When I walked in on Tuesday morning, I just got off the plane and didn't realize Electra had been closed. It looks better inside although the pizza place wasn't up and running, unfortunately. It was the best pizza in town (at least 6-7 years ago it was). Anyway, there were quite a few chicas rolling into the place, probably after LDV was closing. It wasn't as crowded as it normally is, but there was definitely enough talent to choose from.

I forgot to mention that vitamin C is cheaper here than in Panama City and Rio de Janeiro. I shopped around and found 5mg month supply for $103USD. It cost $160 in Panama & Rio. No script needed. OTC. Best Price was at the pharmacy across the street from the Hotel Almirante. I didn't price V. Wierd, that the day before I purchased, was quoted $110 price.

Sunday at Playa Hollywood was packed. Lots of Families. Somewhat difficult to pick out the pros from the non-pros. Hooked up with the stunner again.

Went to LDV last night around 12a. A few Hotties, in tight dresses outside. Got a beer, did not see anything that stuck out inside the club. Went and sat on a bench outside. Saw a stunning morena clara walking in the small plaza. She sat nearby and asked why I was alone. She was tall. 5'10" in her heels, very curvy body, busty, thin waist and a boomin ass. Her tight tube dress barely contained her. She quoted me 150K. Back at the Hotel, she was GFE. That ass was to die for, and a good send off, as my next stop is Rio de Janeiro. She was the best of my short time here. Sadly, I found her too late.

Puntz79: I liked Cartagena, it was my first time here. The tourist zone in Baocagrande is small, IMHO. I liked the beach. Get to Playa Hollywood, in front of the infamous Hotel Caribe. Limited Spanish should not be a problem there. If you see any babes alone or in a group, they're more than likely good to go. Not sure, how you'll do, in the clubs though. Best time for the clubs is Friday, and Sat. Also plenty of light skinned babes. And as always, RTFF. Add a trip report too, Mr 35 posts. Best of luck.

Is there a report of distinction or a Cartagena "cliff notes"? I'm thinking about expanding my Colombia view. Both for Mongering and for Standard / Family stuff.

How is Cartagena vs. Medellin for a first timer? I don't know much Spanish, I can understand good bits and can speak basic Spanish but not much more. I have been to DR quite a few times and been able to get by just fine with my basic Spanish over there.

Just looking to get away for a few days and going some place that is safe (security wise) , offers GFE, good quality / quantity of girls (I prefer lighter skinned girls over darker skinned, but am not terribly picky) and someplace where I can do just fine with my basic Spanish. I've been to several mongering destinations over the past few years, but have yet to experience Colombia.

Is Cartagena worth it? It would be my first time, and I have read that Medellin is more better for Spanish speakers.

Yesterday afternoon, I went to Playa Hollywood. It was crowded, perhaps due to the time of year, only saw about 9 chicas. Lots of other Latinas were accompanied. Also there were a lot of families and regular folk. Not what I was expecting. Also did not meet the infamous Tony Montana. Tout recommended by another forum member pointed out the available babes. Introduced to a 24yr old Stunner, probably the best looking babe at the time. Near GFE back at the Hotel. Savored the time with her. Overpriced, but well worth, the 300K. (Was expecting a 100K. 200K rate.) She stated she was returning home next week, to be with family over Christmas. I get a feeling, most of the girls will be doing the same thing. Sunday, is supposedly the best beach day. I'll see.

Old Parr: The stunner said, Elektra was being remodeled and would reopen in Jan. The tout said it was closed due to drug use in the club and would NOT reopen. (Drug use in a Colombian Club! I'm Shocked!) Wait and see, I guess.

I fully agree with Hilltopper. You will adopt their way of life if you stay a longer period. Being transformed from being an organized Anglo-Saxon to a life enjoying Costeno. It's like taking of a shield! And feel free!

In 2010 I stayed in a friends family's house paying 500 k COP / month including 3 meals. That will not happen again, but maybe 1 million COP / month is realistic.

