Gentlemen,

I am planning a four day trip next month, play a little golf and enjoy some of Bangkok's delicacies. I was wondering if anyone had stayed at the Certre Point, Terminal 21 and your thoughts.

I liked the Westin, great location and can get a good price, but when you add the daily internet charge it's not such a good deal.

Anybody compare Majestic grande to Majestic suites, as far as location to Nana and Cowboy, girl friendly and so on all help would be great.

I have stay in both the Majestic Grande is a large expensive 4 star hotel with very large room and bed, the Majestic Suite is a tiny motel with small room many monger get confuse about the two both are near Nana Plaza both are very GF.

Anyone has any experience with iCHeck Inn Nana?

It looks to be decently priced and well placed.

The funny part is that on Agoda, they have specifically written that no children are allowed in there. All guests must be over 18.

This hotel chain have a few hotel pop up the last few yr in Bangkok and all over Asia just like the Tune hotel this is a cookie cutter place a very basic and very small room, I did check out their room a few month ago near Asok decide not to stay there, if you just want a cheap and basic room worth a look.

If not expecting an extra breakfast nor an extra bed, I have found some Hotels have turned a blind eye to 3 persons being in the room all night. Could be a charge for extra towels LOL. I normally make do with exiting towels. Big towels for the girls and a little one for me.

Its a business not a religious order. Behave as such. Stop at the front desk, inform them you will be having an additional guest & hand your credit card to them. Its not rocket science.

I will answer my own post about the guest-friendliness of Citypoint Hotel by quoting the email I received from them:

Perhaps if you tell them you don't really need the extra mattress, they will cut you a bargain when you want a threesome?

After some comments here in the forums and a bit of research on tripadvisor etc. I decided to stay at the Majestic Grande hotel in Sukhumvit Soi 2. The locations is great as it is not directly on Sukhumvit Road (noise!). The prices seem reasonable. I paid around 80 Eur per night including a good breakfast buffet. As mentioned I think the location is great, Annie's Massage is right across the street, Soi 4 with Nana Plaza is about a 5 minute walk.

The room is quite large, nice modern bathroom with separate bathtub and walk in shower, flat screen tv, in-room safe, mini bar, etc. Girl friendly (as expected) , I took two girls back to my room with no issues. IDs will be collected by the front desk.

Absolutely recommended!

Is it Majestic grande or Majestic suites, witch of the two best location? As far as Nana and cowboy?

Just want to comment that Majestic Grande is the nicer hotel as has been mentioned. Majestic Grande is a little farther walk like a minute from Nana. It is easier to get in and out of a cab there since it has a driveway where as Majestic Suites is right on Sukhumvit and can be a pain sometimes unloading and loading if you are going to or coming from airport, but it's Bangkok so not a real big deal. They have to stop on the street to let you out. Both hotels are relatively close and are owned by the same people. It depends also what you want to spend on your hotel and what you want from it. For just the basics and decent bed but small rooms, Majestic Suites is just fine. I think it has great value but haven't been there for a couple of years. At night if you're taking a cab, it's not really a big deal the difference. Both can reach the Skytrain with a little walk. Walking to and from Beer Garden is easier done via Majestic Suites. The Majestic Grande has a great lunch buffet. You can use the Majestic Grande pool and gym as a guest of Majestic Suites.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I asked the iCheck Inn Nana if their hotel was girl friendly.

Not surprisingly they told me that I am welcome to bring a female guest for the night.

So I had a toss up between Tune Asoke and ICheck Inn Nana, and despite Asoke being 500B cheaper, I have decided to go for iCheck for now.

Will probably try Asoke the next time I come over to BKK.

Yeah. Their own description makes one thing that its highly GF. Even the user reviews said that this hotel is certainly not for families and children.

The decent price and walking distance to BTS Nana make it highly desirable to me.

I think I will try email them as you did and see what reply to they give about bringing in girls.

)? It looks nice, gets good reviews, it is only a few minutes walk from Soi Cowboy and the price is right (less than 2000 baht / night including breakfast for 2). I already emailed the hotel to inquire about their joiner policy. Any information from forum-members in that respect would be welcome of course.

On www.booking.com It says "Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel" and "There is no capacity for extra beds in the room". Indeed the rooms are rather small: only 24 m². Which is 2 m² larger than the rooms at Citypoint Hotel, but less than what I am used at Citadines.

Both are close to Nana. MS is a little closer to Cowboy but that is where the comparison ends. MG is a four star hotel with a pool, excellent gym and nice breakfast and MS is a one to two star Inn. Lots of review for both places can be found if you search here but MG always have some sweet deals if you book direct or from sites like Agoda or Expedia. Also good to see MG now offering free internet access after years of charging customers for it.

I have stayed many times in that hotel. There are 2 sets of rooms. The old and the newer. 1200 & 1500B. The 1200 are older. I prefer this hotel over Nana. During the time Sofitel was built it was noisy on that side. The only rooms overlooking the traffic are the rooms at the end of the corridors. The noise did not bother me, but I like them as they are quite large. No they don't have a safe in room, but they have lockers in the reception area. I have stayed many times hand have left my laptop in the room. Never had a problem, but that is me.

I personally like the end of the corridor room, and if not available then the rooms opposite the Sofitel side. Aircon is ok (standard issue). I just take out the key, leave the card in the slot to keep the air con running when I leave.

I like it also for it's location. Close to Cowboy, Nana and Thermae. You can go and check it out.
