Keep moving around, keep changing numbers, and only give new numbers to the ones you want to keep.

And develop a heart harder than titanium for the multitude of sob stories that will come your way.

And develop some great replies... Ie.

"I would love to help you but my bank account was hacked so no spare cash".

" My wallet was snatched and so all my spare cash gone".

" My money is locked up in a court case with ex wife, will be happy to help you when its settled.

" I gave a girl a loan of P20,000 and she never paid it back so now I'm very wary".

" No I won't loan you anything till I have a 3 some with you and your younger cousin".

I can't explain the logic! Probably impossible for us to fully understand.

My Filipina ex-wife never used to complain about being taken advantage of, even when one relative stole expensive sheets and towels from the apartment over a period of some weeks.

Apart from the relative to whom I 'loaned' money for the bike, all my 'investments' were carefully screened, and a few paid big dividends in other ways! Anyway, I am glad that I was able to help some girls, girls who I felt were more responsible than your typical Filipina.

I have a good sixth sense and intuition, and only once have I stupidly believed a story that was so incredible, I felt she could not be making it up! But they don't give up. One girl has continued to send me YM messages every few months for the past 5 years!

If the girls put as much effort and creativity into getting work and a career of some sort, as they put into their stories, then their poverty would be significantly reduced. On the other hand, maybe the story business is a highly lucrative career for some of the girls!

And I will certainly continue to help deserving people when I can. And not necessarily sexy young Pinay. Some years ago I paid boarding and tuition fees in Australia for the son of a Christian Balinese family I met and stayed with in Bali (there are a few Christian villages in the Western part of the island, although they are persecuted by the Hindu majority).

What is the old saying about Westerners in developing countries? There are mercenaries, missionaries, misfits and mongerers! I am not sure which category I belong to! Maybe all!

    Cheers.

    Hi all,

Quick question, is it possible to buy viagra over the counter in Manila without a prescription, eg at Mercury drugstore?

    Thanks

    First trip to Manila

Mongering veteran, but first time ISG member. Ill be visiting Manila in a few weeks. Did some research on this forum and found few of the mongering areas: Makati & Ermita. I was wondering if anyone else can suggest any other areas for first time visitors on a budget.

    Thanks

How do you think the likes of Marcos, Estrada, GMA, Binays, Enrile etc, despite repeated allegations of corruption, robbery etc stay in power?

Simply by loaning money for weddings, funerals, graduations (boy, Filipinos have graduations for each and every reason, even for completing 3 month diploma, gown compulsory).

The more money you lon (with no return.) the most liked and generous you are said to be.

Stop loaning and you are painted as stingy, rich but not sharing.

Recently a girl I never met in person asked me for money, for her to go to Dubai. And promised she will return if she gets a job.

I told her that I am between contracts, I.e. No job, I.e. No pay, and she went "that's why I am asking only 20,000. Well seems you don't want me to get a better job and prosper. "

Explain that logic, if you may.

Another silly story. Recently in Singapore a group of Filipinos were caught in a credit card fraud, I.e, mis- declaration of salary to obtain credit card when based on their real pays they weren't eligible, and most did a runner with massive card debts.

Almost all Filipinos asked forgiveness as they strongly believed the abuse must have been to borrow money for family emergencies. And the Singaporeans were amazed that the Filipino community doesn't care about law breaking but are emotional when it comes to defending the 'lesser fortunate' (less fortunate in their eyes. Only.).

    Simple Answer; I think Yes!

Another question. Why did you give money to a spoiled kid, hoping this kid would earn money and will pay back your 'loan' - I did the same in Madagascar long time ago for buying a Citroen 2 CV as a taxi plus the license and was naive in believing that a 'loan' is a 'loan'. Strangely enough, the car was stolen soon and they asked me for another 'loan'. Of course I declined, cut any contacts with this family and wrote off the money as an expensive learning experience.
    Hi Ganesha,

I agree that in many countries (not just developing countries) there are 'social systems', where families are close-knit, and include extended families, and where filial responsibilities are taken seriously. In these places, the sharing of wealth is expected, and common.

But in PI, the asking and giving occurs not just between family, but between friends and acquaintances. I think it is a cultural thing, like the way Filipina share food with each other. I knew a DH in Hong Kong who had no idea of how much money she had loaned, or borrowed, from many of her friends there. It was just something that happened all the time.

If I have known a SYT for one week, I am surely not part of an extended family at that point of time. Sometimes they start asking for money within minutes of meeting! One hears some truly inventive stories. I am sure that other ISGers here could relate many hilarious episodes.

