Weather is about as good as it gets. Supermarket prices have plummeted. Great time to be in Rio.

Wow. My ex girlfriend was just telling me that it is a terrible time to be in Rio. She said it is cold and that I would not like it. I had plans to go on August 7, but she said to go somewhere warmer and try Rio after October. I'm a beach guy.

I was in Copa last night and there still are some tourists left over from the Cup but traffic is very light. Weather is about as good as it gets. Supermarket prices have plummeted. Great time to be in Rio.

This is a problem for being tourist and outsider, it takes long time to find out which are bad apples and which are girls that you like. Doing research is expensive.

I think the best solution to your problem is to stop fully relying on Balcony for the purpose of hunting for sex. In my opinion, shopping for sex in Balcony has similar risk as if you try buying a cellphone, watch or gold chain from one of those street hustlers. Once you pay the money and if the product is fake, you can't complain or claim refund from anyone. During my previous trips, I made daily trips to either Bel Prazer by afternoon or Terma 4 x4 around 5 pm to avoid are $50 entrance fee. They are clean establishments and well organized. Moreover, you have a large variety of girls to choose from. However, I did visited Balcony few nights in order to do find a new girl for round 2. Unfortunately, Balcony is the only place open on Sundays. Thus, you have no choice but to hunt in Balcony for action that day and the girls are well aware of that. I have to disagree. When it comes to racial diversity, Brazil wins hand down over Thailand or Phillippines.

Thai and Phillipnes are basically asians, few are biracial. Rio is on my "very short" list to potential places to live in for sure! Absolutely amazing people .However, "mongering" in definition was about "short-term" destinations where "tourists, fuck and go". Even without factoring the distance, as I mentioned many other places offering way more.

You are so right, not sure why people would flock there to monger. Just creatures of habit I assume. Rio use to be off the hook, but now that they close everything and are trying to clean the place up, it doesn't have the same appeal.

I don't know if Balcony was opened, girls working there told me that it would open on day 15, I am not in Rio anymore can't check.

Girls also told me that place would be different, they would have windows, so it would be more closed place. Also girls should use stylistic clothes, and only good looking girls would be let inside? Also no transvestites anymore would let be used inside and use toilet. These are all rumours heard from girls who are normally working there.

Probably toilet will still stink a lot.

Don't know what Rio is like during the WC period, but I visited Rio about 2-3 months ago. Sorry I didn't see your email sooner.

As far as the termas, I would generally say stick to 4 x4, although that coupon for Solarium would be hard to resist. 4 x4 is the most popular terma, and definitely the local's choice as well.

For a non-punting tip, if you haven't already, also be sure to head to Lapa after your sessions tonight. Fantastic live music and general nightlife, very akin to the vibe in Salvador.

Please post your thoughts after this trip. I am really curious to know what happened to the scene after the WC was finished.

What can you get here that you can't get better, cheaper and safer and closer in countless other places like Phili / Thai / moroc / Ukraine (all EEU). And don't get me even started on trying to compare it's establishments to the ones found in Germany.
