Its well known that one is not typically (particularly in quantity) going to see girls in Go Go's in Bangkok precisely comparable to the world class stunners one might run across on an everyday/ every few minute(s) basis in for example Terminal 21, so when someone on the open boards posts he spotted a flat out "classic 10 level Japanese look stunner" (in this case facial beauty at least) dancer and names the club, any bloke can follow this up and check it out himself, so the poster is hardly holding back information. I am just wondering why you feel the need to post this? Has someone been pestering you for numbers of girls? I personally don't have a problem giving a fellow board member a number from one of my reports. In most cases it will help the girl involved! That's what the board is all about, sharing information. Never get attached to a bar girl BTW!

Would you take a girl from a Go Go and then go to your hotel and then (without telling her) have 10 of your friends waiting for her in the room? Now what group is known for that? While everyone believes Go Go dancers are just looking in the mirror, they seem to have excellent situational awareness of where good prospects are in the club at any given moment, and some are pretty much constantly scanning the room for potential customers. While you might think you are hiding sitting far back, you will be scanned in some form, often even in crowded clubs, and if a girl wants you to barfine her, the signals will be sent, and no doubt very expllicity signals once you are at stage side.

Just wanted some advice from fellow members as to how the scene will be in June, is it an off season, and will that affect the prices in the city. Also any recommendation for a decent place to stay which will be guest friendly near Nana will be appreciated.

Even during the lowest moment of the low season, there will still be more girls in Bangkok than you can ever hope to make love too. WG prices will not change for high or low season. Hotel prices will be lower in low season. Search the usual hotel booking sites (such as www.booking.com) for the Sukhumvit area. Most hotels in that area are guest-friendly and if you have doubts just email them and ask about their joiner fee policy for unregistered guests. Of course you must book a room for two persons!

Take a look at On8 Hotel. On Soi 8. Clean. New. Short walk to Nana. Girl friendly. June will be hot. Not too crowded. Not much effect on prices.

If I were ever to actually stay in BKK and need to take the airport express from near Phaya Thai, the regular stops of the normal run would be impossible with luggage. Bloody mindedness to get tourists to use Makkasan perhaps?

Phaya Tai is about as far from the action as Makkasan. In both cases you have to transfer to another mass transit system. In both cases you have to navigate stairs with your luggage. Phaya Tai has more stairs, but a shorter overall distance to walk. I'd guess about a 5 minute walk and 15 or 20 minutes to take the skytrain to Nana or Asok. From Makkasan station to Petchaburi MRT it's around a 10 minute walk and another 10-15 minutes to catch the next train to Sukhumwit.

In short, they're roughly the same. Neither one is that convenient, especially with lots of luggage, but neither is hugely inconvenient.

The Phaya Thai Express line is temporarily suspended starting 14 April. I believe for a year. The Makkasan Express is still running.

Sorry, I'm not sure of the exact address. From Sukhumvit Road, walk about 25 meters into Soi 8 and Foot Joy is right there on your right, at the corner of a small sub soi leading to the On8 hotel. And excellent value, incidentally. And, right across from that hotel is Bamboo Massage! All nice and conveniently located together.

Don't know about Bamboo, but I have heard good things about Bo who works there.

I don't think I will be able to squeeze this one in my short trip. Will have to check it out in a later one.
