pattaya is a beach town along the cost of thailand it's about an hour and a half to two hour drive south of bangkok. pattaya is nana plaza on steroids.

getting there:

there are a variety of taxi services that provide transportation and many taxi drivers that you meet in the nana district in bangkok will also drive you there. most if not all hotels and guest houses in pattaya can also arrange transportation for you. there is also a local bus service that runs between bangkok and pattaya. but the best transportation service in my opinion and the one that i will always use in the future is mr. t taxi service 1000 bhat bangkok to pattaya and 900 bhat pattaya to bangkok airport. i arranged for them to pick me up at my hotel in bangkok and there was no extra charge.

pattaya:

pattaya is a city of sex there really is no other way to describe it, everything about pattaya is geared towards sex, it is an entire city built around sex. the monger area is quite large but walkable. the monger area encompassed far more than i traveled but for me i ranged from soi 6 to walking street and from soi buakhao to beach road with soi diana soi 7 and 8 and lk metro and second street in between. getting around in pattaya is quite easy, i personally walked everywhere when i was by myself but there are bhat busses that run in a rectangle along second street going past soi 6 and then coming back on beach road up to the beginning of walking street and then they turn back up to second st. price should be 10 bhat to ride, just stand on the side of the road when they pass they will slow down to see if you want to jump on. just simply jump on and when the bus gets to where you want to get off there is a little buzzer on the roof, ring it and the driver will stop, there are no designated stops or pickups, and they just pull over when they see someone standing on the side of the road and stop when someone rings the buzzer. be careful when paying on more than one occasion the driver tried giving me less than the correct change and often when i seen bhat busses stopped along the side of the road with no passengers the drivers would try to quote me ridicules prices, if they think you are inexperienced they will try to take advantage of you. there are also motor concha drivers especially near walking street, these are guys on little mini bikes who will give you a ride, they were charging me 50 bhat per passenger so for you and your bar fine it will be 100 bhat, had a couple try to quote me some ridicules price after they dropped us off, when this happened i just handed them 100 bhat and shook my head and walked away. if they think you are a newbie and don't know better they will try to take advantage of you. getting around in pattaya should not be a problem the whole thing is just one big rectangle, soi 6 to walking street and soi bukhaw to beach road, you can walk to where you want to go, i always did or you can take a bhat bus or moto conch.

gogo bars:

gogo bars are rep001tered throughout pattaya but mainly concentrated on walking street and the side streets that jut off of walking street and along lk metro. personally i found the gogos on lk metro to be a litte higher in price than the ones on walking street. but quality in my opinion is the same. there are a few on walking street that catered more to the asian mongers and in these gogos the girls did not pay much attention to me or my wing man who was also caucasian. there are, however, a number of gogo bars where the girls are very attentive and a great deal of fun, windmill off of walking street comes to mind. gogo bars can be a lot of fun and in many of them the girls get naked and put on quite a good show going down on each other and i noticed in a few the customers were going down on them as well. keep in mind the goal of the gogo bars both here and in bangkok is to separate you from your money so you will be expected to purchase a drink and momason or a waitress will try to get you interested in taking a girl, or a girl will just come up to you, the goal is for you buy her a lady drink or more. once you purchase her a drink however your hands are free to roam and explore her crevices often her hands will roam as well exploring your mr. happy. again windmill gogo off of walking street comes to mind.

beer bars:

these places are everywhere in pattaya, along soi diana, in lk metro along, beach road, along soi 7 and soi 8. these bar establishment have girls sitting inside the bar or on the outside where the customers are, all of these girls are available for bar fining and these places can be quite fun as well, bar fines and girl prices are generally much cheaper than gogo bars however because these places are outdoors there's no explicit floor show and once you buy a girl a drink you and her cannot be as free with your hands as in a gogo bar. these places also exist to separate you from your money and the girls will try to get you to buy them a drink or more before you bar fine them.

walking street:

walking street is about a mile or so long and just as the name implies it is a street where you walk, it begins where beach road ends and runs for about a mile. the best part of walking street is at the beginning where it meets beach road towards the other end of walking street it becomes much narrower and not as lively the other end is also more the russian tourist section. at the beginning of walking street you will find beer bars gogo bars and night clubs, you will also find freelancers along walking street as well, there are side streets that jut off of walking street where you will find more beer bars and gogo bars.

