It is always amazing how things get activated by these sort of happenings (documentary) just as LE needs to watch TV what goes on in their back yard. TV reporters get into things that a army of investigating policemen of any kind, plain clothes, skilled, trained, imported from other regions, supported by intelligence and means (I don't refer to space ship technology or NCIS series but to simple police means) can't access and achieve?

I honestly never believe this. Matter of the fact is that they all know but turn their faces elsewhere for both tea money and for the sake of the hidden underground economy that, at the end of the day, sustain overground economies. And, maybe, I underline maybe, better have some sort of known crime than worst crime.

When things come up too public, and a TV series is probably the broadest way to are things public as can also slip out of the country if the documentary is well done, they can't turn their faces anymore.. To save face.

Take a place as Dubai... A kind of mongering capital in the heart of a Muslim area. Tens and tens of WG of different shapes, nationalities, actions...

All tolerated till things become uncomfortable for the powers who should not allow that.

I see that it's closed now. Strangely they had just moved around a lot of the interior, and in my opinion, really messed up the flow of the place. A few months later poof. Seemed to be doing a fair amount of business still, so I wonder why it's gone.

Have the quasi-Russian girls settled on an alternative venue for themselves yet?

Wondering if it really matters over the next while with the curfew anyway.

Yesterday in my hurry to beat the curfew deadline I zeroed in on a lady called Ehm with red designer glasses. I had another really friendly lady ready willing and able but stupidly I decided to check out the other ladies.

Anyway this was a pretty close to a disaster in my book, did not want to kiss and I had to beg for real blow job without a condom and then she complained I was too big. Then all kinds of drama about how much after agreeing in the bar. I refused to budge and thne encouraged her to leave early.

I don't see it a waste, from an owner point of view, not to have rooms occupied by girls in case the rooms are not used by ST customers.

Exploiting whatever resources a business brings to the table, is simply good business practice. Obviously if Poseidon or The Lord has all these rooms totally vacant at least half the day, and some probably most of the day (and even worse this year with the downturn etc), then they are going to exploit that so long as the additional marginal costs of such utilization are minimal. All things equal if they can pay the girls less by offering them free rooms, then they will do it, and based on what Sir Lancelot says about Phuket, that could well be the practice. I suspect most of the cars you see outside the The Lord during the day belong to the massage girls and other staff living right there, or perhaps out of town girls visiting for 3.5 week stints.

Apparently they are now kept in the rooms, however, it may be very difficult to get the sideliners to give a B2 B. If I had only known that they fetched the (hidden) mattresses upon request in the past, hmm.

The waste is in case you usually rent those rooms for a price and you can't.

I don't think the girls will pay for the use of the rooms. On the contrary, if used, the rooms will need cleaning etc before ening out back in service for ST use by customers. Too much of a hassle for no money.

I have a friend who lives in a studio and pays 100 b. A night (on monthly basis), so that is the benchmark, even adding saved transportation costs. Will the landlord rent ST rooms befor 150 night in the best case scenario? Then the girls should not have any other rent to be paid. Unlikely scenario.

That is a thought I made too (and I drink no alcohol, so no point 4 for me). We all know there are tens and tens of girls working in all gogo's. Bars mention (each) at least hundred in their premises, but that is for the marketing department. Even if some numbers are overrated and even if we refer to the whole workforce who not necessarily has to show every given night (LT BF, sick, home etc) what we see passing through the entry port from 6 to 8 or even 9 doesn't match with what you then see inside. I don't even mention that a good 30% of the passing girls do not look like possible gogo girls (and they can't even all be waitresses)... For the sake of the argument and statics you don't even see walking by the number of LB's filling those 3-4 places fully dedicated to that lifestyle.

By all means there is not sufficient space in the ST rooms in NEP to host them.

All this regardless of curfew as my observations refer to a few months ago.

