Quick addition to the restaurant notes in Ace's excellent summary: Top Views' main attraction (the view) has been more or less lost with three large buildings blocking out the view.

But if you go on the same road a few hundred metres further up (by taxi) there is the "Face of Addis" which has even better views. The food is OK, the birra is v. Cold. Its a stunning place to watch the sun go down on Addis. Its another destination girls are more than happy with.

Later or if you're girl-les then you can go to stockholm bar addis. Stockholmaddis dot com. Its off bole road. There's always a girl or two and its a higher-end destination, so you've more chance of picking up some kind of semi-pro. Not quite the drowned street rats I usually frequent. I was quoted 700 short time there recently. Or failing that try the Suba Lounge which has a facebook page. Weekends, as ever in Africa, is busiest.

Seeing recent posts, thought I would contribute a small amount myself again. Have lived and worked in Addis on and off for 15 years and still have family and home there; movements need to be discreet. I was there last week for a few days while on way to Mombasa. Return for Ethiopian Christmas (Gena) o0n 7th January and then back to Uganda.

Swimming Pools. The Hilton dramatically increased pool entrance fees for non residents last summer; it is now some 400 + Birr per person. Similar at Sheraton. Both places are the most expensive in town for drinks and food, especially with VAT and service charges. The interContinental has a roof top swimming pool (150 Birr / adult). It is smallish but adequate. Good food, cold drinks and reasonably priced. Now the weather is warmer in Addis, the Ghion is still a good bet and quite a few girls around at times (11. 00 to 14. 00) and some come for business in the garden around dusk. The smaller pool at Ghion is very warm and both the Ghion and Hilton pools are filled by natural how water springs. There is a pool (covered) at Harmony hotel.

Restaurants. There are a lot of places serving poor traditional and crap Int. Food, but there are some good places to eat – at cost. The Beer Garden has great chicken and salads, nearby, the Bon Café does a good breakfast and OK food. In Piazza, Castello's is a very old and best known Italian eatery. Top View restaurant near Maganegna has a semi Italian menu and just above a newish Greek restaurant and both enjoy stunning views of Addis. Lime Tree and Cloud 9 restaurants, both just down from Interconinental will not disappoint. Chinese at Concord and great wall, be why Ghion are acceptable. For Indian, Sangam on Bole Road (Africa Ave ). Ethiopians love their pastry and cakes, so a good array at most coffee shops.

Accommodation. Addis is one the most expensive places in Africa for hotels, even with the ever increasing number. Due to being the Diplomatic Capital of Africa, with so many Countries represented, the AU, the ECA, al UN agencies and countless NGO's and contractors – plus business is booming. One of my regular fuck buddies recently got a job at the new Kisinema Hotel. 100 metres down from Edna Mall. $85 / night but can be got for $ 65. The crazy thing about Ethiopia is the extra for double occupancy. This hotel wants $ 130 for double. They just stare when you state that is an expensive second breakfast. Just sneak them in. On a more reasonable level, many of the pensions we use for an hour or so, also give great night rates (300 to 600 Birr) and the ones I use have good beds, clean sheets, hot and running showers, wc, TV and a couple with small seating areas. Some also have cold drinks and beer for sale. Best bet is to note the number, check the rates and then visit to see if to you liking. A couple of hours driving around and you will collect enough. They are all I the triangle we discuss about. Don't forget Taitu Hotel in Piazza- main hotel and annexes – GF. Also Airport Motel on the airport – meganegna road. At600 Birr night. OK for purposes, GF and discreet, also has a small restaurant / bar. It is close to the action – there is a strip between Bole Road and bole Medhalen, full of massage parlours, bars, cafes etc and say 1 Km from Edna Mall.

Ethiopian Girls, Sex and Prostitution.

I reckon about 60% of the girls I have had have been cold, dull and useless for good sex. The others can be rampant working girls in bed. Couple of mine just pour their juices and have a 3some lined up for my return with one of them. Language can and is a barrier and there needs to be some rapport for them to open up as it were. Take the effort to learn some basic Amharic and it will help. If you fly on Ethiopian, their in- flight magazine has a small section on useful phrases – this will get you by to start with. They are not so much cold as very reserved – break the ice and you will have a warm playmate. Merkato has streets full of tin shacks where girls tout there wares day and night. The area near the main bus station is worst as this is where all country girls arrive at to be? BTW, there are an estimated 100, 000 new arrival to Addis each year now and changing the dynamics. The common slang for a working girl house / bar with girls is Buna Abet (coffee house) and most everyone knows what it means. If there was not so much whoring going on, then how come the population explosion?

The usual haunts and locations mentioned in posts of late are all still valid. I repeat an early evening 18. 00 to 19. 00) visit to Addis bar and restaurant. 100 metres behind Mega Building on Bole Road (Africa Ave ). Loads of girls go there, with friends, boyfriends, pimps etc. Tend to meet here before going on their shifts.

Lastly, Tagged, Afro, AFF and FB all yield results. It depends how you use and play the social media sites to your advantage and not get ripped off.

So they went up from 450 birr which was the price this June, but it is still reasonable compared to the prices of the so called 4star hotels for 110 USD. My main complaint about the Bole Guesthouse was the nightclub with its ear deafening music on weekends. Is it still there?

