discos.
