i did a repeat of the previous night. bats followed by cj's. six significant experiences to note would be -

1 - met a tall mixed girl at cj's who told me she was half indonesian and half pakistani. studied at the london school of business communication, or something. was very polished and nice to talk to. almost 6 feet tall with her heels. looked indian. said she liked me and hence would drop her initial offer of 2 million for an hour to 1. 5 million for 2 hours.

2 - i latched on to a light skinned tall indonesian girl linda and took her back for a more reasonable price than number 1 above.

3 - taxi got pulled over by police on passing the selamat datang monument, roundabout (plaza indonesia). was threatened with being booked for not having passport or copy of it on my person, and had to pay a bribe to get out of this situation. more on this later when i get time to put down the words.

4 - if i had taken up offer number 1 above, and left cj's earlier, chances are i would not have found myself in situation number 3.

5 - linda more than made up for the bad experience once we got back to the room.

6 - one really wasted guy peed his pants sitting at the bar in bats! only a couple of patrons and the floor mopping dude observed this. this guy is well known to the bar staff and was being an absolute nuisance to the girls with his pawing.

My first business trip to Jarkata back in 2000 I was staying at Mecure in Kota, yes there are many massage place around the area and I just take the Taxi everywhere in Jarkata most taxi driver know where is the actions I like to explore different area of the city.

For someone who is staying at Le Meridien for their first time in Jakarta, it makes sense to go to Fortune right across the street for a massage rather than go way up to Kota when you don't know the area. I think Malioboro is pretty easy to find and to get a taxi back to your hotel, but some of those other places are not easy to find or to get a taxi home from all the time.

BATS at Shangri-La was quiet last night. Enough women (I counted 24) and few men. Some of the girls were pretty good looking although I did not approach any. The local band was rubbish. Firstly thanks to all mongers who helped to enjoy Jakarta.

My experience. Malioboro and Alexis. Quite Similar in the type of services offered. Locker tag and everything gets charged to it. Well if you want to enjoy some boobs show these are the places.

Myself picked up M from BATS. Was really hot in bed. Damage around $150 USD including drinks and pocket money.

Suggestion. Look presentable and go to the expats clubs, you should be able to pick up somebody if you have the $$.

I didn't have time to to rest of the joints. Maybe next visit.

Any advice / suggestions would be grateful.

One obvious benefit to Fortune Spa is that it is directly across the street from Le Meridien, saving you an hour or more (round trip) in a taxi to go almost anywhere else.

I found Fortune to be very hit-or-miss, some of the girls were great, others a waste of time. One tip: when you first go in, you are asked what kind of room you want. My experience is that you are better off paying for the nicest room, and you are more likely to get FS if you do so. Don't be afraid to ask the counter person about the services that you are looking for with a girl, they will not be offended and will guide you accordingly, so don't be shy.

The Tiga Puluh bar in the basement of Le Meridien is also hit-or-miss. Good luck!

I know the quality is really down than Ritz. But then I am going to spend the whole day in the conference in Ritz and then sleep off at the hotel. Will go for the Malioboro then. Have read that it is better than Maribaya. Any pointers with what are the current prices.

Sorry to hear that. The Ritz is one of the best hotels in the city. Le Meridien is a big drop off in quality. Less than 1/2 the price though, so your company will save money.

I recommend you take a taxi from your hotel to Malioboro (it's right next to Gajah Mada plaza). Malioboro is way better than Maribaya or Fortune.
