    But really?

I don't see normal functioning good people who have a high sex drive or thin people who constantly pig out as having problems. Just a high sex drive and high metabolism. No harm no foul.

My current GF eats like a cow all day long. She is rail thin. Eating disorder / addiction or high metabolism?

But if you are eating to obesity and poor health or damaging important aspects of your life (family, wallet, work) through excess, even of good habits such as sleep then you might need to seek help.

How many have ruined their lives due to a high sex drive? Probably not many.
Could have not said it better myself. I thought I was a sex addict, but really it's just that, thankfully, we have longer life spans, more leisure time, abundance, and hotter women than say, 50-100-1000's of years ago.

In fact, sexual frustration leads to a lot of those worse things mentioned.

    Sex addiciton

I looked into chemical castration. I did some research and if you don't have the willpower to stop, its something you can look at. I just can't pull the trigger and go through with it at the moment.

Sex addiction is not a physical addiction: your body does not get withdrawal symptoms. Jerk off if your balls are hurting or even better get a hot young thing in your bed and let her milk you of your excess sexual energy.

I agree totally with Sailor Jim.

A balance towards a little more needs than some others I would not consider an addiction. Addictions impact more than individuals in many most negative ways.

I do believe that consistently repeated bad karaoke performances can be considered addictions. ROLMFAO!

    Thanks for that Jim!

The tail does not wag the dog and in regards to porn, porn is just an aid to someone having a high sex drive and not the proportional amt of frequency of sex to satiate that drive. Blaming porn is like blaming lube.

And why is it a bad thing to have a body that craves orgasm 4-5 times a day? My body craves 6 hours of sleep a night. My girl needs a solid 9. Should she seek help?

    Worse things:

Uncontrollable shopping and debt, smoking, drinking, drugs, violent tendencies, gambling, crime, and really bad karaoke performances.

I understand your point of view as well. The issue is when porn is watched too much and your tastes morph. For example when normal porn doesn't get you off and you have to go to more extreme levels to get off.

I am not saying never pull your goalie, I am just saying that I agree with the site to the degree that porn can be harmful to real life sex because it will morph your views on sex.

I would agree with it to a degree. Watching porn all the time and wanking all day, on top of moving into more extreme porn to get turned on, is definitely not a good thing. Normal use of porn is okay, but there are some people, like I was, who watch it all the time and masturbate like 3 times a day, that ain't normal

No seriously. What's the threshold between normal use and abuse in your view?

The main web site (yourbrainonporn. Com) has a variety of other interesting material you can read. Especially interesting are the stories of men who have given up all internet porn and masturbation and report significant improvement in their sex lives and overall motivation and well-being. Food for thought.