beach road:

just as the name implies this is the road that runs along the beach, you will find tourist here along the beach thai families enjoying the beach, and freelancers, only a few during the day but enough if you need one. at night the place is literally lined up with freelancers. the quality can be quite low but i have never failed to find a diamond in the ruff here, you will find women here that will match anything you find in a gogo bar but there numbers are few. the one thing that struck me about beach road is the number of rats running around both day and night, sometimes i think there were as many rats as there were people, they would hang out in groups of three or four and they had no fear of running between people.

lk metro:

this street runs from soi diana turns the corner and goes up to lk bukhow, here you will find gogo bars beer gardens and guest houses which also have girls available you will also find devils den here as well.

discos:

you will find discos along walking street where freelancers are available. many of the discos do not get going until late at night and run until the early morning. the girls are not as aggressive here and often they look like girls in any none p4p disco they will not approach you or give you the look, you will have to approach them.

soi six:

i love that place, soi six runs from beach road up to second street and is a street with short time bars one after the other on both sides of the street. all of the girls sit outside in front of their bar so you can walk up and down the street until you find the one you like and then take her up. the girls will often call out to you or even try to grab you as you walk by. once you choose a girl you take her inside and up to her room, many of the girls actually live there so the rooms are pretty good. there are some very attractive women available in my opinion and you will find women here who will rival anything you can find in the gogo bars.

massage parlors:

you will find these establishment rep001tered throughout pattaya some are just obvious working girl houses claiming to be massage parlors some look a little more legitimate with a glass window in the front and easy chairs with stools for massages. the girls all sit out front waiting for customers so you can simply walk by and pick the one you like. the obvious working girl house message parlors usually have a line of massage tables each on separated by curtains or just a line of mattresses on the floor separated by curtains. for the more legitimate ones you will have to pick the girl and then ask for a oily massage in the back. then once she starts the oily massage you come to a deal with her.

blow job bars:

i only visited one blow job bar while i was there, bliss lounge off of soi bukhow, the place reminded me a great deal of [CodeWord900] in bangkok, the girls sit out front you chose the one you want go inside pay the attendant go upstairs to one of the rooms get undressed sit back in the easy chair the girl gets on her knees and goes to work, price is 700 bhat. lick bar on soi six is another place where you can go for blow jobs but you can't be shy, you are basically in the bar separated from everyone else by only a few flimsy beads price is 800bhat for just a blow job in the bar.

thai women:

i found the women in pattaya to be quite attractive and very good at sex. thai girls love to fuck and they fuck really, really good. bbbj, daty and dfk were standard with every girl i had from no matter what venue. personally i thought the best looking women were in the discos, followed by the gogo bars and then the beer gardens. however that being said you can also find some freelancers along walking street that match anything you can find in either the discos or a gogo bar, there are women on soi six that will match anything you can find in the disco or gogo bars and you will even find a few freelancers along beach road that will do the same. there are also some diamonds to be had in the beer gardens as well.

prices:

many women in the disco will ask for 2000 bhat or more some will go for as little as 1000 depending upon the time of night and if she is attracted to you or not. i found gogo bar prices to be all over the board and often quite confusing. unlike in bangkok where all the bars seemed to have a standard in pattaya the prices can range, some were asking for 600 bar fine some were all the way up to 1500 bar fine, the bar fines seemed to change in many bars depending upon what time of night it was and often the bar fine was different for different girls, it was often confusing as the bar fine for a particular girl was different than another girl and then after a certain time they would change. generally i found the bar fines to be a little bit more on lk metro gogos than the walking street gogos. short time prices were anywhere from 1500 to 3000 depending upon the girl and the establishment even here however the prices would change depending upon what time of night it was. in general however when bar fines where high the girl was charging less and when bar fines were lower the girl was charging more.

beer gardens were much cheaper and they all seemed to have a standard set price no matter where you went. bar fine was 300 and short time was 1000 long time 1500. freelancers along walking street were asking for 1000 short time and beach road girls were asking for 500 to 700 depending upon how attractive the girl was, some were even quoting me 200. massage parlor girls were asking 200 or 300 bhat for massage and 1000 for sex. often you could tell them you don't want the massage just the sex for 1000. bliss lounge charged 700 for a blow job and a blow job only in the bar at lick bar was 800.