Close to this guesthouse is Martin's Cozy place. Any experiences with GF and rates?

Any experiences with other pools of Hilton etc if one is not a regular guest.

Hilton is fine I believe, I think there's a charge for non guests to use, but its common. Hilton's got a nice relaxed "70's" vibe going on, v. Stylish. Factor in the really long waits for table service by the pool, but its a great way to spend a day, drinking, eating and fooling around. For Addis its upmarket, plenty of ferengi boys and girls strutting. Its not a low end destination though, its a dream for street girls to spend a day there.

My experience in Addis Abeba were the worse. I visited Cameroon and Tanzania too. I went to Ethiopia more than 10 years ago and I don't know if now ethiopian girls have a different approach about sex. I never get a worse sex in other countries. I fucked about 10 Ethiopian girls but I did not have the desire for them. Girls were icy. Sex were mechanical and the girls were motionless like an inflatable doll. But may be now things have changed.

Bole Addis Guest house at TeleBole street, my God, electric plugs do not work in my room and asking the houseboy to fix it is just a waste of time. Changing room is not possible without consent of the fretty manager and he is not around. New room has electricity- but now WifFi is too far and not working, also water boiler is hot but no hot water is passing the shower, I guess the tubes are mixed up! Bath room door without handle, if the wind is closing the door I am locked up. Changing to 3rd room Is better. 560 birr about 25 Euro.

Thanks to a friend I got a new phone number of the tall thin anorexic but busty girl Hanna. I think these rants are a reflection of development and internet access (albeit via the achingly slow ethionet telecoms) that Ethiopians are logging on and guess what, they're searching for topics we are all interested in. And coming over all outraged when they find out they aren; t quite as top dog as they think they are.

Expect to see more of these political rants as more habesha's come online. Lets retain our perspective. We're travellers who seek sex, paid for or otherwise. We haven't got any qualms for paying for sex (although the whimpering demands for GFE may suggest otherwise) , we need safety and travel and local costings info, we need info about hotels that are good for our hobby and we need up to date and current info as the situation changes frequently.

A quick high level summary of Addis as a mongers paradise:

Urban Environment. Harsh, dirty, potentially dangerous.

Accommodation. Variable, largely not up to western standards, surprisingly expensive where comparable.

Food and drink. Sulpherous local produce, little or no variation in local produce, (insular approach. Who could want more than kitfo or tibs?)"burger and chips" style western food, cheap beer (Meta beer actually drinkable) , home grown wine tastes like fruit juice.

Safety. Potentially dangerous when out alone late at night, largely free of streetlights, streetnames, road surfaces etc.

Language. Amharic, which may as well be Klingon if you don't speak it. A small subset of girls speak english, badly. Its a difficult language for english speakers to master with a non western alphabet. English is becoming more widespread, but the insular thing comes into play again.

Girls. Plentiful in age range 18-mid twenties, pretty much worn out when older than that in this environment. If you're ferengi and can't score in Africa you shouldn't be on this forum.

Girl categories. Plenty of streetwalkers, plenty of girls in bars, nightclubs etc, Very few "strip" clubs or any kind of organisation. I haven't found "pure" brothels yet, mainly bars with rooms. Daytime options of massage places of wildly varying hygiene, experience and services.

Girls Looks. Often considered the prettiest in Africa, Slim (poverty and diet see to that) , but plenty have African curves, big titties on slim 18+ frames. My pref is for a big titties aged around 18-22 and I've never failed to get my preferred body shape.

Areas and numbers: Numbers are huge. I've walked past maybe thousands of girls without having to make a choice because I know there's other thousands to check. The girls are all over the city, huge concentrations in the aforementioned hotspots. Kasanchis, Chechneya, Piazza, Mercado, Bole, Bole Medhane Alem.

Girl Prices: (this will change, the ethiopian currency seems to be on the slide again) These are tourist rates, local rates would be half or quarter this: Short time 300-400, long time more obviously, I wouldn't want to pay more than 800. Be aware 1000 is a month's salary for a lot of people.

There's more detail needed to decide if this is a mongers paradise obviously, thats the job of this forum.

You need to be certain of your tolerance to poverty, dirt and potentially dangerous urban environments, bad food, poor communications, difficult transport, poor facilities, electricity and water being cut off arbitrarily, internet connection from the dark ages.

But the advantages? (from our perspective, remember) almost unlimited access to cheap, willing (and yes they are willing, if you're ferengi chances are you're the most interesting thing to happen to them for several months.) young, firm black girls on an ongoing basis, for about $20 a go. Note to the usual overpaying f*ckwits currently stuffing dollars into stripper thongs in the US, desperately seeking pretend affection. Paying $40 or $60 WILL NOT improve your experience.

Whether the pro's outnumber the con's and this is paradise only you can decide. Paradise isn't a word I'd use about anything in Ethiopia, then again I'm hot for black girls with big tits 18-23 yo, especially where I'm in a point-and-click environment and I can pay for all I can eat from the buffet. Full report a little later in the year and I will be getting through "14 girls in 9 days" if my balls can keep up.

All people are equal and there is no need for a girl to prostitute herself! Right? Not right! They provided their services as well. Only for lesser money.

98 % of their customers are local man and not foreigners. There are far too less foreigners in Addis to sustain these thousands of girls!