The spoiled trike driver 'kid' was 43 yo with a wife and 3 children, none of whom worked (even though one, a bakla, was a university graduate). As my wife's eldest brother, with a serious heart condition, I sincerely wanted to help him as his trike was truly stuffed. And, although I suspected that I might never see the money again, I did not expect him to just repair his old motor bike and give the rest of the money to his wife and kids.

I have helped a number of Filipina with 'loans' as I believe that the girls are more than just 'fresh meat' as some people seem to believe. I have put a girl through university (she was a relative), set up a girl's online shopping site, helped another girl obtain a nursing job in Hong Kong, and provided the government bond for a girl to migrate to Australia (she was a doctor).

If I had unlimited funds, I would certainly help many more deserving cases there. But, if I lived there, the scale of requests from ex-family and ex-gfs would be truly tedious!

    Cheers,

    Ikksman.

Customer service is still alive and well in Carriedo

I was in Manila last week. Took the LRT from the United Nations Station to the Carriedo Station at around 11 am. For anyone who has not partooked in the local SWs, they tend to congregate in two areas. On the east side of Rizal they are in close proximity to the Astrotel Hotel (use Google Maps and type in "Astrotel, Rizal Avenue, Manila" for the location). The other area is on the west side of Rizal between the Puregold Store and Sogo Hotel. For those of you who desire stunners, go somewhere else. It's rare I see anyone who I would rate above a 5 or 6, and I tend to grade on a curve, LOL. But for 500 pesos a whack, you can't be too picky.

Anyway, I exited the LRT and headed down the steps and then turned left and headed north along the east side of Rizal Avenue. I passed a couple of SWs hanging out at the Astrotel, but they weren't my cup of tea. By the way, there is a mobile sign in front of the hotel entrance and the girls tend to stand behind the sign, as to shield themselves from the piercing eyes of the locals.

North of the Astrotel there were about 6 SWs milling around in various spots, but one caught my eye. Tall for a Pinay, maybe 5' 4", and somewhat big boned. She was not what I would call "fat", but she had a larger body structure than the average filipina. Had a pretty face but I would not call her cute or gorgeous. Just an average Pinay, but she was dressed well and wore some cute moderately-high wedgie sandal heels. She had freshly washed hair and wore nice make up, and had a pretty smile. My spider sense started tingling and I smiled and said Hello,.

Her name was Grace, age 26 with two kids. I negotiated a 500 peso date, with an uncovered BJ and covered FS. I always discuss terms with the SWers so there's no confusion when we get to the room. It's amazing how many Carriedo SWs don't provide BJs, I guess their Pinoy customers don't require them, LOL.

We walk hand in hand across Rizal to the Sogo hotel, and we head to the 6th floor where I pay the 130 pesos fee for 1 hour. We head into the hotel room and asked her if she wanted me or her to shower first. To my surprise she said, "I will shower with you". So we stripped down, put on our Sogo slippers and headed to the shower. She soaped and rinsed me sufficiently, then unexpectedly kneeled down and started blowing me. Patiently sucking my shaft and licking my balls, ooooolala! Ahhhh, the feeling of warm water cascading over us while she did the deed was heavenly, and it took all my anti-concentration powers to keep from busting my nut.

After a couple of minutes I motioned her to stop. We then toweled each other dry, and headed to the bed. I pulled out a condom and we laid down and pulled the sheet over us because the air con was working way too well. I laid on my side and stuck out my arm and motioned I wanted her to lay right next to me. We made some small talk, then started kissing. Not just kissing, but deep throat-tongue swirling kissing like two 18 year old kids. We spend about 5 minutes smacking away, then I started licking her neck and nipples, which made her moan in what I believe to be a response to genuine pleasure.

I then motioned I wanted her to resume sucking on my little buddy. She immediately resumed her enthusiastic blow job. My gosh, is there anything more beautiful in the world than watching the face of a woman who enjoys sucking cock? Then for the finale', I unwrapped my USA Made ultrathin condom and had her guide it in. The sensation of being inside of her felt so good, it fit like a glove! I remember thinking that I'd never had a pussy that felt this perfect. In fact, I had to pull out of her a few times to keep from cumming too quickly.

After a few minutes I was ready to blow, so I started giving her some hard pounding. Then she did something that no other woman has ever done with me. After continuously and vigorously thrusting her pelvis into mine, she let out a loud moan and sighed "I'm finished". Of course I wasn't done yet, so after a brief pause, I resumed vigorously pounding her and after about 30 seconds I blew my wad into the latex. She then moaned again, so I guess she wasn't totally finished after all, haha.