soi six prices were ethier 700 to 1000 to the girl and 300 for the room.

exchanging money:

everything works in thai bhat so you will have to exchange your money. i used the money exchangers that run along soi diana but there are many exchange booths all over pattaya and they will not be hard to find. all the ones i used in pattaya gave me good exchange rates some were a little better than others so i would simply walk around until i found one that gave me the best rate.

hotels:

there are a variety of hotels and guest houses all over pattaya many of the guest houses all have signs out front stating room for rent. finding a place to stay within your budget will not be a problem. one monger i met said he never books until he gets there, he just arrives and check around at the guest houses until he finds one he likes with the right location and at the right price. the guest house i stayed at was on lk metro called 3som bar and guest house, decent place good location great cheap as dirt price and it had great wifi. almost every guest house doubles as a beer bar and they all have girls available on premise.

language:

communication was never a problem, english has to be the second language in thailand every thai i encountered could speak english. every girl i had could speak decent to great english.

lady boys:

yes they are there unfortunately, there are a few lady boy gogos on walking street a lady boy beer garden on soi bukhaw and i noticed some of the beer gardens would have a few lady boys working in them as well. there are also lady boy freelancers along soi bukhaw, walking street and beach road. personally 90% of the time i could tell who was a lady boy and who was not and 90% of the time they will be honest with you when asked if they are a lady boy. they were not overly aggressive but i did find that there are a few who will lie through their teeth about being a lady boy even when they know you want a women.

final thoughts:

pattaya is probably the meca of mongering it is what all other places strive to be like. it is the standard that every other p4p monger location in the world should be judged by. it is literally a city of sex. sex is available everywhere. i found many of the thai women to be hot, attractive and sweet. i found that they love sex they love to fuck and they are very, very, very, good at fucking. prices are a little higher than i would of liked but hopefully that will change. before i went to thailand i was always told the women are better looking in bangkok than in pattaya but prices are cheaper in pattaya than in bangkok. from my experience and in my opinion on average the women were better looking in pattaya than in bangkok and with the exception of beach road and soi six prices were a little higher in pattaya than in bangkok, especially in the gogo bars.

Are any punters contemplating visiting Pattaya becoming concerned by all these negative reports lately? The barrage of news about high bar-fines, outrages girl fees, and overall poor service is very off-putting. Hope it's not true!

I must say on all of the pages on ISG, the Pattaya thread seems the most divorced from reality. Some gogo bars do have steep bar-fines but if that puts anyone off, don't go to Walking Street (or do your research and find out which bars are the ones to avoid). If a girl quote high, negotiate. It's also worth bearing in mind that Pattaya is beer-bar capital of the world where lots of lovely girls can be found for cheap prices and yet you only ever seem to read about gogo bars on here for some reason.

Anyone contemplating a trip to Pattaya should go. As Wonderer says, the sheer volume of girls is spectacular, whether you like gogo bars, beer bars, massage parlours, freelance discos or the sleaze of Soi 6 and Beach Road. If you're interested, I posted a very positive week-long diary of Pattaya on this thread about a month ago I think. I really enjoyed the place and you only have to see the number of visitors (and the fact that people go back year after year) to see that plenty of other people feel the same way.

This is a good point. I think the deluge of regular tourists on Walking Street is turning some bars in to rip-off joints. I got quoted a bar-fine of 1000 baht in some places. I bar-fined a girl from one place who amusingly pulled a huge wad of notes out of her bra when she got unchanged. When I asked her about it she told me she usually gets at least 15 lady-drinks a night. You only need to do the maths to realise that popular girls don't need to go with customers.

It's worth noting however that some bars are more customer-orientated, even on Walking Street. Surprisingly one of those was Baby Dolls. It's Japanese-owned I believe and has some pretty girls so I expected high prices but their bar-fine system has some common sense applied to it. Short-time is 600 baht and long-time 800 but ALL bar-fines drop to 300 baht after 1.30am for every girl. I think more bars should follow suit.

