Just heard from one of the managers at the "Mei Yi Deng" (32654;24609;30331;65289;hotel KTV that they will have a trial operation on 6/1 and officially open on 6/3. Any other fellow brothers hear same? Just wondering if there's any truth to this, if so this may be the beginning for other KTV's to follow suit. Things most likely won't be the same as before but hey. It's better than nothing right now.

BTW, received a few questions from friends on what I actually meant by my previous statement that CP is now like the Wild Wild West. It's just that Chang Ping is nowadays full of broke, desperate people (gals and guys) all trying to score before leaving never to come back; much worse than even during pre-Chinese New Year when crime regularly spikes up. So just a li'l heads up to be careful and beware.

And I forgot to mention. One of my mommies (one who I've used for many many years going back from when she was operating out of a BBS to when she started regularly operating out of KTV's) treated me for coffee and chit chat. The main tenet of what she wants me to know, and I guess to spread the word on is that she feels very aggrieved with / about Agents / tour guides. These dogs (LOL, her expression!) are basically sourcing their girls from her and other mommies, pressing them down for as little cut as possible, and then marking up THEIR girls to us mongers for ridiculous amounts. She really is quite PO'the and opines that it's a real travesty that it's their girls and -they're not getting their fair cut!

I don't know if it was the very hot weather or what! But Chang Ping really felt totally lifeless; gone are the throngs of girls and mongers walking about and I now mostly just see morose, blank-faced people going about their business. Hotels empty and advertising cheap rooms -Swan Lake RMB 128, Manhattan 178 etc. Or even just closed down like HMTL. Yeah, the one which had opened with so much (too much) fanfare just a few months ago. Serves them right actually LOL!

I'd say at least a quarter of the shops on SWL road are closed: - most nightspots like Mango (except 18 and California Red), just about all the telephone shops, Hong Kong style caf Yuen Long, Legend changed hands for only a rumored RMB 150 K, Jin Hao abandoned and just re-opened but empty. And of course the previously ubiquitous hair and nail shops all deprived of any custom or just abandoned. But the good news is. No traffic jams at all any time of the day or night!! Really a sorry sight, the whole street! The whole of Chang Ping too actually.

Downtown, the new LCC mall, Huaren, 8 mall etc have just about no customers at all but surprisingly, still a whole bunch of street hawkers outside. And what's odd is that a lot of these street hawkers are quite fetching young lassies, who I of course suspect are ex-WG's trying to still hold on and survive. I really tip my hat to the resourcefulness and determination of the young ladies of China!! And BTW, My friend treated (Thanks!) and I did also have a nice Footsy at the SWL hotel. No restrictions / not much and the girls all quite chatty and of course very flirty!..

It is sad what the crackdown has done to these places. It seems that the government is clamping down on everything.

Well CP is a ghost town eveb before the crack down now it is worst, there are no reason for the Hong konger to come here any more and I guess the protest by the CP business owner to the local city official is not doing any good.

And girls – yeah, what's left of them! In fact I had gone up as one of my especially nice regulars had at last decided to pack it all in and go back to work closer to home and return to selling clothes! Had a grand ole "good bye" session with her and Off she went! The same thing with a few other old regulars when I contacted them, most of them had already also flown the coop.

OK, no problem. Turned to my trusty list of mommies – and of course each one of them was so happy to hear from me! Right away they sent me pictures of their girl, but a disappointing 3, 4 or 5 only from each one because in the past, they regularly had at least a dozen or so in their herd. Oh well, never mind! I then of course reconfirmed what I want, will or will not accept and most importantly, the price. They all stated the old pricing: – 250 from the Swan Lake / Yalan area, but 200 from the Hui Mei alley momma – up from the 150 I had gotten for years even up to just before the yanda – but again, never mind! One of the Mommies was laughing, telling me that with most others, she'the quote 300 – and 9 times out of 10, the guy at the other end of the phone just readily accepts. "You guys are so desperate these days, Ha Ha! So guys, please do stand your ground when dealing with these mommies! And by the way, if your rate is 250, your gal have to give her mommy 100, if it was 300, she has to give 110.