After cleaning ourselves up, we laid on the bed and made some small talk. She commutes from Caloocan City to Carriedo each day, which is a 1 hour commute each way. A long way to come to earn 500 pesos per event, but she says she averages 1 to 3 customers per day, which gives her enough to pay the bills. She says she arrives around 9 am and goes home around 4 pm.

3 months prior she had returned from a 2 year stint in Dubai and was finding it hard to make ends meet here in the Phils while raising two kids. Sometimes we forget these women are "human beings" and are doing this kind of work to survive in this world.

Also, it turns out I was the first foreign man she had ever been with. I told her I was skeptical, and she said "no, I swear it is true". I then told me I was such a handsome man (yeah right, but I trust her judgment) and she was very attracted to this 55 year old guy. What an ego boost, haha.

We departed the Sogo and went to a nearby store so I could buy some refreshments. Bottled water for me and pineapple juice for her. Total cost was 650 pesos (500 for her, 130 for the room, and 20 pesos for her drink). She didn't ask for a tip and I didn't offer, I don't like spoiling the market.

I like Carriedo for a number of reasons. First, it's easy to get to as long as you don't have a phobia about riding on the LRT / MRT system. Second, it's a safe place to go during the day. It's a crowded area with lots of vendors and shoppers. I haven't even encountered any beggars. Just make sure your money is zipped up and not accessible to pickpocketers. Also, leave your credit cards and extra money in your hotel safe. Don't bring anything that you can't afford to lose.

Third, the price is right. Some women there will quote you 1000 pesos, but will drop it down to 500 if you start walking away. Make sure to stand your ground!

Fourth, it's rare to see another white person in that area of town. I've had 8 women total there in a past couple of years and most of them have said I'm their first foreign customer. Consequently, I've gotten reasonably good service from each one. Not every one has given GFE like this girl, but they have been nice, pleasant, clean, fun to be with, and have provided good service. Just make sure to negotiate the details before heading to the hotel.

I've mongered in all corners of the world. At times I pay a lot of money for companionship and other times I pay a pittance. We all know there's a definite relationship between price and expectation of service. But there's certainly no correlation between price and the quality of the outcome. It kills me to pay $150-200 US for bad service in Hong Kong or Singapore. But if I were to pay $10 for bad service in Carriedo, I can easily just write it off and go find another one.

Ok I'm done pontificating now...go forth and multiply!

Balance is all important and so is ensuring that you don't go crazy.

I think for a prolonged stay, NOT reading the local papers would be a good habit # 1, so one wouldn't have to read / listen to self aggrandisement (aggrandizement for the Americans) that does happen, as well the wonderful allegations of " black propaganda" (does propaganda have a variety of colours?

I seriously considered settling in Manila, with intermittent trips / contracts overseas (but I chose another place).

The reasons for deciding against MM did not include concern about brain numbing conversations with 'have you had your lunch' girls. I met girls that were interesting to talk to (and Freebie, you probably also met some girls able to hold a reasonable conversation from an institution, where we have both had success).

Instead, the main reason that counted against Manila was the gaggle of relatives of my ex-wife. The parents were well-off (ran a large sand carrying company), but with one exception, all (there were 11 children) were spoiled no-hopers. Every time I went to MM, they would somehow find out and they, and their children, would be constantly texting me wanting hand-outs or 'loans'. I actually loaned one of them the money for a new motor-bike (he was a trike driver). Did the bike get bought, or the money repaid; of course not.

I am not being overly critical of these people (they are only trying to survive), but it becomes very tedious and annoying! And you cannot escape them, because they know where you live!

    My two centavos worth.

    Wheelchair Philosophy

After being subject to repeated crude personal attacks for mythical 'daily needling' (must be invisible posts!), I have decided to put my longheld philosophical pacificism on hold for a few minutes.

    1. ISGers could not care less about, and do not want to read, posts where a person is attacking another (in fact they wish the person would just STFU).

    2. Serial antagonists lose all credibility in the eyes of other ISGers.

    3. Pissing matches can impact the number of genuine on-topic posts to the board!

POV post ended; never to be raised again by me (points should be obvious to all, but unfortunately apparently not).

    Cheers.

P.S. Sorry, I only have 50 year old photos of Filipinas, so here is a recent Chinese SYT of mine to compensate for having to read this rant.
P.P.S. For readers who are not familiar with Manila, the whole of Bonifacio GC (see my last post) is a new development not far from Makati (photo was taken from my apartment). At least one other ISGer also has apartment here.