The numbers start to be more logical at 2 am, when bars are closing and the workforce flows out, accounting that some numbers are missing as BF's took place and girls are already out for ST or LT's.

this report is a bit out of date. i had intended to supplement it with an update from a trip next week but that's now been postponed by an overly nervous client!

two visits each to [CodeWord900] and dr. bjs on my last trip to bangkok in march. my observation was that things were fairly desperate in terms of reduced business. at [CodeWord900] there was something of a clamour for attention, which was not my experience on previous visits and i was even offered a very good deal for two girls, which i didn't take as i had been building up the tank before the trip and felt i'd not last very long with two eager mouths working on me.

both times at loli's were as always. not especially good looking girls, more the homely types, but friendly and competent service all round.

two trips to dr. bjs too. have to walk past eden to get there and always feel a twinge of nostalgia. may have to stop in for old times' sake! first round at dr bjs and picked a fine-featured light skinned girl with short-cropped spiky hair. she recognised me before i did (which is quite flattering) but a minute after picking her i realised i'd had two previous encounters with her at annie's, the last being a couple of years ago. think she's become more handsome with age, actually, and the short hair gave her a raunchier look. anyway, it was certainly a happy reunion:0).

In the major soapies like Poseidon, The Lord, and others I wonder how they can just leave all those rooms vacant at night. Its not like Bangkok is going to enforce zoning laws. Note most seem to have their windows completely blocked out making it next to impossible from street level to see if any lights or TVs are on after normal closing times, lets say around 1:30 AM. In any case it would almost seems to be a complete waste of resources to not be using those rooms in some form.

Cristins in Phuket is a very similar set-up to some of these massage parlours in Bangkok. On my first ever trip to Thailand I went there and had a fantastic session with a cutie called Annie. I asked her if she'd like to meet up later that night and we exchanged phone numbers and agreed to meet in a nightclub. We partied for a few hours but then she told me that she had to be back at the massage parlour by 2 am as that is where the girls slept and they have a curfew. She told me that girls are fined if they stay out too late. I walked her back and noticed that there was a small security booth next to the entrance and the guard seemed to be ticking off the names of girls as they returned.

Next day I texted Annie asking if she would like to stay at my hotel for long-time that night. She told me to meet her outside Cristins when it closed at 11 pm. I sat on a step and watched all of the girls filing out and then last of all Annie appeared with the security guard, who agreed to turn a blind eye on her not returning at 2 am for 2500 baht (Annie's price at Cristins was 2800 as she was regarded a 'superstar' Annie explained that she got the lion-share of this so I agreed.

It makes sense that the rooms in these massage parlours wouldn't be left vacant overnight. I suspect the cleaners get accommodation too.

I think living in the short time hotel, this girl felt safe. She was surprisingly candid on matters other than where she lived. I understand there are still girls living upstairs in some of the properties over on Soi Cowboy.

Although not very probable its not impossible that for example some of the Rainbow 4 girls or other go go girls actually sleep on the stage a night, although I suspect some of the rare superstar mega earners are being put up in luxury apartments by sugar daddies, or getting some other kind of freebie luxurious accommodations

On a side note, what I find most amusing is when a FL to explain "where she works" will often point to the exact location where she usually stands or is seated in a chair at a particular venue as her place of work. For example sometimes girls from Biergarten might say "I work right there" (pointing to the now empty bar stool she just left to walk across the room to talk to you) Same with some Nana hotel parking lot girls, they will sometimes allude to the precise spot where they usually stand and wait for customers as their place of employment, just like they are working at a 7-11 or something. Of course this issue might only come up when an inquiry might be made along the lines "so you work a regular job too"?

While the trend is downhill, Bangkok working girls overall still tend to be very unspoiled relative to western women (P4P or otherwise) and the fact that they often can put up (w/o complaining) with simple living accomodations, and don't seem particularly fazed or bothered by considering a particular bar stool as their place of employment, actually impresses me. Even the Go Go's and regular bars, now and then when you run into a true hottie, your usual assumptions many times will often be proven wrong, as these girls (all things equal when compared to western P4P girls) are often far more down to earth than you might expect. Yes, certain negative things can often go along with very hot women, but with Thai women, there can be a lot of surprises on the positive side.