And somehow or other, one of my old KTV mommies WeChatted me out of the clear blue sky. Hmmmm. Offering her girls at ridiculous prices; especially the fact that a couple of them, I know to be just BBS gals! She followed up with a phone call and when I confronted her with this tidbit, she of course just sheepishly admitted that she'the take on ANY girl who's still around and willing to work; but that to be fair to her other "Genuine KTV Princesses," she had to so price quite uniformly. So guys, again, Caveat Emptor!

Then a friend excitedly wanted me to go to Huizhou with him as he'the been receiving Texts / WeChat etc. From his old CP / CA sauna managers, offering great service there. Good thing I did not go with him! A 90 minute drive each way, RMB 70 non-refundable 3 hour hotel room fee and only then being shown a menagerie of girls for an additional 600 to 1,000 each. Oh, he said the service as "OK" but it's the cloak and dagger, the stealth, the walking up and down back staircases etc. Which all conspired to make his a less than satisfactory session. And of course then the long drive back to CP!

I also went to Xing Party and had to laugh at the "regulation" 16 x40 clear window cut out roughly from each door coupled with the huge convex shop-lifting mirror fitted out at each room. Haven't they ever heard of electronic cameras? That if they really are determined to deter illicit activities, that the use of cheap and discreet cameras with recording function would be the way to do so? But then again, I-say-you-say IS a proven method for authorities – real or otherwise – to extract money from you ain't it?! LOL.

Anyway, I guess CP is still "OK" if you do have contacts and don't expect things to be the way it used to be. And I'the rather suspect that things ain't ever going to recover – at least not for a good long while. And do be careful if you do decide to still go up – It's really the Wild Wild West these days there now! Hmmm. Is that what WWW. Mean?

This happened about 3 years, a friend of mine was hailing a cab on the street after dinner, all of the sudden, 4 guys came out of nowhere and attacked him. Kicking him to the curb, then ran off in different direction. People on the street just watched without lending a hand, or even called the police.

He never did find out who was behind it, but suspected it was 1 of his freeby sugar daddies. Try not to leave paper trail so they can track you down, move as often as you can or use different hotel paid by the hours.

Thanks guys for your concern. I do take precautions. I do not take any offer that comes along. I usually vett out the ladies to make sure that they are legit. One of them that is approaching 33 even ask me to impregnate her so that she can tell her lo gon that it is his. She is afraid that her lo gon will dump her in a few years. Telling him that it is his kid that she is carrying she could be on the payroll for another ten to twenty years.

To get into one of these ladies is fairly easy. Just some tender loving words. They really lack affection for the other twenty seven days plus in a month. Money can buy many material goods but the tender loving words can go a long ways. Being an older graying ABC does help (just an avg guy not even close to a George Clooney or a Choy Yun Fat). My mandarin is pretty bad but sometimes it can work to my advantage. Thankfully in Southern China my Cantonese is a tad better. Many of you that met and know me that my language skill is not the best but knowing a few right words is all you need.

Being an older graying ABC walking into a bar here I will be lucky to be batting .250 but in China my batting average is probably better than .750. It is nice to be an older graying ABC and blending into the crowd.

For the rest of you guys, lets hope the crackdown ends soon. I hear from colleagues that it is getting boring and everyone is afraid of getting busted. All the best.

P.S. If the ladies lo gon get wise on me, I guess, I will just hired OWL to throw some roundhouse kicks and protect my back and sides. Just kidding.

I do remember our meeting 12/13 years ago. Back in the days when Sha Tsui was an open field of pleasure. It is a shadow of what it was before. Thanks for the advice. I have been quite selective on the gals. There has been a few close calls, I am careful of who I deal with. Being an older ABC do have its advantages. It is amazing how some no cost TLC with these kept ladies can provide so much benefits. Again thanks for your advice.

