Of course it does not mean it is clean, far from me to say that.

But taking into account the poor cleaning level you have in BKK streets (your description applies to nearly every where in SEA) I was expecting lots of things flaoting, including. Rats!

To cross the street I took courage and went into the water to go back to the hotel. There was no way to bypass that, anywhere.

You need to take a bit of courage, not have wounds in your lower areas of the legs and. Be a bit luck. Then take a deep shower.

I did this with flip flops: at the end of the day they do not protect you much less than shoes as water goes in anyhow. Water that is potentially full of bacteria, clear or not it is.

It is like with Songkran: either you stay confined in your hotel room or be ready to get wet any minute.
Get a grip man. It's only water. I've swum in worse and somehow survived. Rats are just small mammals, and when they are dead and drowned no more of a health hazard than any other rotting trash.

People tend to way overestimate the rain part of raining season. I have been in September and have had many friend that went in September too. They rain season does not mean that it rains all the time. Its just the part of the season that they have any rain!

I was there last September and I experienced 3-4 hours of rain for one day out of 7 days.

The upside is that the prices are better for everything. The girls are still bountiful and with less guys there you have it even easier then in high season.

This year I will go in August but I had originally booked my trip for September because I like it then and I only moved because work dictated it.

So my advice is do not change your plans. You will have a great time in September!

Harold wrote The indian fella was in dubble mind so he saw dubble diaphrams. Make cents to me. LOL.

I do not know the spelling of Double. I am not male gynaeoclogist and used the word diaphragm. Diaphragm is used inside for contraception. Externally the contraceptive barriers are condoms and female has got female condoms. It can be used both for anal and vaginal protection. I am providing link http://www.uhs.umich.edu/contracepti...-condom-facts.

A liitle bit aberration can occur in reporting. The room was having 5 watt bulb light and what it looked to me that she had protection for both places.

I did not write my last posting. Next day I wasted time to find out bell services and got booked a seat for airport directly. I donot remeber exactly how much but it was very cheap as compared to taxi which forum members go on recommending, advertising. I did go to famous massage center of soi 11 next to paradise massage. Seen the girl who appeared in you tube.

Another mistake I made in my reports was in chinatown the name of soapy was cleopetra which is close to railway station and without any signboard in english.

Will I go to Thailand again. I do not know. I have 9 telephone contacts and telephoned 5 of them. They could recollect. I will not be that lost as it was my first visit. I will, if I come, will inform before coming and will like to see all those whose language is dubble / mind / LOL / pig.

Another of my observation is that thai talent is more outside the Thailand. The only problem is there outside Thailand the scope is for very short time.

Now question is membership to forum. That is very small amount. But will it benefit me? Of course there will be knowledgable members who will honestly guide me.

I have not attached any photo or tele number as I found ethically not sound

My idea was to inform the visitors about Thailand and not writing pornography book.

Hehe, here's a short story from a friend of mine. He likes to tell it over and over, so it stuck, finally I can put it to a good use. Phuket ages ago, after days of downpours, they sat together when something (I can't tell exactly what it was) stimulates one of the guys. In a rush he crosses the road looking for what looked so sexy to him, little he knew there was an open manhole below his steps. He is all-in in the water, surrounded by floating turds (according to my friend's narration).

As far as I know he is still alive paying taxes in our fucked-up country today.

    How I played it

In Pattaya for a little distraction before moving to something more adventurous.

I wasn't much curious about anythign anymore, so played it safe. First, checked in at the "Champ apartments" in central Pattaya. Quiet small building, far away from any busy street and bullshit. 500 Bt per day, and they will do their best to make you happy. No English spoken.

Second, I ventured to the discos at late night with mixed luck before meeting Ms. I. Pictured below. The first feeling is all what matters to me, as if it was a casual pickup. Without being a great beauty, she is moons better than the average, with a quiet, accomodating attitude that proved true thought all the nights we've been together. Some nights after her bar shift, she would call me asking if she could come over, sometime she would just come to the building door (just to find it closed when had no phone to call me.) But she has a brand new Toyota with which she took me to dinner once. Damage. 1500 per night / day whatever it is. I have skipped some days when it did not seemed necessary. Staying with her I've seen all my past life with the former Thai GF coming back, including the declaration of (almost) love at 4 days, the catfight at the 5th days, the Temple visit, etc, etc.

Anyway. In between this monogamous paid relationship I've also had to pleasure to meet Skogis, and we shared a gigantic Thai fish dinner. Too bad he had to leave soon, so we couln't party for real.

I've gained a little love for this crazy city, but I'm moving on tomorrow for a change.

There is a fine line between what is objectively good (or "fun") , and what is instead purely subjective matter, or just like art does at time, elevates misery to gloom. The story you posted reflects that conondrum, what is truly beautiful? That which is beautiful, or thay you just like?

There was a group of Finnish tourists staying at the hotel. One was a man on the crutches who was always drunk. No problem. But he had come with a girfriend from Finland, a common street hoe from Kemi, who soon began favoring locals. This left the boyfriend with his sap rising. One day he tried to get physical with a housekeeper, a straitlaced Muslim lady. That's when the owner came knocking, knowing I knew Finnish and was reasonably sober.

There were all kinds of additional developments in the next few days. At the end the hotel owner said to me: "What a pity, such a young man. He spent a lot of money to come all the way here and had no fun."

I responded: "What makes you think so? He seems to be having a wonderful time."

To Pekkakoo: Not to worry, mate. You are having fun too. You may not remember much but you get drunk and full-serviced on a regular basis. Lots of us envy you.

Good looking out Evil. Appreciate the feedback. When I was in Bangkok, it seemed to thin out past 1am. Seems like Pattaya might be a little different.

But it wasn't as bad as the flooding on Sept. 11, 2011, around 2nd Road and Pattaya Tai, when I was at times wading in water that was nearly up to my waist and it took five hours to do a 15-minute walk. The water along LK Metro / Soi Bukhao wasn't anywhere near as deep as it had been in 2011 on 2nd Road / Pattaya Tai, nor was it moving nearly as fast. Best advice. When a heavy downpour begins at night, either head for your hotel ASAP or wait it out, all night if necessary, in a bar or short-time hotel. Don't risk walking any distance through flood water. There's a very thin line between a dream vacation and the nightmare of a lifetime.

No. Head to the temple on the South Pattaya Road almost opposite the school close to the traffic lights.

Also can I rent a place in VT6 for just one week?
September is actually the second-wettest month in Pattaya, according to the charts. An average of 8" of rain for the month, with the skies opening on 17 days out of 30. It's topped only by October with 10" of precipitation and 18 rain days. Of course, it can vary from year to year, but the very worst flooding I've seen in Pattaya occurred on Sept 11, 2011. Others have said it was even worse than that in September and October of 2007.

Yes, you can rent a VT6 condo for a week. Several agencies handle short-term VT6 rentals. Just do a Google search for VT6 and the names will pop up. VTSIX is one and Dancewatchers is another.

Pack a pair of substantial water-resistant shoes. You don't want to be tramping through flood water in sandals.
