Café 400 is the best I know iin that area of Rio. They open Mon-Fri because Saturday is a swinger club only for couples and Sun is closed. Ancoras is new for me. Paris Café has lower level of girls and customers. Anyway if you have time it is worthy to go Solarium at Lagoa and Montecarlo at Copacabana. It is no cheap but the most beautiful chicks are there. Damage can go from 200 to 300 USD, depending on drinks and time with the girl.

End of Balcony is end of Rio's final chapter. It's not about the money anymore, because the lack of option just kills your vacation. Help was open between 1986(?)-2010 and the exchange rates (and currencies) varied a lot during that time. However it´s definitely not the same for the GP's receiving R$400 ten years ago or R$150 today.

Not really. The Real was only really weak starting in late 2001 to early 2004. Guys that first visited Brasil during that period were very mistaken in thinking those exchange rates were "normal."

For a reference point, when I first went to Rio in Feb 2000, the US Dollar was worth only 1.7 Real. Yes, the US Dollar was weaker back then than that it has been the last few years. More significantly, in the last 6 years, Brasil has had quite high inflation, which is very evident in the price of a Termas visit.