I often get the same offers from these type of women in China. I never take them up on it. I always think about how cheap life still is here. And, I have seen what can happen if a local guy loses his face. Yes, you can blend in on the street being an ABC but may not be able to hide if one of the girls happens to fess up and spill the beans to her "lo gon" one day.

IMHO, it is better to stick to freebies without attachments or just P4 P. Stay safe, my friend.

These girls are virtually employees of their sugar daddy, and in Chinese fashion they will be treated as such, and will get slapped about of they fail to do anthing demanded of them, they will not be asked. So if you are a nice guy and treat them with a little respect you will keep them coming around, they see it a way of getting back at their boss man. Chinese like to have a mistress or two, and brag about it, gives them face and demonstrates he has the money to do it. Keep smiling.

They are not employees of their sugar daddies. They are free to come and go. In most cases, or at least in the ones that I see, their lo gon treats them well, giving them car, cash and nice apartments. These gals are treated very well and know that they will not have a regular relationship (as a traditional wife) with their lo gon.

The problem is that they only get to see their lo gon twice or three times a month at best. These gals are only normal and get horny the other 27 plus days of the month. They have their physical needs and they need a bit of loving. Due to the amount of $ and other things that their lo gon provide, they are not about to go out clubbing and getting exposed. Once exposed, their lo gon loses face and the gals loses everything. Being an older ABC, if I am seen with them walking in public I can pass as an older relative or something of that sort.

Its amazing for me to have the cake and eat it too. The real danger is that in the past, several of these ladies have ask me to get them pregnant so that they can tell their lo gon that it is their, thereby continuing the flow of money to them as they get older. Many of these female fear that it they reach their early or mid thirties their lo gon will see them as undesirable. So having a baby, hopefully a boy will keep the funds rolling in. That could be an added danger in the game for me. Just my two rmb on this.

I suspect that it would be difficult for a westerner to meet and establish a relationship with a mistress (ernai), and even more difficult with a xiaosan. For a start, where do you meet them? Would they even want to have a relationship with a westerner (the lucky BnLee2 is an ABC)?

I also suspect that these girls have significant power and unlikely to get slapped around. In the past few years, there have been a number of high level officials who have been jailed, and lost their positions, due to aggrieved or wronged ernais exposing their relationships and (corrupt) payments on the internet.

Anyway, please advise how to meet one of the many thousands of ernai in Shenzhen (the ernai capital of China).

No offense taken, No Venus Butterfly nor Love Potion #9, just a few choice words and it will go a long ways for you. You must remember that like all gals, they lack affection in such a relationship. When their lo gon just comes around several times a month and stay for a few hours the rest of the month they are lonely. Many fear that if they are caught being unfaithfull they will lose their gig (money, car, apt etc). Me being an older ABC with some graying hair will be off the radar for someone spying on them. I could be an older uncle or relative.

Late last year, during one of my business visits to China, one of these freebie reserve a suite a luxury hotel nearby and literally fu&ked the living daylights out of me for two days after my meeting. To boot, she knows that I am married with a family. She even picked up some nice gifts for me to bring home before I got to the hotel so that I can spend a few more hours with her. Yes these gals are treating me like a king without me paying a friggin dime. Totally a freebie. You just need to understand that some of these "kept" women are really lonely and needs affection. One of them is giving me a referral under the condition that I will give her first priority to her friend.

Two of my freebies are telling me that due to the crackdown, their lo gons' are getting less outside actions and now their lo gons' coming around more often. Instead of seeing them twice a month, they are coming by almost weekly. With this crackdown, I'm glad to kept my freebies. One of them is asking me to see her friend in a similar situation.

I really can not see these guys spending all this $ to have these women kept and see them just two times a month. Giving them cars, condo, $ etc. .