The people are warm, maybe even warmer than in other parts of Colombia, and those people are very friendly as they are.

I hope to stay there 14 weeks, and if I like it, return on a regular basis.

Maybe someone got a clue about a internet site or newspaper to find economical long-term stays?

I don't want to come across the wrong way, but IMHO the idea of preparing a list of girls before your arrival is incompatible with not only the culture and mindset in Cartagena, but setting yourself up for disappointment. In addition to being on the Carribean Coast of Colombia, these will be 18 to 24 year old Colombianas who do not know what they are going to do this afternoon, and if they do, that's subject to change on a whimsical notion.

When going to CTG to meet chicas, I would get any notion of trying to make "advance plans" out of my head, unless you find being frustrated fun.

Get there on the ground, keep an open mind, don't rush things, don't try to plan things. Relax, enjoy yourself and go with the flow...

After not seeing much in front of the Clock Tower last night, I did a strip club tour. Started off at Isis a little after 12a. It was the same as my previous visit. Got to see one of the hotter girls do a strip. A Paisa sat with me and since she was a non drinker, did not push me to buy her a drink. Waited for something more to happen, nursed a beer and left.

Went to Pley Club. 11K beer, about 9 chicas. 2 doable. Approached by one and was quoted 250K for 30min. Nursed a beer awaiting a show. Was about to leave, when they announced a strip show would start soon. Saw it and left. I wanted to checkout Chicas Linda club, but taxi driver stated it was closed.

Was about to call it a night, when he recommended El Paradiso del Marino. Musta been after 2a, when I got there. Lots of chicas, quite a few doable. When I entered, it felt like I was the only guy there, as the chicas were looking at me with hungry eyes. I felt like chum circled by hungry sharks. I clicked with a chick or so I thought. She initially quoted 300K for 30min, got it down to 200K, and got 40min. El Paradiso is open 24hrs. After 4a it starts to pick up. 11k beer. It's a strip club / house. It also has a pool and restaurant. It reminds me of a motel, that has been converted into a house. Only problem is the distance, it was a 20K cab fare back to Bocagrande. BTW, what is it about Cartagena strip clubs, where the dancers don't dance, and generally only go topless?

This spoils totally my usual strategy in CGT: explore bars like Tu Candela without hurry till late, then going straight to Elektra to see all the best of CTG meeting up in one single place!

Now, if I am alone at 3am, that means I have to sadly move towards my room to sleep?

I feel depressed.

All the action is in front of the Clock Tower. Dozens there at times, I saw girls there even by day and the moment it gets dark they were moving in. At one point it looked like musical chairs with girls coming in and leaving with somebody by the second it seemed.

First time in Cartagena and Colombia. Strolled the beach during the day, but did not see any "action." Hit Cafe del Mar, perhaps too early at 1030p. Not much happening there, had 1 beer and went to Plaza Santo Domingo, also not much happening. (I see a trend developing.) After getting something to eat, I went to Isis just before midnight. Around 16 chicas. Was initially quoted 500K, by this very Curvy babe. She also offered 250K for 1 hour takeout. Was also told Isis would close for Christmas break this Sunday, 12/15 and reopen 1/3. Saw 3 strip shows and left. Isis had latinas to my liking, but was dead for the most part. Next stop was Tu Candelas. Only the upstairs was open. 10K cover. In front of Tu Candelas was crowded, it was Hooker centro. Was approached by a chica, not too my liking. When I got to Mr Babillas at 130a, it was closing. My only option left was LDV. A few chicas in the small plaza. As I walked in a bombshell was walking out with an older gent. Inside there were about 10 chicas. LDV was pretty dead. Chose the best one there, a curvy MILF type in a tube dress. I hoped the rate would be lower due to lack of customers, but she stood firm at 300K. (Live and learn, I shoulda taken the 250K option at Isis.) She was GFE back at the Hotel. Going to go to Pley Club tonight. If I don't see anything I like, I'll hang out in front of Tu Candelas and see what develops. Also confirmed that Elektra is closed.