You are right, Zauberfee. This is a trend that actually started already a few years ago. In some bars, it is obvious that the girls are not interested to go out and try to squeeze as many lady drinks out of the customers as they can. However, our reaction should be the same: we don't go to these bars anymore. Money talks. In all areas. Perhaps we could start informing each other about such bars, where girls are not motivated anymore to go out with customers. It might have little effect overall, but at least it helps our ISG community. I think of a ranking of the bars by "motivation degree", perhaps on a scale from 1 to 10. Of course, this will always be subjective and depends also on us as individuals as well as on the individual girls. But it could give at least some idea.

Based on my current visit in Pattaya, I will try to do some research on this and report.

My GF who is a professional researcher (now doing her PhD) told me that because of the general increase in wages in Thailand, less "poor" Thai girls feel the need to join the ranks of the bar-girls and a-gogo-girls. Their places have been taken over by (mainly) Lao and (to a lesser extent) Khmer girls. To the uninitiated, Lao girls can easily pose as Isaan girls. Perhaps this influx of foreign girls explains the drop in service levels? Could it be that they are more mercenary and money-wise than their Isaan sisters?

you're entirely right. again, when i was saying that, i wasn't complaining about it. i was trying to give the essence of what dd is about and what new mongers like me should expect to get when going their for their first time. my post was more in a way to make first timer understand that they should take the lead over what's going to happen at dd otherwise, they'll get the same "routine" as others which might be disappointing if you're not prepared for it. i'm not blaming anyone, i had a good session. i'm new, young and inexperienced but i'm learning it the "hard but in fact very pleasant" way.

thanks for the reports. in your bangkok report you said that you would stay in pattaya 4 days if you liked it. after you experienced pattaya you say that 2 days were enough for you. from your reports i gather you were in bangkok alone as well, doing the same mongering exercises you were doing in pattaya. so how is it that you feel more comfortable doing the same thing in one place as opposed to the other? what makes you choose bangkok over pattaya?

good point, first of all, bangkok is a city i know a bit more than pattaya, i've been here before a few times so i'm used to the streets, skytrain, prices, restaurants, and so forth. as a city, i find it less messier, better organized than pattaya and therefore felt more comfortable. also, on my first day in bangkok, i had a great session with wan wan from mango. the following day i went to pattaya and didn't really liked the session i had at honey2. in terms of gogobars, pattaya seems to be the place to be, everything is very concentrate and you've got tons of gogobars but as i said previously, i'm not a huge fan of gogobars when being alone therefore i'd rather have an outcall like wan wan at my hotel in bangkok, then going to a movie at mbk than just staying all by myself with a beer in a gogobar in a city like pattaya that i don't really know.

again, i'm sure that if i had been with some other people i would have seen it differently. i don't know if my way to see things make sense to you but this is how i see it.

to resume, bangkok i had a very good session (outcall) with wan wan + a girl from annie's last year versus pattaya where i didn't know the city, didn't really went to gogobars, had a bad session at honey 2 and an average session at dd. also, i felt much more "harassed" at pattaya than in bangkok (because gogobars are more concentrate in pattaya i guess).

my bj session at [CodeWord900] in bangkok and at bliss lounge in pattaya were similar so for bjs both cities were fine.

right now, i prefer bangkok, but might try pattaya again with friends in the future.

This is why I like to schedule an appointment at DD. They open at 1pm so you can either stop by or call. DD takes incall appointments up to starting the session at midnight. Of course you can also schedule an outcall appointment to your hotel at any point during the day (including overnight.)

Yes this is often reported. It is up to you to break them of their routine if you choose to. It is natural to be somewhat intimidated in this type of situation, so I think they just take the lead accordingly. It is also helpful to talk to them before the session starts and tell them what you are looking to do.

Of course, as being a bit inimidated I thought, with their experiences, they would know what usually people do / like (they actually did) and I didn't had any "specific requests" so their them taking the leads seemed fine to me.

Take it from long time monger. A once in a lifetime experience only happens by definition once in a lifetime. High expectations on a single session can be difficult to meet. Take it as it comes and it's all good. Most anyone reading your report would have traded places with you in a heartbeat.

I'm well aware of that, It was, overall, a good session and I'm not complaining about it, I'm just trying to give an essence of what, new monger like me, should expect when going to DD.
