Day 2 Part 1
I pulled up at Sosua beach and my girl protested. She wanted to go to Cabarete instead. I said this beach is good so we will go here. We walked down to Big D's and I had the rib / chicken combo and we both had pina coladas in the pineapple, hers without alcohol. There were some guys planning a big party the next day and were getting Big D to cater it. My girl said she was not going to get in the water at Sosua beach because she does not like it. When I finished eating I decided to take her to Cabarete.
As we walked back down the beach on the way to the car, we passed another aunt / niece combo that I met the night before. (Their pictures are included in the ones I already posted.) I was seriously thinking about taking the aunt that night, but some guy came into Rumba who she said was her good friend and she was going over to talk to him for a while. They had on the same clothes as the night before. I put my arm around my girl and tried to avoid eye contact with them, hoping they didn't speak to me as we passed each other.
We arrived in Cabarete and I parked the car across from ScotiaBank. We walked down the beach and she started saying how she didn't like it. I said I told you that Sosua beach was better but you refused to listen. We sat on some beach chairs and a guy came and collected 100 pesos each for using them. He asked if we wanted any food or drinks but we declined. My girl said that she didn't want to get into the water. I told her that if she didn't go put on her beach clothes immediately then we would have a problem. I drove all the way to Cabarete because she complained about Sosua and now doesn't want to put her beach clothes on in Cabarete either. She reluctantly went to change.
The kite boarding looked very interesting so I stopped at the shop to inquire about learning. The lady told me that lesson were $50 / hour and it takes most 6 hours to learn at a rate of 2 hours / day. I'm definitely considering signing up next time.
On our way out to Cabarete we saw the signs for Dulce Secreto cabana. We decided to stop there on our way back through Sosua. We took the 600 peso room. I'm not sure how much time you have for that amount. At most cabanas that I have been to the normal time is 4 hours. To me, Dulce Secreto is one of the best cabanas that I have been in, better than many DR hotels even. It was clean and modern and I didn't even have to wait for the hot water to warm up. It was definitely the best shower that I had in Santo Domingo, Santiago, and Sosua during my six day trip. I will post the pictures in the Sosua Hotel thread.

I left Sosua this morning and made it to the end of Autopista John Paul II in 2 hours and 40 minutes. I was supposed to meet up with a chick before my flight but she didn't answer my text. Came to Boca Chica to enjoy the other type of red snapper instead.
