Those are not exclusive of Sosua, there are plenty of "Western Union Boyfriends" in the Philippines too, and in every other country were we travel for fun. Most of us travel to get what we can't get at home (I rather would say "we are too shy to get at home") , and when we encounter the "receptivity" of the ladies out there, many of us "board" the deception train thinking that the hoes really fell for us, and then we do the "normal thing", start sending money to keep them away from the bar scene. In reality, we are just walking ATM for them, idiots to be taken advantage of. Don't get me wrong, I was one of those idiots in the past, and the hardest part was that I didn't do it out of love but out of pity (I don't like relationships because they are opposite to what I really like, freedom). Since then I learned that I don't have to remediate a problem I didn't create.

By the way, I really want to go to the Philippines, it sounds like fun, as we speak, my buddy is there having a blast!

dlatins, classicos and after 1 are all run by the same partners and an agreement was made to close classicos "for awhile" so that other business ventures could grow. classicos is available for private and special events.

i witnessed a fight break out at d'latins between two haitian girls. one pulled a knife and stabbed the other repeatedly. that girl later bled out and died. the other one was reportedly found raped, with a broken neck and dead in charamicos.

haitian girls are hassled regularly and beaten by police. as are the haitian males. the recent crackdown targeted haitian owned "businesses", but were reported as "massage parlors". many were boutiques and hair salons and from what i could tell, not at all involved in the selling of sexual services. three around the corner from me were shut down, even though they never even appeared to be open. the haitian males are targeted more often for moto-confirep001ion. in all cases, the dominicans see the haitians as competition. they no longer want to lose money to them, so the "crackdowns" here, are more about that, than anything else.

the police hassled me one night while i stood on the sidewalk, down past the plan b bar, texting my friend. they asked me why i was here, where i was staying and what i was doing. in between answers, they were whispering to each other and acting suspicious. they let me go, but the whole event was uncomfortable.

i found a gun (minus the slide and the clip) laying in a gutter across from rumbas. i did not touch it or even say anything to the police about it. not my business.

i have met many locals and talked to them about a wide variety of things. i suggest many of you do the same. it may change the way some folks conduct themselves down here.

I can tell you this will be my 1st and last time to Sosua. Yea it's a longer plane ride to Philas but everything in Philas is twice as good. Yeah Sosua is Nice but once you step your game up and go to a place like the Philippines, You will be bored with a place like Sosua. Every Year that passes the Girls are becoming more and more hardcore, Because they have sucker ass Western Union Boyfriends. So they don't even have to work as hard anymore. Why work hard when you got some loser sending $300-$400 a month.

While in the Philippines, The Girls do not know there value because there's few Americans that travel to the Philippines too but them on pedestal. So they do not know there value and would appreciate having just a Hot Meal and they are way more laid back.

I used to Go to Sosua every 3 months (Or 4-5 times a Year) , Now I might go maybe once a year now, Its just not worth it like how it used to. Airline Tickets are getting more and more expensive

The Girls are way more hardcore, and they are asking for 3,000-4,000 pesos and your lucky if they spend the night. Plus most suck in bed and after a couple minutes they are asking "You leche papi", You Leche?

You are right AC and many other places in Asia beat Sosua hands down, it's no competition AC runs circles around Sosua and every other place in Latin America. I also agree I think the Asian women are better looking (just a personal preference). As I like to say Sosua is a poor man's Asia. However, Sosua has three things AC and the rest of Asia does not have. Location, Location, Location, Sosua is the one place I can get on a plane Thursday morning and be there in three or four hours and then be back Monday morning to conduct class. If I have four or five days its Sosua, if I have a week or more its Asia. Sosua isn't Asia but it isn't bad either.

With all due respect, this isn't an either / or proposition. While you may not have experienced any of these issues personally doesn't mean they are not frequently happening to others. I originally linked to the articule in the other Sosua thread and the comments by the locals made it seem like an everyday occurrence. I'm not suggesting nobody visit the place but simply to be aware of the dangers. For example less than one tenth of one percent of the population in Mexico directly knows someone killed in the drug war. But what percentage is cognizant of the threat? I'd guess 95. IMO Sosua has become like that really popular bar / club / restaurant back home that something tragic is always taking place at. The vast majority will come and go without problems but if you happen to be the unfortunate mark that day then I hope you have deep pockets.

BUt, I do not like slim built women. The average PI girl has no appeal for me. I know there are a few thick girls but they are the acception.
