on my latest business trip to jakarta i stayed at mahakam hotel in blok m. even though i am a frequent jakarta visitor, it was a first time for me to stay in blok m. but it gave me the opportunities to explore a new section of the city and its spa scene. in this report i will mention a few places that normally get very little exposure in this forum. the purpose with this report is to share some insights i gathered during my trip. hopefully it can guide others who wants to explore south of blok m. please don't ask for therapist recommendations as i have far too little experience with each place to be able to provide any guidance.

after spending some time in this area i noticed the spa scene is different from the one in central / north jakarta. in the south most places are massage+he oriented. some places offer bj and fs but typically at higher prices than in central / north. typical fs price is 500-800 k idr. bj 300-500 k, and hj 100-300 k. all depending on quality and nego skills.

all establishments are located at the eastern part of the center. inside the center, walk up and down the two streets closest to darmawangsa square and you will see plenty of outlets.

this area contains mainly two types of establishments:

- massage+he (e g at my place, delta, persona sehat, blue ocean). my place and delta includes hj as part of sop providing you do three sessions. other places the cost and services are negotiated in the room with the therapist.

- full service (e g fortune, hidup sehat). official package includes massage only. everything else negotiated in the room with the therapist. fortune is very sleek with a nice pool area and big lounge targeting expat and wealthy locals. rooms high standard with proper doors. h s is more locally oriented and lacks facilities except shower room. rooms basic with ac and massage bed, and door sealed off with curtains.

conclusion

in summary i had a great time exploring these areas close to blok m. fortune is by far the most upmarket place in terms of facilities and atmosphere. but in terms of service providers looks looks and performance i didn't really notice much difference. english proficiency is mainly with the front staff. most therapists have very limited or no english skills. but i found it quite amusing to use a big smile and hand language to interact with the girls.

at delta, my place and galaxy they will all ask if you want to extend (meaning a third session). answering 'yes' is typically the cue for triggering the extras. don't forget to tip them 100 k for a job well done.

at fortune, hidup sehat and mawar all therapists i sampled offered me extras. younger girls typically have a higher opening price, but my average price for full service was 500 k. a few young stunners tried to get 1 m, but i just laughed them off. as always, young and beautiful girls have a tendency to be starfish experience, with limited massage- & service skills. my top 5 experiences have all been with 25+ why o who could leverage from their years of experience. they are typically more relaxed, better at engaging with the customers and more eager to please.

Bekasi is actually joined to Jakarta. The hotels in Bekasi are more family getaway type facilties. It would take a girl about 90 minutes to come and meet you at a Mall in Thamrin area. And 100 000 Rp to her for the taxi home. The girls would also expect you to be staying in central Jakarta and may not be comfortable if you were meeting them to close to their family home.

So if you stay in central Jakarta / Mentang you'll have no problems. Different if you based yourself down south in Blok M.

Don't advise inviting the girl who lives in Bekasi that has been to Ireland that's on all the dating sites. She's a real 1/10 in the flesh.

Day 1:

Went to classic at around 4pm all by myself. Settled down at one of the tables and had a look around. There were not many people there and the supply was quite abundant I'd say.

IDR 1 mil and above, I'd stick to the bar scenes.

Visited all three. Concur with most of recent posts. TG is more casual / friendly girls. No pressure. No tactics. Not the best lookers, but likely not commercial.
