Now you can have your hard drive in the cloud, upload all your pictures & video to the net then delete them from the hard drive.

Its harder for the gov to get access to your storage space on a server somewhere in Russia or Burkina Faso than to check your laptop.

My question is, if this whole cruise ship thing comes to fruition then where does all the action go to?
I am thinking Boca Chica is hoping that with the fall of Sosua, they will rise back to the top. A tout told me that BC was the place until Sosua deflated them!

what specifically caught my eye is that customs officials in miami pulled dave and 6 other guys out of line and confirep001ed their electronic devices. from the article, it sounds like he still doesn't have them back yet. that kind of thing isn't cool, man. i don't want my stuff taken. not that i'm concerned with what they'll find, i just don't want to go without my laptop or cell for a for however long it take them.

has anyone else heard of this happening?

    Iphones and Blackberry's

A chica with an iPhone 5 or a Samsung Galaxy wants her friends to see her as someone who gets enough clients to be able to afford one. A success.

$600 phone but they never have minutes. My phones are whatever I get on my plan for free. The phones I give the girls are the unlocked old ones. My girl now has a older Blackberry I unlocked down here and is now begging for a "big phone". Everyone has one, why can't I have one. Tired of the begging BS. I just tell her no.

I hate these phones anyway, these girls are pasted to these phones. If I'm with a girl and she is always on the phone, I ask to see her phone and shut it off. When I get complaints, I tell them I'm paying for your time, leave the phone off or leave.

When people are trying to learn a language I suggest buying a used first year high school or college textbook from Amazon, buying a big dictionary, buying a copy of 501 verbs along with any audio lessons they can get their hands on / QUOTE]Couldn't agree more with the above regarding the majority of gringos trying to speak Spanish. For those who can afford it, Rosetta stone has worked wonders for me without a lot of books, etc. As it is helpful in reading Spanish, pronunciation, conjugating the verbs, learning what the conjugated verbs sound like, all with pictures, etc.[/QUOTE]Rosetta stone Rosetta stone I think it has a monopoly on learning Spanish. The prospanish on youtube is in helping me except when in comes to the ci- ce words. Ty guys for the help. I will make the adjustment.

Verb conjugation is a whole other animal. I think most monger guys trying to "home learn" these different languages do not understand this because many times I will hear guys using the first person singular present indicative form of the verb for anything and not just for the first person singular present indicative. This will make them sound as such: I am, You am, He / She / It am, We am, You (plural) am. You can see how ridiculous this is by the English example. Well it is the same ridiculous when guys are trying to speak Spanish without proper conjugation of the verb. This is by far what gives students of foreign languages the most trouble. (One easy thing about learning Thai is that verbs don't have to be conjugated.)

Could have been less than that, but I don't remember. All I needed was something that could receive and place calls.

You guys brining them Blackberries and iPhones are just spoiling them. Has nothing to do with her being too poor to afford a phone. The only thing true about that statement is that she cannot afford the iPhone or Blackberry that her amigas got from their gringo bobos, lmao!

It's the same way when dealing with your kids when they "need" new shoes. Do they want the cheap "but one, get one free" pair from Payless? Or the Air Jordan's?

Especially if you are staying with the girl few days you want to make her happy so that you get good service.

Same for Haitian Kreyòl. Also no gender, singular / plural, no irregularities or exceptions, only one way to pronounce each letter, and many other simplifications.

The downside is that the language is too basic to translate Shakespeare's sonnet with any subtlety, but that is not a common aim of mongers.

Ah, I thought "dethir" might have been a typo, LOL. Gotcha.

When David says Spanish, he doesn't mean the language, he means the location. If you are ever in Spain you will hear Barcelona pronounced as Barthelona, the same as GrownMan is asking about pronouncing decir as dethir. One reason why if you are studying the language to choose your lessons in Latin American Spanish and not Spain Spanish. The same holds true for Portuguese from Portugal or Brazil or English from England or America. There are many differences among each set.

    Girls Phones

I have brought two friends brand new iPhones while in DR as Christmas presents. Both working girls who I have great understandings and funny as hell relationships with. In purchasing them, it was in knowing that not only was I providing telephone but broadband access for them. Both have data and voice plans they pay monthly. Well we pay it. One tricks out of both pants legs with it and the other Facebooks any and everything.

Point is. As in most low income situations, the phone is simply not a phone its a laptop proxy as well. A cell phone maybe at times more important than the minor inconvenience of no electricity for day or two.
