    Manscaping

Seems like the girls are getting upset too about guys who shave their pubes.

    A 320 isn't small. LOL.

BTW my first visit to PP was in a Cebu Pac DC9. In 2001/2002.

If you had scouted you can get return tickets to PP less than 3,000 per pax, well I am a budget traveller so I look for cheap deals.

    El Nido, Palawan

Palawan is a big island and the place to be is El Nido. Cebu Pacific flies A320's both from Manila and Cebu. After arriving in Puerto Princessa, it is a 4 to 5 hour van ride north to the beach town of El Nido where there is accommodations to fit every budget. Here is an example of a 5 star property above most budgets where the TV series 'Survivor' was filmed: http://www.elnidoresorts.com/elnido/...-lagen-island/ If you go this route, good to have at least a week for travel and adventure.

Instead of flying back out of PP, take the ferry to Caron and fly back to Manila from there via CP. PM me if you need some suggestions for accommodations and more info about El Nido.

    Power (less) in the Philippines

GE has written some interesting and informative FRs this year about the power crisis in country, the rolling brownouts, the lack of planning by the politicians (all of whom knew there would be a crisis in the future but did little to resolve the mess. Until the 2016 elections are around the corner and then it is too late).

    His FR links are below.

    http://www.internationalsexguide.inf...484&viewfull=1#post1564484.

    http://www.internationalsexguide.inf...474&viewfull=1#post1564474.

    http://www.internationalsexguide.inf...484&viewfull=1#post1545484.

Now today in the Philstar is an admission from the DOCE chief (Petilla) that March and April 2015 are not the best times to be in the country due to a serous power shortage. He is asking for emergency powers to resolve the lack of MW. As GE said in the earlier FRs you have to despair at the lack of planning from those in power when other ASEAN countries seems to have so little fuss.

    http://www.philstar.com/headlines/20...sis-looms-2015

I always read the comments at the end of the article and have noticed over the last 12-18 months how nastier they have become about the politicians (not just this one who has been called incompetent by a elder senator and never resigned when he said he would Christmas last year).

So maybe for those planning a visit to the Philippines the period March / April 2015 could be a time to avoid?

    Palawan

Thanks for the information. I guess I am looking for a nice beach resort and had heard Palawan was the area. I can bring my own cutie for a few days. If this is not the nice resort area I am open to other suggestions.

I took Philippine Airlines in 2012. The tickets were P3232 per person. All the planes going there are small (***and late****). The airport is probably the size of your family room. I am a diver so I went there for diving and stayed at SeaDive Resort. Room with AC (unit was too small for the room size) was P1400/ night. There are no 3-4 star hotels in the area. There may be only 3 choices of places to stay period. If you are going for diving then I highly recommend SeaDive. Actually, if you are not a diver then I would not recommend going to Coron at all. Puerto Princesa may be more of what you are looking for on the island of Palawan.

May I ask what sites you consider better? I too have gotten the shaft from DiA, and Presently I am using my American VPS provider as a private proxy for my second account, but if it goes south I'm out of IP addresses. I'd like to have alternatives. I don't think their new SOP is particularly attractive.
