I used to live in Melbourne, now Seattle WA., but will be back either this year or the next. A few X-mas's ago, I got stopped by coppers on Napean Hwy, didn't get busted, because I told them I was a tourist (which technically was true at the time).

Anyway I have been hearing Melbourne was going the way of Sydney and would be having a "proper" red light district. Has that happend yet? Are they still doing stings down in St.Kilda?

SW's like Susan are usually found in one or two spots namely the corner of Greeve St and Inkerman and the tram stop in Carlisle St. I saw Susan out and about again approx 1 week ago. So those that have not had the pleasue or have not got her phone number there may be another opportunity. Susan was working towards opening her own establishment and is one of the more professional ladies in St Kilda.

SW's like Kerry (not her real name) are always found at the same spot, for example in Grey Street. This is where I have found most of the younger SW's over the years.

Nice to see some regular members make it back onto the new forum. I thought this forum was almost dead and buried also.

If you are going to cruise down in St Kilda regularly with the current police presence it may be better to avoid going around the block frequently. This will surely attract attention and the police will give you a hard time as I have experience personally.

The police are even stepping up their foot patrols in Carlisle St recently. So don't expect to see a lot of WL's around during the day.

Occassionally I have seen 3 WL's together working regularly from the corner of a side street on Carlisle St near Nepean Hwy. Can anyone tell me more about these WL's as they appear together in the evenings only for short periods of time? I assume that they are popular as they do not stay out for long.

Also if you come across a young guy in St Kilda who is looking after the interests of his sister, i.e selling her services , she is only 16. As you approach the WL??? he will come to the window of your car and negotiate a price. Something that you may wish to avoid.

yeah heard that the police are cracking down on the SW in st kilda!!! read The Age newspaper on the 19th june and 20th june they mention of new policy reform on street prosituation in st kilda.

anyway went down on monday and tuesday 17th and 18th june, not many SW around in fact only a few and there are about 4 to 5 police cars doing round in the area or even set up road block in greaves st.

remember that it is illegal to turn into greeves st from inkerman st from 11.00pm to 3.00am the road block i think is to catch people breaking the law and held them for questioning!!

I went to St Kilda about a months ago witha mate for a look see, as I've never been down there at night before. Went down some small side street, and the coppers were comming right at us, but ignored us. But about an hour later they followed us down the same street and pulled us over, but all they did was a licence check so we were lucky! When pulled over my mate said to the cop, we're just down for the day from the country, done some shopping, and doing some cruising! The cop nearly pissed himself laughing. But if you cruised down there regualry they'll prob know you.

There seems to be a few new faces about in recent times!
